They are the same team that every opponent has been destroying with goals, so I thought Leverkusen was going to revenge against Bochum for how Liverpool humiliated them in the Champions League match. However, when it was Leverkusen's turn to humiliate them, they failed. In their last five league games, Bochum has failed to draw; their last draw was against Holstein Kie. Everyone who put them on their bet slip would lose, so I was disappointed with the result. After all, they were unable to score more than two goals, and the match finished in a draw.

Xabi Alonso and his team should be aware that the Bundesliga title has already fallen away from them this season, as a team that is a contender for the title would not draw against a team that was promoted to the league this season. If Xabi Alonso fails to solve his team's errors, they will finish the season without winning a single trophy, and their next Champions League match is against Salzburg, where they expect to go back to their winning ways.

This is just a classic case of 'how the mighty has fallen'. Yes, there's the possibility of a bounce back but if they couldn't collect all three points from a weak club like Bochum, how confident can we be that they can do something with other more stubborn clubs?
All I know is this season would be difficult for Bayer Leverkusen and I guess they were just meant to taste that level of superiority only once which was last season and if they don't get back up, the same fans who sang Xabi Alonso's praises last season may well on call for his sack this time around..just saying.

I was one of those people, and too bad I was right yet again. Dortmund just is not competitive this season, plain and simple. As a long time BVB supporter it's sad to watch these performances, it actually hurts. 2 shots in 90 minutes is shameful. This is not bayern or any other top team they faced, this is Mainz. And yet here we are after basically the worst game of the year. Even the 1:5 in Stuttgart or 2:5 in Madrid looked much better than what they showe yesterday.
If they don't act fast in Dortmund everything about Europe is in serious jeopardy for next season.

I personally share same opinion with you that if Borussia Dortmund weren't reduced to 10 men in the first half of the game, they would've gotten a better result than losing at Mainz yesterday but because red card is part of football, it's very safe to say that the home team deserved their win.
It was a surprising result that left many people who staked on the game with regrets as majority went with the option of the away team to get a win or at least a draw but since we can't be very sure of the results of our predictions, we just have to accept the result.

The red card received by Borussia Dortmund was one of the factors that they had to accept defeat in this match, how could they not have played with 10 men since the 27th minute of the first half, it made the strategy they were going to implement not work and they had to implement another strategy because of the lack of players. Unfortunately, none of the matches I chose matched my predictions, all of them were disappointing, Leverkusen drew 1:1 against Bochum, Dortmund lost to Mainz with a score of 3:1, and Bayern Munich won but with a narrow score of 1:0. The results of last night's match were actually a surprise that we could not have predicted, especially Dortmund's crushing defeat, I think this defeat was caused by Dortmund losing 1 player due to a red card in the 27th minute which made Dortmund's defense chaotic and ultimately suffered the defeat.
