According to Sky, Bayern Munich have made a new offer for Sommer. 8 million euros plus 1 million euros for bonus payments. But Mönchengladbach is also said to have rejected this offer. I think Mönchengladbach will get Jonas Omlin and negotiate his transfer in the background.
The offer from Bayern is good enough in my opinion. Yann Sommer is a good goalkeeper and he shown it with his national team in some Euro and World Cup tournaments. However the goalkeeper is old and already 35 years old. He is only a temporary solution for Bayern so they will not want to pay too expensive cost to buy him from Mönchengladbach.It seems that if Bayern still wants Yann Sommer they still need to provide quite a large amount of money because Monchengladbach will obviously not be interested in such an offer, especially since they have said they will not issue Sommer in the current transfer.
At least the release clause might in the end be the difference there and of course this must be done in order to reach an agreement for both parties.

It is so clearly that he wants to join Bayern and maybe salary is not a barrier for the transfer and does not come from Yann Sommer. The only barrier to trigger the transfer is transfer cost. Mönchengladbach wants more but Bayern have reasons to not lift it up a lot.
