Hello.
When starting week two? Time??
June 2nd I think.
Yes of course, but hours?
I believe GAW is working off Eastern US time, so by the end of that day.

what pools are people having success with? WeMineLTC seems to keep kicking me off every 10-12hrs. If you can post if your pool is working good or having problems and ill keep a list updated of everyone's recommendations here.

Just started my miners with zwnminer and they are not showing any hash rate por working after setting pool anyone know why?

I'm running 3 Furies on Windows 7 using the provided cgminer without any issues.  The only difference is that I specified all 3 com ports to check on the command line.

You could try adding "-S COM7 -S COM9" to your cgminer start line and see if that helps.

I also have had no issues using all 3 of them on my zenMiner.  Both ways, I get about 4MH/s out of all 3 combined on clever.  If the pool you are mining on has a low worker difficulty setting, you're going to start getting a lot more stales and rejects than if you try to mine on a pool with a starting worker difficulty of 512 or higher.

I think that I'll try running them together again and see if I can get it working. I also noticed that about the low difficulty issue. Pretty much if the pool starts out low the Fury miners take a dump. The errors I keep getting are "Low difficulty share" and stale until the difficulty ramps up.

Does anyone know how granular the frequency setting is? I know with some ASIC's it's only able to jump 25Mhz at a time, but it doesn't seem like that's the case with these Zeus chips.

Anybody has any info on a War Machine ? how much power ? how much it's hashing ? any real photos ?

So, it looks like there is some kind of software issue when trying to run both off of one cgminer instance. This was on Windows 7; is the same issue going to occur on the ZenMiner? Where it looks like it's hashing correctly, but it's silently only sending one miners work?

It seems like you have the right config but that one of your Fury's isn't getting the right amount of power. Can you try a few different power combinations? If this doesn't work, just try the non working device alone. If this doesn't work, the unit may need to be RMA'd. This is handled through gawminers.com and/or [email protected].

Ok. I'll go ahead and try them individually and I'll swap the power bricks between the units to see if that makes a difference. Both bricks feel about the same warmth so it seems that both a pulling about the same power. I'll report back in a few minutes.

Thanks for the help.  Grin

EDIT: Ok after playing around with them here is what I've found.

1. Both Fury's can hash just fine by themselves. Well other than the issues with cgminer you guys are working on.

2. The Fury's were originally on COM7 and COM8. I decided to try and run 2 instances of cgminer both pointed at a different COM port. This didn't work; when I'd fire up the COM8 cgminer instance it would kill the COM7 instance (Shares would stop being submitted).

3. After swapping which usb ports they were plugged into I ended up with them being on COM7 and COM9. This time I was able to run 2 instances of cgminer, and other than some extreme fluctuation in hashrate; it seems that it's working now. Pool shows ~2.6MH which is where it should be. EDIT: Seems like it's swinging over 500KH/s on both the pool and the local hashrate reported.  Shocked

Hi. Currently, Zeus and GAW Miners are working on a newer firmware/cgminer that should solve some hash rate fluctuation issues. We will also submit this to zenMiner when the testing is done so that your ZenControllers will receive the automatic silent update.

I just wanted to let you all know that we are aware of this and actively working on a solution.

Thanks.

Thanks for the update. Hopefully the firmware / cgminer will be ready soon.

Seems like I'm having another issue now with trying to run two Fury's. On the pool side its been stuck saying 1.3-1.5 for the past 30 min; then when I checked I noticed this earlier:

It looks like the second Fury is hashing, but it doesn't look like cgminer is doing anything with the work it's doing?  Huh

I gave it a bit more time after taking that screenshot, but it looks like it's really only sending one Fury's work.

Edit: here is the bat file I'm using:

Code:
cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://stratum.rapidhash.net:3333 -u worker.name -p worker_password --nocheck-golden --per-device-stats --chips-count 6 --ltc-clk 328 -S //./COM7 -S //./COM8
pause

Man those numbers are high.

I am doing 10mh at 167 watts on 2 gridseed blades and 1 gridseed  5 chip .  and one of the gridseed blades is defective .  I should be doing 11.0mh

but I have  a 1200 watt plat seasonic  which is more efficient then your psu.   still  you are 3.4x the power for   1.5 x the hash

Something is wrong with the firmware these miner should be at much lower numbers.

I am doing 16.7 watts an mh  with the gridseeds

Which raises the $64M question:  Do our GAW miners use the same chip as the Zeus?  Odd they were both released within days of each other, at similar price points, zenminer supports both, but the GAWs power usage seems to be twice what the Zeus advertises (I haven't seen if they are actually delivering on that advertisement).

Some have been guessing the same chip, but different board designs?  If so, there might be hope for a firmware patch to greatly cut the power down.

I can confirm they are using Zeus' chips. When I first looked at the chips I thought there was no writing on them but after looking more closely I can see that they say "Zeus" and a part number.

The power use of these is completely unacceptable. My 7 voltmodded gridseeds use ~60W for 2.7Mh. That means I could run 70 of them at 600W for 27Mh. My Falcon is drawing 1135W, not including 5W for the Pi.

I looked at the cgminer config on the ZenController. It has freq set to 838 which is very different than the "--ltc-clk 328" we're seeing recommended. Is the cgminer version on the ZC different than the download? Edit: Looks like freq is different. It's still using --ltc-clk 328 param along with that freq setting.

Edit again: Also looks like the config only has 1 pool in it despite setting 2 pools on the website. Why wouldn't it have them saved in the config?

There is an issue here, and you need to contact tech support. The ones we have in house run between 780- 970 watts. Please contact Luke at tech support.

Can someone with a Fury and a gridseed verify the barrel connector is the same size?  2.1mm I think?

I'd like to get a PCIE --> Barrel adapter but need to know they are the same size and polarity.

GAW, you sell these on your site, can you comment and let us know if they work with the Fury?  I have 5 on order and do NOT want a bunch of hot power bricks.

Thanks!

I just checked with the barrels that Zoomhash sent me with my Gridseeds and yes, they are the same size and it fits.

Thanks for taking the time to check!

Is anyone else having this issue?

This seems to occur pretty regularly. It'll sit there for like 8 seconds chewing on a share; then it either submits it, or it says it's stale and then it moves on.

Seems to be affecting the hashrate on the pools I've tried.

I got the same thing with switching pools. All my pools look like the picture above.

Are you using a coin switching pool? Try a single coin pool like a litecoin pool and see if it happens there. I have my Fury working at Clever and it's not jumping like yours.

Right now I'm on LTCRabbit to test. I'll try another pure coin pool.

The cgminer released so far is pretty unstable; seems like a lot of weird issues with it.  Shocked

Its not just the CGminer. Try the zencontroller its giving the same results.

I think they need to work the firmware on these.

@ GAW any idea when we can have a more stable Cgminer(and or zenminer) and more Stable firmware. My poolside and Client side hash rates are jumping like a frog on a hot plate. I am also getting nonces and HW errors. Also the power supplies are getting hotter then hades on the furys. Thanks
