I'm a bit disappointed at Leipzig because they did fight to win the league title from Bayern Munich back then and they too shouldn't be dropping point and struggling to stay consistent, on the other hand, Leverkusen I believe they will come back and with what they did last season is enough reason why we shouldn't count them out of the title race even if the point gap is a bit wide, they will come back and they're waiting for that opportunity to slide into the top 3 then losing and drawing games won't be part of them anymore, talking about Leverkusen.

You are right Mainz deserves credit for their win. In football it is not always easy for team to win when they have fewer players on field because of red cards. But sometimes it happens. Mainz played well and won. Dortmund is having tough season. Their problem is not scoring goals they are doing okay with that. Problem is letting in too many goals. Bayer Leverkusen has same issue. They struggle to keep other team from scoring. When they score goals they often let in goals too. Both Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen need to work on their defense. They need to find ways to stop other team from scoring.

That's why Xabi Alonso's side has not been able to see the similar kind of success they had in the last season. I think if the same tactics have been used by the same coach with a great squad like Real Madrid or Manchester City, he would have still found success because the squad is much better and the depth is great. I think we'll also have to move on from this club and look at Real Madrid.

Nobody seems to remember that Bayer Leverkusen had several games last season that were unbelievably close. It could have gone wrong, but it didn't last season while it does this season. This makes the difference for the most part thus far.

But predictability is obviously another problem they are trying to cope with now. But you would think that it shouldn't take teams 34 games to find a strategy against Leverkusen last season. It's never easy to repeat record breaking achievements like what Leverkusen did last season. I never thought for a second that they could repeat it.

The other thing is that Bayern Munich is having better results. Leverkusen didn't lose a bunch of games, just one, but they lost the points in close games that they won in the previous season. But they still have a strong team in my opinion.

Dortmund has lost four of the last ten league games; their performance has been inconsistent this season; they can perform well today but go down the next game. Nuri Sahin's squad performance has been inconsistent this season, at times, I doubt if they are competing for the title because they do not look to be hungry to lift the trophy. Dortmund is presently in seventh place, after obtaining 16 points from ten league games and is behind the league top by 10 points.

However, even though Dortmund plays with all men since they sell some of their players, I don't think they could win against Mainz. I'm not sure how they'll perform this season, but I wouldn't be shocked if they failed to finish in the top four.

Looks like that Frankfurt is on fire this season and the last weeks , saddly i placed my bet on a Stuttgart win this time.

I have stopped playing Borussia Dortmund to win and the only time I add them to my betting slip when playing parley is when I play them over 2.5 goals or both teams to score. I can't afford to take risk on an inconsistent club like Dortmund that have made it very difficult to know when they will win. In their last match against Mainz, they were practically absent minded in the game even before they receive the 27th minute red card that is now used as excuse for losing the match. They have to do something about their playing psychology because that seems to be their greatest challenge at the moment.

For sure Nuri Sahin is under pressure right now after they havnt played that well and lost a few games in the German League.
From that game yesterday where Dortmund played against Mainz it was the red card for Emre Can what broke there neck and why they lost this game.
On top of that there are a few injured players , but that should be no excuse and fingers crossed they playing better next week.

This is just a classic case of 'how the mighty has fallen'. Yes, there's the possibility of a bounce back but if they couldn't collect all three points from a weak club like Bochum, how confident can we be that they can do something with other more stubborn clubs?
All I know is this season would be difficult for Bayer Leverkusen and I guess they were just meant to taste that level of superiority only once which was last season and if they don't get back up, the same fans who sang Xabi Alonso's praises last season may well on call for his sack this time around..just saying.

Yup that's right, I agree with you that it should be quite an easy result for Leverkusen to get three full points when playing against Bochum considering that Bochum is a weak team and now they are at the bottom of the standings, but can we see how the result is? yes they drew, I think this is embarrassing for a team that just won the title last season, meaning I think it's right to say that Leverkusen has now lost its power, most of the matches they have played have ended in a draw even though they played against teams that can be said to be very weak. On the other hand of course this is a season that will be very difficult for Leverkusen, the question is as you said how can they play against much stronger teams like Bayern Munich or Leipzig if they fail against weak teams, I'm sure that there will be a lot of negative comments that will corner Xabi Alonso especially from their fans.
