I'm really considering converting my two Ant S3's into Genesis hashlets and then putting those up for sale.
Considering 475 Gh/s average that would be 950 Gh/s and thus 95 Genesis hashlets of 10 Gh/s. Which would (when selling for 7 USD each) give back 665 USD.

While they're selling they'll make a bit more revenue and I could just sell half of them for example instead of having to sell the S3 at once (if that's ever possible) or have it ship to me with additional shipping costs.

Primes were supposed to be able to mine SHA-256 today, now GAW_CEO says next friday. Delayed again.

The longer he delays that the less profitable SHA gets... I have no interest in SHA at this point with all the rises in difficulty etc... I think it's a dead horse for most people.
I have an SHA miner and I'm screwed if the price stays around $400. If I could go back in time I'd sell my coins instead of buying S3 when BTC was trading for over $500.
All SHA miners are in a similar situation.

Yes I have the same problem .

Even after an update of the CA certificates (running on linux )

This is the most confusing claim so far today:

https://hashtalk.org/topic/8483/hashlet-selling-methods

The reason we are using the Buy Back Program for Hashlet Primes is to start buying them out of circulation. This means that GAW will buy them back and not re-release them. We are going to start decreasing the amount of Primes in the wild to make them more valuable.

But as far as I can see Primes are still for sale and will remain so according to this:

I didn't realize GAW is again selling "real" hardware:

http://gawminers.com/collections/all-miners/products/18-20-mh-s-thunder-x6-by-zeusminer-1-month-of-free-zencloud-hosting-service-24-hour-activation-low-power-scrypt-asic-miner

This is interesting. Hosting fee $1.10 per day, less than hashlets, which would be $1.60 per day for 20 MH/s. First month is free. ~22.5 USD per MH/s. Might be a better deal than ZenHashlet, although unlikely to ROI anyway.

Do newly purchased Genesis at $7.99 get the 50% boost?

Nope. It's worded confusingly enough to make it sound like they might, but you should know better by now Smiley

For a short time, Hashlet Genesis can be bought for just $7.95 per 10GH/s as part of the promotion

Looks like they wanted to distance themselves from a company that was breathing down their necks for the last few weeks (GM).
Good move, I wonder if the competition will continue to follow.

Not sure if they can... I still wonder how they can afford to do this... But, as long as I keep getting my BTC I guess I don't care all that much!

So this should give primes about a 33% boost to mining, provided you log into your account and keep boost+double pool mining going?

That combats the Zenpool decreases pretty much exactly, so then we are back at ~147 days to earn $25/MH. God knows how long that will take for a Prime to ROI.

Genesis miners look like the best return at this point? Is that right?

Not sure man... It is if you can buy them for $8 AND they get the boost.. But not sure if that's the case.

edit - I haven't done the math, but people on the forums are saying even at $8 15gh ROI is infinity at 20% diff increases. So I dunno.

They can't put Prime's on the marketplace! Volder would lose $10,000+ if they put primes on the marketplace ;p

Hashlet Primes will get every single amp in HashStore FREE, forever!

...

Primes won’t get free access the all the amps that increase your performance

 Huh

The rest of it is pretty good. Especially the 50% Genesis bonus. Marketplace without Primes sucks and the amp business I don't understand at all, need to see how it works first.

Did he mean won't or will?

Also... Do newly purchased Genesis at $7.99 get the 50% boost? If so, imma go broke buying those up...

I'd ask on the forum.. But well... You know.
