Congratulations on Leverkusen's victory, this is just the beginning of the season but they have shown an extraordinary performance like last season. I think this can be a reference for them to be more confident to start an extraordinary season and want to compete for the Bundesliga title with Bayern Munich again. I am sure Bayern Munich is currently worried about Leverkusen's preparation this season which will make it difficult for them.

Even though they were left behind and got a red card, it did not discourage the players at all, they seemed to continue fighting until the end and Xabi Alonso was always able to make his players appear impressive.

I think what happened in the last season was something very extraordinary. That was not a normal performance and I don’t think any team will be able to replicate that this season. Bayer Leverkusen is a strong team but so is Bayern Munich and Dortmund. Dortmund also has built a very strong team this season and also got a new coach.  Bayern Munich has also got a new coach and some new signings. I think this season of Bundesliga is going to be one of the best seasons of Bundesliga we have seen in a few years. Finally, we can see that Bayern Munich are facing some challenges. But I am also excited to see how the teams perform this season. Since Bayern Munich got a new coach, their performance might get very good or he might flop, same with Dortmund as well.

But I wonder if Bayer Leverkusen will be able to continue their monstrous run of the last season this season. But I think I need to mention VfB Stuttgart as well. They had beaten Bayern Munich in the table last season as well and stood 2nd. They will be playing UCL this year.

What Leverkusen did last season was really great and they went undefeated and secured the title so last season was very easy for them but the reality is that they will have to struggle a lot next season and whether they can win the Bundesliga title next season at all. There are many doubts. Bayern Munich and Dortmund could be the biggest obstacles for Leverkusen next season. These two teams are well aware of Leverkusen's tactics from last season and have spent a lot of time working on how to stop Leverkusen so it will be challenging for this team to improve on next season. Since this team has done well and has confidence in its own team, Leverkusen will not have much of a point gap with Bayern Munich and Dortmund.

It's crazy that Xabi's mentality was really tested in this match.
I actually thought when Leverkusen were outnumbered by a red card in the first 30 minutes it could have cost them the trophy because it's very difficult to make a difference when you're down a man. But it is indeed a well-honed mentality and we cannot forget that Leverkusen is one of the clubs specializing in crucial minutes that made them finally lift the trophy again by perfecting the previous 2 trophies they had brought last season.

This should be noticed by other clubs because it looks like the Xabi era still can't end quickly at Leverkusen and this could be the spirit of Leverkusen to make a good breakthrough again this season in the Bundesliga.

Those three team will definitely be the top contenders for the league title no doubt, but I see a more competitive first position between Bayern Leverkusen and Bayern Munich more than I see Dortmund in that position. They’ve shown a lot of courage last season but they were no where to be found in the league games but only in the champions league which they went as far as winning the champions league trophy. All three teams will be participating in the champions league which makes every team to be more serious this season in order to balance their performance in the two competitions. Bayern Munich will want a return of their trophy while Bayern Leverkusen will strive to defend the trophy again and dismiss the speculations that they won the trophy by luck. So also, Dortmund will fight to win the trophy for the first time in many years in their history.

That's assuming Leverkusen maintain their conditioning, I really want to believe that this wasn't a ‘one season player’ and that they will indeed continue to create competition further down the line. Bayern objectively didn't look their best last season, so now is the time for them to get better. Overall, I'm just glad that there is someone in the Bundesliga besides Borussia who can compete with Bayern

Munich is like an elite team in various European Leagues, they have healthy finances and a champion mentality in the Bundesliga. Last season Munich failed to defend their title, it is natural that they failed, after all for a decade Bayern Munich has always been the Bundesliga champion. I am sure that this season Bayern will try again to win the League, even though under the guidance of a coach who is not so experienced. However, it is important to remember, Bayern Munich's players are much more competitive than their rivals. Moreover, Bayern Munich's chances of returning to the top of the standings until the end of the season are wide open. In addition, Kompany has his own way to achieve chemistry with Bayern players. It is proven that he gave Muller the opportunity as a center forward in the DFB Pokal match, Joshua Kimmich was played back in his position. At least, he got support from the Bayern Munich players themselves. Thus, he only needs to formulate the system and strategy that he will implement. Stuttgart is also worth considering, they have managed to maintain their good performance until now, their recent defeat to Leverkusen in the German Super Cup can be attributed to a bit of bad luck. Meanwhile, Leverkusen is now more confident to face the new season, because they have again managed to increase the number of trophy collections.

We know that Bayern Munchen has made every effort to increase the depth of the squad, as has their other rival Dortmund. Therefore, Xabi Alonso will get more pressure, because in reality defending the trophy is more difficult than vice versa. The tight schedule of matches in the Champions League may affect their performance in the Bundesliga, the team that can perform consistently in every competition will be very lucky. In this case, Bayern Munchen is used to various pressures, as is Dortmund, in this case Leverkusen should be wary. Bayern Munich's low odds make no sense to me. They were very weak last season and are lucky to have qualified for the CL at all. They haven't brought in any particularly good players for the coming season who could make a big difference and Kompany as coach is certainly not an improvement (at least in my opinion). I think a bet against them makes perfect sense.

An awesome performance it has been for Leverkusen, here's a reason to be really tough with their confidence this season, starting off winning a trophy is a very good and ideal performance from Leverkusen, just maybe they could get a trio this season (lol) anyways congratulations to them on this victory and the trophy they have won. This for me is a whole lot as it regards their confidence boost and their psychology been at its best. Winning Stuttgart even with all of the challenges they had to face earlier is really a commendable performance I'm hopeful they keep up this way with the rest of the season.

This is WILD a Bundesliga season. Dortmund seems really hazardous as heck. They are striving for the title and have upfront firepower. Though the bookies are worried, Bayern's is still the preferred. Leverkusen is mixed in with Dortmund's down their necks breathing. Leverkusen, I'll say you shown tenacity against Stuttgart. Still, this is not a one-time occurrence. You have to bring that vigour every damned game. Dortmund is ravenous; Bayern's machine is different. There's going to be a carnage this season. Three teams, with one trophy.

IMO, the competition will most likely not happen again when Dortmund will try to become a strong challenger after Leverkusen. We all know why I say this because Dortmund managed to get a reliable striker owned by Stuttgart and of course the attack line is stronger and able to complicate the bundesliga title fight this season. So we don't only see Bayern Munich and Leverkusen but Dortmund will also give difficulties to the two teams who will continue to fight to get the top of the standings.

Bookmakers even favor Bayern Munich as the winner this season followed by Leverkusen and Dortmund. And also bookmakers favor Kane and Guirassy as the strongest candidates for the top scorer this season which gives a little sign that Leverkusen will also compete strongly with Dortmund.

Expectations are high because all know Bayern Munich is not at his best even we can expect things could be challenging for the title race but still Bayer Leverkusen is looking impressive no other team having depth to stand against them for the title race because it's never been easy even we have good preparation from the Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig for the title race but still Bayer Leverkusen is having good depth and their performance is also at the same level as we have in last season.

Underestimating Bayern Munich is surely big mistake because they are having good team, and they are also having good sources for bringing quick changes due to few bad decisions they are having bad time in last season, but now things could be at good level Bayer Leverkusen having good start with trophy, and now they will be tried their best for having few more into their wallet after one century wait.

Both teams have started the season quite well so far, Munich managed to win over ULM in the DFB Pokal, as well as Leverkusen who continued to show their toughness when playing against Stuttgart in the Super Cup final, Leverkusen again succeeded in adding to their trophy collection after Alonso coaching and now Alonso has presented three trophies to Leverkusen, namely the Bundesliga trophy, DfB Pokal and also the Super Cup and that is the best achievement compared to the previous coach who has handled Leverkusen so far.

The new season will start next week and of course we hope that there will be very competitive competition in the Bundesliga this season compared to the previous seasons, Leverkusen has succeeded in breaking Munich dominance which lasted almost 12 years in the Bundesliga last season and I hope if Bayern Munich this season will rise again so that way we will see a competitive Bundesliga from competition between Munich, Leverkusen, Dortmund, Stuttgart and even Leipzig later.

Unquestionably, the red card was a major turning point. But let the amazing battle Bayer Leverkusen displayed on public view not to overshadow anything. Most of the game they were down a man, yet they never gave up. From Schick in the last minutes, that equaliser? Simply grit, people. Raw grit.

Under a leader like Xabi Alonso, you develop the kind of will needed for this. He understands how to persuade his people to dig deeply; he has been in difficult circumstances before. Think back on those victories in the DFB Pokal and the Bundesliga. Like this. The man is a winner, and he has this team thinking they may also be successful.

I expect some rivalry between Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen in this season.
Yesterday match started well for Bayer Leverkusen but they were surprised by the performance of Stuttgart.
Stuttgart was able to score two goals and overtake them until the last minutes of the game when Leverkusen returned and won by penalties.
That match worries me about Leverkusen and how ready they are when they will start the season and face Bayern Munich.

Bayer Leverkusen and Stuttgart played out an exciting German Super Cup, kicking off the new season in impressive fashion. And the intellectual battles between them are becoming the most attractive "dish" in German football today. This is the era of coaches Xabi Alonso and Sebastian Hoeness, right?

Alonso won his third title with Leverkusen, after the Bundesliga and German Cup. The 42-year-old coach only missed out on one trophy this year, losing 0-3 to Atalanta in the Europa League final. In this match, Coach Alonso tested all three new players of Leverkusen: Aleix Garcia, Jeanuel Belocian, and Martin Terrier. After being behind, he brought out four "trump cards": Alex Grimaldo, Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz, and Patrik Schick. It can be seen that Alonso and his team still maintain their form and are still full of the spirit of the defending champions of last season.

But things will not be easy for coach Alonso and his team this season. In terms of stars and squad depth, Dortmund and Bayern Munich still have the advantage over Leverkusen. Not only that, they also continuously improve the squad by replacing new coaches and a series of new players to regain their rightful position.

The German Super Cup winner is a good start for the mentality of Leverkusen's players.  Even though it was through penalties, Stuttgart is a good team. Stuttgart is almost the same as Leverkusen. If not, I feel, Munich is ready to return to win next season. Munich's transfer policy has taken on a new color, although I have doubts about Kompany.

For Leverkusen, they did not bring in many star players. As for Dortmund, they also have several transfers of young players. It seems quite promising, but it looks like Dortmund still has the same pattern. They buy young players to prepare as new star players who are ready to be sold.

I agree about this Real Madrid and Xabi Alonso connection are going to be work, but this will be happened after end of the Carlos Ancelotti era which is going to end after end of the season 2026 most chances until then we will be having Xabi Alonso here at the Bayer Leverkusen.

No one having any doubt about Bayern Munich as they are one of the best side in Bundesliga they were having some troubling time, but now things are getting better hopefully we will have them in good shape even chances for win of title are not good but still we can expect them at their best for me, we will have good chances for title race Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig with Bayern Munich is always in this list without any problem.

Trust me , Real Madrid will coming for get Xabi Alonso at some stage for the coach position when its time for.
Also there are for sure some more teams that want to get the title and win the league , Dortmund , Stuttgart , Leipzig and maybe we see some surprise team.
Bayern Munich always is in the position for getting one of the favorite but things have changed and for the viewers that is a great thing.
