Bayer Leverkusen's fate is in their hands right now. If they can beat Bayern Munich, their championship claims will continue. If they lose to Bayern, they will throw in the towel. It will be a critical match for Bayern Munich and I think Kompany will win this match. I will be eagerly waiting for the result of this match, which will be one of the important tests for Xabi.
Vincent Kompany will also reciprocate his energy towards ensuring his winning for the team. While Xabi Alonso is taking good time to monitor his squad because he's always in for the very best results, he wouldn't settle for less because there are more uprising stats to accomplish for the team as manager. We compared both team stats this season, Bayer Leverkusen are ranked second position on the Bundesliga table with 45 points while Bayern Munich sits at the top comfortably with 51 points. This amazing stats of these big teams doesn't come from relenting roots, rather it comes with epic performance and consistency, they tied up the bigger chances of winning matches and coming out stronger than before.

The problem with Kompany is that nobody can tell whether he is making the team better or not. Would it make a difference if my grandma was sitting on the bench coaching the team or not?

I think Bayern had a few coaches that clearly had a positive impact on the team. Guardiola first and foremost, but Heynckes was amazing too when they broke all those records. But then they had a few coaches where I don't know whether they had any impact on the team. Is Bayern winning because they are the best team and could actually play without a coach and still win? Or is Bayern winning because Kompany is doing such an amazing job? It's hard to give an answer and I would tend to believe that Kompany is not the coach who can make players like Kane and Musiala and most of the others any better.

That's right. Leverkusen last season was indeed difficult to stop, even Leverkusen was behind first but they often made a comeback. However, this season Leverkusen has lost its advantage because it was able to retain most of its best players but it did not show much improvement.

Moreover, after losing their unbeaten record against RB Leipzig in their 2nd match in the Bundesliga this season, this is where they seem to have lost a little passion. The passion of last season seems to have disappeared, but they still have a chance to catch up with Bayern Munich because the match is still long. The moment to rise might be when they face Bayern Munich in the 22nd match at home. If they manage to beat Bayern Munich, not only will their points increase but their spirit and passion will rise again to defend the Bundesliga title this season. Moreover, Alanso this season is rumored to be his last season, of course he will give the best impression for Leverkusen.
Nah, see, this is exactly what's happening! Last season Leverkusen had that fire: comebacks, resiliency, pure will to win. But now? It's true that they were affected emotionally and mentally by losing their undefeated streak to Leipzig. Their performance reveals no sign of that passion. They are still solid, without doubt, but not explosive. And if you're not explosive, you don't defeat Bayern

Xabi Alonso is a brilliant man without doubt. But is his mind already on his next move? You have rumors connecting him to Liverpool, Real Madrid. This isn't some nobody coach; we are talking about a man who completely change an entire club. You believe he is considering Leverkusen long term? No way. He most likely wonders, "How do I leave with a bang?" And THAT could save Leverkusen this season. He will challenge them, particularly in that Bayern game

That game on matchday 22 is THE moment. Leverkusen is back if they win. Should they lose? Done with seasons. Alonso most likely leaves early, and Bayern runs away with it. No passion, no title

Winning the title back to back isn't an easy achievement neither, sure Bayern did that for many years, but that is Bayern and they have that legacy, no other team has done that for a long long time, Leverkusen winning is already a big deal, it's understandable if they can't do it that easily, it's definitely a big ask and we shouldn't be shocked that they can't.

I still can see them winning, it is not impossible, so we shouldn't be talking like the league is over because it is not and we are going to end up with something that will take a while. I know it is not an easy choice, but we could make this happen if Leverkusen does well and Bayern has a few shocking results, it is not really that much of a gap, so we need to wait and see.
The league is not yet over in the German bundesliga because bayern munich May be topping the league with some points difference but they are not that fantastic infact if you have been following Bayern Munich progress in the bundesliga for some weeks you could tell that they are only getting lucky in the past three matches that they have played because in the past two weeks games they have conceded goals from teams that are battling relegation because against Freiburg they conceded a goal and against holstein Kiel they conceded three goals to win four three so bayern munich has jut been luck because in their past three games they would have lost all but due to inexperience in part of the team's they won and we can see that play out in the champions League as they where humiliated by feyernoord 3:0

Leverkusen started poorly in the start of the also some of their key players where on injury so i think they can still come back and win the league because they have the  players and manager that can do it so far they have been consistent in their performance just some few draws in their past few games that is why bayern munich has increased their lead in the league to about seven points but this league is still open to Leverkusen to win

While I respect Leverkusen for getting another win, I also have to point out that they are a bit too late. Getting a tie last week proved that they are not ready for a back-to-back title wins, the gap is still six points and I am not sure if we could see Bayern losing 7+ more points than Leverkusen would.

Even if Leverkusen somehow manages to win every single game they have left, it's still quite near impossible for Bayern Munich to lose 7 points after this point, could it happen? Maybe, I mean the possibility is out there, but even then we would have to see Bayer Leverkusen lose zero points after this point, which we all know won't happen. Hence, it is not really that much of a complicated thing to assume the league is over already. If Leverkusen got that win last week, then maybe we could have seen some stuff change.
Leverkusen's performance is very different from last season, this season they have lost many points so that it is doubtful that they can defend their title. Being six points behind Bayern Munich is actually not too bad if Alonso is able to lift the team's performance until the end of the season. Leverkusen still has a chance to close the gap when they will meet again in the next match which will be played at the Bay Arena.

Yes, their meeting in the 22nd week of the Bundesliga will be a decisive match, Leverkusen who has the status as the host has a slight advantage because playing in front of their own supporters will increase the confidence of their players, if Leverkusen chooses to fight for the Bundesliga title then 3 points is the price they must pay.
But on the one hand of course Bayern Munich will not remain silent because this match is also an opportunity for them to claim the title.
In their first meeting ended with a draw, in this second meeting I hope to see a different result.

Leverkusen is putting pressure bayern munich as to try to get back to the top of the league  an impressive win for Leverkusen to as they overcame Hoffenheim by 3:1 this win is coming at the right time because they need the three point the most in this present time Leverkusen has to maintain this kind of performance going forward if they plan of winning the league and nice one for victor boniface as he score today after his failed move to saudi pro league
Six points are not enough in securing Bayern Munich's spot from Leverkusen. The pressure was there, and it's reflected from how struggle Munich to beat a bottom team. They also almost got draw, but how fortunate they were leading the game with 4 goals.

If they keep play the same in the coming weeks, i'm pretty sure Leverkusen can pass them.
6 points is a small difference for Leverkusen and this club only needs to win 2 matches if Leverkusen continues to perform consistently winning and Bayern loses points in their 2 matches then Leverkusen can overtake them, but so far Bayern Munich is still performing well and has not shown any signs of decline, yes even though Bayern Munich almost got a draw when playing against Hostein Keil but that did not happen because Bayern Munich had ensured their victory by scoring many goals before the opposing club replied with 2 goals which became 3 goals in the last minutes.

but the next 2 games will be very interesting because Leverkusen will play against Wolfsburg and Bayern. it turns out that Leverkusen has been doing very well when playing against Bayern

If in the next 2 games Leverkusen win and Bayern win one and lose the other, then Bayern will only be 3 points ahead of Leverkusen and 3 points is not a big deal

If we talk about Company and Nagelsmann, I prefer Nagelsmann's game system.
Unfortunately, at that time Bayern did not have a reliable center forward, and Bayern management did not give him the opportunity to complete his duties in the Bundesliga and Champions League.
Same here , Nagelsmann is a hell of a good Coach and he showed it already when he took over of the German National Team.
Yeb there was not really a good striker there and they was very unlucky at this time.

Talking about the Bayern vs Bremen match, theoretically Bayern Munich should be able to complete its duties well.
Even when Bayern Munich is playing at home against Werder Bremen i guess that Bremen will be doing all that it gets hard for Munich.
For sure Munich ist the favorite in this game and they should be win that if all goes normal.
But what is normal nowadays , but my bet goes for Bayern Munich on friday.

I mean game was pretty much over by the time Leverkusen got their red card, so acting as if they did something magical after they were left with 10 players isn't really a good statement, surely a good clickbait headline but the reality is that they were 3-0 ahead before that red card, and they just got a good defense going afterwards, that's it. They could have won with even more difference that much is true, but that doesn't mean that we are going to end up with that much of a trouble to begin with.
Leverkusen has had a very high fighting power and we can even see how they often make comebacks in every match, but if we talk about the match against Hoffenheim a few days ago, of course the red card no longer has an effect on them after leading with a score of 3 goals before the red card occurred, but even so, Hoffenheim in that match was able to take advantage of the advantage in the number of players by scoring 1 goal in return,  Although they were unable to equalize the score, Hoffenheim actually increased the intensity of their attack and could trouble Leverkusen although it was not enough to catch up with them in the match.

In this match, Hoffenheim players played well and attacked relatively more. However, Leverkusen was tactical. Leverkusen players tried to attack too much. However, the attacks made by Leverkusen players were well-planned. This is why Leverkusen was able to score three goals.

Leverkusen led 2-0 in the first half. And at the beginning of the second half, the team scored another goal. However, in the 61st minute, the referee showed Grimaldo a red card. And after that, Leverkusen changed their match strategy and played defensively. Since Leverkusen had already taken a 3-0 lead, it was not difficult for Leverkusen to win this match, even after Grimaldo got a red card.

If Leverkusen had not scored their goals in the first half, things could have been very difficult after the red card because Hoffenheim did not play badly and they could have taken advantage of the chances they had. Sometimes football luck has to be on your side and I think football luck was on Leverkusen's side in this match.

After the 61st minute of the match, Leverkusen played with 10 men and after that minute, Hoffenheim had the chance to come more planned and score more goals but they could not take advantage. Leverkusen continues to follow Munich by increasing its points to 45. Things could get better for Leverkusen if Munich loses points.

I think Leverkusen is not that bad, they just lost a lot of points in the first few games of the season because they have not found their best performance but as time goes by Xabi Alonso can solve the problem and now Leverkusen has found their best performance again.
Being 6 points behind Bayern who are at the top of the standings is not a big problem because the journey this season is very long and Leverkusen still has the possibility to catch up.
And on the other hand Bayern must also be recognized that they have succeeded in developing this season with all the changes made but thus will make the competition for a much fiercer fight with Leverkusen and I think that will continue until the end of the season.
Leverkusen had an extraordinary performance and consistency last season, but after getting their first defeat to Leipzig in the second week of the Bundesliga as well as breaking their unbeaten record trend since last season, their performance at that time began to experience an imbalance although they were still unbeaten since their first defeat in the Bundesliga, I think their current performance has decreased a little compared to last season and we can see how they are have won 6 draws and 1 loss from the 20 matches they have played, but regardless of that, we still can't get rid of them from the title challenger team because so far the difference of 6 points from Munich is not too far a distance, especially if later they can maximize and win the match in week 22 when facing Munich which will automatically shorten the distance between the both teams in bundesliga standings.
That's right. Leverkusen last season was indeed difficult to stop, even Leverkusen was behind first but they often made a comeback. However, this season Leverkusen has lost its advantage because it was able to retain most of its best players but it did not show much improvement.

If they manage to beat Bayern Munich, not only will their points increase but their spirit and passion will rise again to defend the Bundesliga title this season. Moreover, Alanso this season is rumored to be his last season, of course he will give the best impression for Leverkusen.

I quite agree with you regarding the point gap, it's really small compare to what Leverkusen are playing because if Bayern Munich mistakenly lost any game that will ginger Leverkusen to put more effort but at the current level of Bayern Munich performance I don't think they want to leave any gap open for Leverkusen to enter. Bayern Munich have had a good performance since the starting of the season and I'm much confidence in their struggles after making numerous mistakes last season they don't want them to get a chance again. On 15th it going to be tough for both teams and that match will determine who to win the league, if Bayern Munich win it will make them comfortable on top but if it Leverkusen the six points reduce to three points and it will motivate them more and more.

Before the 2024/2025 season started, I said that maintaining the record achieved last season was more difficult when they achieved it. Now it's really happening, Leverkusen have dropped too many points and they are starting to fall 6 points behind Munich.
Apart from Leverkusen failing to maintain their best form, Munich performance is also starting to improve, Kompany will also not waste the opportunity to win his first trophy with Munich.

It's not that bad, but they had a tough time when they started the league so they got a lot of bad results in the matches they played. I think a 6 point gap is still enough for them to catch up considering the number of matches that are still quite a lot. Also they will still face Bayern Munich so that's one of the opportunities for them to close the gap by beating Bayern Munich.
They still have a chance, but if we talk about defending the title, defending will be much harder than winning the title.

This season seems like it's time for Harry Kane to lift the trophy for the first time, because if you look at Bayern Munich's performance this season, it is very good compared to Leverkusen who are often inconsistent. Moreover, after Bayern Munich face Bremen next week, the two teams will face each other the following week. Bayern Munich has the opportunity to widen the gap when the two teams face each other if they win against Leverkusen, that means their steps to win the trophy are wide open.

Kompany's squad is lucky before facing Leverkusen later they will face Celtic first in this champions league, this match on paper Bayern Munich will win the match easily and I think Kompany will rotate players to maintain player fitness before facing Leverkusen. Because the match against Leverkusen will be an important match to continue to widen the points gap with Leverkusen. I see Bayern Munich this season, it seems like Bayern Munich is still being trained by Nagelsmann, they have played well and consistently.

If we talk about Company and Nagelsmann, I prefer Nagelsmann's game system. Unfortunately, at that time Bayern did not have a reliable center forward, and Bayern management did not give him the opportunity to complete his duties in the Bundesliga and Champions League. Talking about the Bayern vs Bremen match, theoretically Bayern Munich should be able to complete its duties well. However, it seems that Kompany will rotate. Or, Kompany will not play his full core players. Moreover, if Munich takes an early lead, substitutions will be made to save the players' energy. This scenario applies when Bayern Munich visits Celtic's headquarters, there will be rotation or scoring as many goals as possible in the first half, then Kompany replaces his core players to save the players' energy. The match against Leverkusen is crucial, besides playing at the BayArena, Leverkusen has a chance to defeat the Bavarian team squad. At least, a draw is enough for Bayern Munich. However, of course that alone will not be enough, in other words they have to get full points. It's just that Leverkusen is one of the strong teams and it is not an easy match for Munich. but anyway Bayern Munich has players that can be relied on, one of them is Kane who is ambitious to win at least the Bundesliga trophy. anyway, the competition is still very exciting especially the match between the two teams later.

Since the first matchday, the competition in the Bundesliga & Ligue 1 has ended. Don't know if you're someone from around this field or not, but if so, you should already know the traditions of the two leagues I mentioned earlier. Only bad luck can keep Bayern Munich & PSG from getting their seasonal league title, they have everything, nothing can stop them, I would bet anyone that these two teams will win their respective leagues.

Bayern Munich are not depreciating in performance, a slow outcome from them does not limit their chances of winning the title, we see same like behaviors from teams on first position in most leagues, when it comes to playing bottom teams they always find it difficult to win the game even if they do it becomes an intense battle. Munich has been consistent for the title, Leverkusen are the one's trying to stabilize their play just to meet up with competing for the title, the gap isn't wide as much but it's a matter if Munich denies them the opportunity or for Leverkusen lessen the gap by losing serious games.

Underestimate- nothing

Leverkusen have tried there best and they are trying to keep up and Leverkusen even tried but Bayern is not given them any space and they are trying the best they could but Leverkusen does not want to give up they have shown commitment and there game with Hoffenheim surprised everyone and the pressure was actually much on Hoffenheim the way the goals were dropping one after the other I did not even expect them to have the chance of eve scoring one goal because Leverkusen have more goals even with there chances it was a great game just that there defense was to open.

And the one goal that was scored does not really have any impact but the fact that they scored made them feel better and even with Leverkusen red card they won the game, the red card was given around 61 minutes so there enough chances for them to actually equalize but Leverkusen seems to be to powerful for them everything just seems to be interesting during the game and I love the way Leverkusen have passion for fighting even if they have doubts of winning.
