The first game after the break is not far away, and the first game we will see is the Leipzig vs Bayern Munich clash. Let's see how far they are prepared after this long break. This match will be held at the Red Bull Arena Leipzig, an advantage for the hosts because it is certain that they will have the full support of their supporters. Looking at the meeting record, Bayern Munich has the upper hand, but let's see what Leipzig can do in this match.

True, maybe that's one of the reasons Bayern Munich didn't trust Sven Ulrich in the friendly match. He conceded 4 goals and that's really bad if you have to entrust the rest of the season to him plus other European competitions, of course Bayern Munich doesn't want worries to always surround them in every game. which will be faced later.
and the decision taken by Munich later made it possible that one of the goalkeepers would be dropped from the squad. However, the Munich club has currently decided to prepare their squad for the competition which will be even busier. Sven Ulrich certainly needs a replacement or maybe both of them will share a place in the Munich squad if they have the same qualities. because as long as Neuer is injured, of course, it will not be easy for Munich to depend on the ability of just one goalkeeper. It has yet to be decided who will be in the main squad. both must compete first for the position of goalkeeper in Munich.

The German newspaper Kicker just predicted the line-ups for tomorrow's RB Leipzig - FC Bayern München game.

Yann Sommer is likely to replace Sven Ulreich, since he signed his contract today and is already at Säbener Straße.

quite surprising that Munich did not give more opportunities to their second goalkeeper Ulreich.

Not really to be honest.

And it also had nothing to do with Ulreich's last performance against Salzburg. FC Bayern is an absolute top club and then you can't go into the second half of the season with just a CL-level goalkeeper. Accordingly, it was pretty clear that FC Bayern would once again make a move on the transfer market and sign another goalkeeper. The fact that it has now become Yann Sommer makes sense on several levels. Manuel Neuer will be back at the end of the season and we will surely experience a strong competition for the position as Bayern goalkeeper next season.

Even though the price of 8 million euros sounds expensive, for a goalkeeper like Yann Sommer, in my opinion, it doesn't matter because he is indeed one of the best goalkeepers in the Bundesliga, at least until 2025 Bayern Munich's goal is still safe until they find a younger goalkeeper later. It's time for Manuel Neuer to hang up his boots starting this season, otherwise Bayern Munich will find it difficult to depend on Neuer if they continue to defend him or continue to make him the first team in the following season.

quite surprising that Munich did not give more opportunities to their second goalkeeper Ulreich. maybe the coach was not satisfied with his performance, especially during the friendly match against Salzburg which ended in a 4-4 draw.
the decision to bring in a new goalkeeper seemed to have to be made and that also threatened Neuer's position, who had to take a long recovery break.
Of course, Munich doesn't want to take too many risks. when Munich also had to participate in a fairly tight schedule of matches in all competitions. Munich certainly doesn't want to lose important matches in the Champions League by conceding a lot.

God is great
With much experience and good goal-keeping abilities, I don't know if age should even be a hindrance in giving Sommer a chance to help Bayern Munich. From time immemorial, aging goalkeepers are always exceptional in their careers even more that a footballer. I can say this often a time when I recall the likes of Buffon, Peter Czech, and Van dersah, they were all exceptional till retirement. I don't think Bayern should be discouraged at Sommer's age cuz they need him.
Unfortunately Bayern Munich is always looking for players at a young age, whereas if Sommer's age is over 30 years old, it is certain that Bayern Munich will not buy him. So far Bayern Munich has special characteristics, to make its players have special characteristics with a young age and very strong stamina so that it will make it difficult for opponents to beat.

Maybe because of the position a goalkeeper needs, young age and stamina are the next problem. Basically goalkeepers spend less stamina than other positions such as striker or midfielder.

After Neuer is confirmed absent, Bayern Munich need an experienced goalkeeper. Regardless of whether Sommer has sufficient experience or not, it is the final decision of the Bayern Munich management.
Age may be the factor Bayern Munich is considering from having a goal keeper, a younger goal keeper will have better strength and stamina to do is duty better. Bringing in an aged goalkeeper it may be a problem for the club. If it was another position Bayern Munich was looking for a player for I don't think age will matter a lot. It is important Bayern Munich search for a goalkeeper that can play better role in achieving victories for the club.

Mönchengladbach can consider itself lucky. The contract from Sommer would have ended at the end of this season anyway. Nobody knows whether they would have extended it or not. But Gladbach should have discussed it in any case. Now the decision was taken from them early and quickly. Gladbach expected and got a lot of money. Respect, considering that his contract only had half a year left.

It is part of the team's strategy and there is nothing wrong with continuing to implement it as long as it can have a very good impact on the team because the team's goal is to be very strong and be able to make it difficult for their opponents to beat them. So it is a very good thing for the Bayern Munich team to be able to continue to compete with other big teams in different competitions.
In as much as I agree with you that Bayern Munich has a strategy of not signing old players they go for younger players because of energy but one thing they do is that when the sign these young players they don't let them go even when they are old enough to go. Take for instance Lewandowski, Manuel Neuer, Thomas Muller. Even the time of Reuben and Ribbery they always keep them for long without releasing them and thereby making it difficult to have all young squad

Bayern Munich always plays a very attacking strategy. This is why they give more priority to young players in the formation of the squad. Young players are also less prone to injury. However, the Bayern Munich squad now lacks a consistent scorer after Lewandowski left the team. And so maybe Sommer is 30 now. Bayern Munich will not sign Sommer due to his age. However, Bayern Munich may be interested in signing Sommer if they are looking for a regular scorer.

Hmm i am not sure what you are trying to say here, but you are aware that Yann Sommer is a goalkeeper and not a striker right? Also yes Yann Sommer is not a young player anymore. In fact he is already 34 years old and not "only" 30 years like you said, but then again he is a goalkeeper and at that position players can usually play a few years longer at the highest levels than players on other positions. Also Bayern has signed Yann Sommer because they needed a replacement for Manuel Neuer which had a very unlucky and serious injury during his vacation. So in the end i think it is a good transfer for Bayern and for Sommer.

Bayern took Mane to the team, who is 30 years old, this is not a big age for a football player in modern football. Bayern have always adhered to the attacking model, but they have someone to score Sane, Mane, Gnabry, in addition, Muller is actively involved in attacks, so the departure of Lewandowski did not become critical for the team. By the way, Mane will miss the match with Leipzig, and Sane's participation is questionable, but I still think that both teams will score and there will be TO.
I agree with you that most likely the two teams that will compete, Leipzig and Bayern Munich will both score goals. On paper, Bayern Munich are superior, because they are indeed the most dominant team in the Bundesliga. I'm looking forward to the surprises that Leipzig will show in this match, and at the same time decide their negative results every time they meet Bayern Munich. They will get more motivation because this match will be held at their own headquarters.

Sommer is on his way to Munich, and I think 8 million euros for a 34 year old goalkeeper is a lot of money. He get a contract until 2025 and Ulreich is still only number two, which is very demotivating for him. On Friday there will be a top match and there should be many goals again. Manuel Neuer will watch from the outside after many years and plan the end of his career, he has won many titles.
I just have readed it now , and wow i havnt expected that after Gladbach said first no they dont give him to Bayern Munich away.
Would be not surprised if Ulreich try to get also a new Club after this season , guess he is not happy with that if he only is the number 2 again now.

As I posted before, that Nagelsmann needs a goalkeeper on the same level as Neuer. in the trial match, Sven Ulreich conceded 3 goals against Red Bull Salzburg, after that the third goalkeeper was given the opportunity to play, but J. Schenk finally conceded 1 goal and the match ended in a 4-4 draw. this match was a test match, but meant a lot for Nagelssman who was more focused on the goalkeeper.

Which in the end, Munich managed to bring Yann Sommer to Bavaria. the reason is, initially Gladbach did not want to let go of their main goalkeeper. however, because Yann Sommers insisted on leaving Gadbach. in the end, the Nagelmanns were able to get it. at least, they have solved the problem for the goalkeeper. Nagelsmann can focus more on other things while waiting for Sadio Mane's injury recovery.

I think that bayern has a different opinion about the goal keeper. When it comes to the goal keeper and it doesn't matter a lot how old he was as long as the keeper was not too old and he is still having a good reflect with the ball. It seems like that yann sommer has been reaching an agreement with bayern munchen. I hope that he will be coming to the bayern caused by his role will be very important for bayern to replace neuer temporarily. Bayern was very smart. The club was buying him with around 8 millions which is very cheap.
It's a very good movement by bayern after bayern was buying daley blind from the free transfer status.

It seems that the news that the signing of Yann Sommer's contract with Bayern Munich has been confirmed by journalist Fabrizio Romano and his contract will last until June 2025. At least this is a breath of fresh air for Bayern Munich, they don't need to worry after Neuer's injury and now there is a replacement.

Bayern are still very strong for a Bundesliga club and that is something that cannot be changed in recent seasons.
Leipzig could surprise Munich. although not the favorite, if Leipzig has a special strategy to kill the Munich attack line. maybe Leipzig has a big enough possibility to win.
Leipzig should have had enough experience when facing Munich in their previous meeting. if you want to beat Munich of course they have to do it with a harder effort.
It's true that something like that can still happen, but this is only a small possibility of Bayern winning in this match, isn't it.
This condition can only occur when there is strong luck for them. Even though in football everything can still really happen, but Leipzig winning in this match is the least likely that will happen and that is a fact. regardless of how they play out we cannot let go of that fact.

Well for me every team can surely show that they are improving and at some point even though Bayern Munich is an imminent threat they can surely show it for that certain level I think Bayern Munich is a good indicator of whether every team is improving or not and right now Wolfsburg has shown or it is shown that Wolfsburg really is something right now and against Hoffenheim with their new coach seems that is a shown improvement  for the Wolfsburg, right now Wolfsburg got a decent performance for sure,
I agree on that , playing against Bayern Munich is always a good measure where a Team is staying right now.
The problem and question with Wolfsburg and also other teams are , can they keep there performance for a long term and some time.

For me, Union Berlin seems just lucky for their winning at the beginning of the season, and in the latest games they are now having a hard time because teams now are getting their chemistry, momentum, and change of strategy for the new player's position, but for Wolfsburg, I think that is a legit improvement,
I guess at this time it was not only luck for Union Berlin as they showed a good performance against other Teams and in the Cups also.
Lets see if they come back stronger again in the second half of the season.

The thing is in the Bundesliga it is very hard for teams to actually show their improvement. Because the best team in Bundesliga, is Bayern Munich, they are always the one going to win in most cases. So even if a team does improve, it is quite hard for them to actually make a name and come to the spotlight because they are often unable to win the little.

Actually, it's not like the teams are not improving. The teams are actually improving. Union Berlin and Wolfsburg are good examples of teams that are improving. But again people think that this league has become boring just because Bayern Munich is winning the title, again and again, year after year.

I haven't seen any update on the Christopher Nkunku transfer for Chelsea these days. Is this deal going to be completed in the summer anyway?

Because Leipzig and Chelsea have reached an agreement as far as I know. But the transfer is still not official for this summer. I don't see it on Transfermarkt at least. I even started to think about whether they are still thinking of completing another move for the attacking line. But on the other hand Felix is going to be a temporary striker for them as it is only until this summer. They will still need another striker if they can't extend his loan contract. In that case I guess Nkunku transfer would be finalised.

I was really sad in seeing this news but surely if Christopher Nkunku wants to be out of Leipzig then he is freely out of the Bundesliga and Leipzig for good, and I think this is the ARTICLE that says Leipzig chief really confirms that have let Chelsea sign for Christopher Nkunku transfer and another ARTICLE that Chelsea have already sealed the deal of £63 Million to make the move done early this summer, I was really shocked and saddened that Leipzig will now be having a hardtime in getting up the standings without Nkunku,
