I'm very concerned about Bayer Leverkusen and whether they will be able to repeat their success from last season. Bayer Leverkusen will face different challenges than they did last season because every club has gathered more players to win the league title. Bayer Leverkusen still has the same attacking players that they used last season, and Xabi Alonso only bought defenders and midfielders, not attackers. So, compared to the players Bayern Munich signed during the transfer window, do you think Bayer Leverkusen will repeat what they did last season? No need to compare it to the Champions League, the Bundesliga will be very different this season, and I'd be surprised if Xabi Alonso gets the same results as last season.
I don’t think Bayer Leverkusen will have chance to repeat such victories they had last season because Bayern Munich is now ready as they have signed new coach and some good players as well to help the team. Moreover, I can see that Leverkusen didn’t make some changes in their squad and their pattern of play has already been noticed by almost all the teams in the league which will make it difficult for them to win the League unbeaten or even win the League because they have several competitions including Champions league which is very tough and for Alonso to be their for the first time, it will be a bit hard for him because he will be facing big teams in the tournament.

The game of soccer is unpredictable and as it is, anything is possible to occur, before we say Bayern is ready we should watch them play first in the new season, we won't start now to give credence when the jungle has not mature yet, Leverkusen showed a high level of good performance last season and the can still do it again if they continue in such form.
We should know that sometimes when a manager is new in a team it takes time for the entire team to blend with his coaching pattern and this may cause lapses in the team, despite that bayern has signed a new manager and ready to bring more good players in the team, it is still possible that they may not perform well if the existing and incoming players are not managed very well.
When you say Leverkusen pattern has been notice by other teams, this might be true but a good manager can introduce new strategy and pattern since he already knows that if he continues with the former strategy he might not get it right, Leverkusen had all these competitions last season and they were successful, what makes you feel that they won't do the same now, I think the major thing I feel they need to do is to get their team together and restrategize for this coming season, for now it is too early to determines what will likely be the fate of Leverkusen in this new season because bundesliga is not much competive to me, if they are, bayern would have not been champions for very long, so i Believe that Leverkusen can still do it.

Before I put in my bet, I want to read other people's opinions here or give me a little advice.
Actually I'm a little doubtful about Leverkusen even though Mönchengladbach is not a strong club but this club cannot be underestimated and has held a draw in several previous meetings.
On the other hand, I'm not too sure in this new season whether Xabi Alonso can still give his best for his club to maintain the consistency of the players.
I have a plan to bet on Leverkusen's victory but are there other more comfortable options?

Yesterday there was already the last friendly game from Dortmund against Aston Villa and they won that with 2 scored Goals.

A good result from a Pre-season match from dortmund. Though they made only two goal attempts, but it's all good. The first half from dortmund is impressing me a lot, it's because  their pressing in the first half was fun to watch. It's also very interesting to see how Bensebaini tried to prove himself in this game. Also, i was focusing on how Reyna did it well in this game, though he can be so much more than it, but it's all good for him. The result from this game makes me very optimistic for how we can play with more time under Nuri. Basically, i was only seeing many positive things from the game against Villa.
That match was planned in Signal Iduna Park and we saw good match. Borussia Dortmund team played well in this match and they were favorite for this match  when they did 2 goals in the start of match . They attacked in the start of match and they were fully prepared for this match . After that Aston Villa F.C. team played defensive and I think they should attack on Borussia Dortmund and also they should defend. But that team could not end up the match with respect and they have to face the lose.  Aston Villa F.C. team performance was very low and we didn't see current in the players of Aston Villa F.C. team and the end result of this match was 2-0.

Of the 5 matches between the two, Bayer Leverkusen won 2 times, and drew 3 times.

We see more goals between these teams when it is a cup game. I think this is likely to be one of those games even though it is only the beginning of the season. Over 3.5 goals and maybe even 4.5 goals are quite possible to be seen in my opinion.  Smiley  Both teams are productive. Stuttgart doesn't have Guirassy anymore maybe but like I said, the new transfers for the attacking line are also very solid.

I can't wait to watch Xabi Alonso's team for another whole year.  Roll Eyes  After a dream season, everyone is probably curious what he will do next. He has increased the expectation level to top naturally.

The situation in Bayern Munich team last season proved that something was lacking in the team despite the signing of Harry Kane so if they try to do a good job in the transfer market as they have always done it will help to transform the performance of the team and it will help them to move back to the top level where they will find it easy to challenge Bayer Leverkusen and reclaim the top spot from them. Yes I agree that the Bayern Munich team had an unsuccessful season last season as they failed to lift a trophy after making notable signing but they have a great team right now and a new young manager who is expected to make a different this new season so hopefully they will eventually win the domestic league and get better in 5hr other competitions with the quality they have got so far.

Changing coaches will change everything, in a football team the most important thing is the coach's tactics and that has been done by Bayern Munich to change their team's performance next season.
And what must also be realized is that this season everything is different from what happened last season, we can see the development of other Bundesliga teams, especially Leverkusen who managed to break Bayern Munich's dominance to win the Bundesliga title, making the competition in the Bundesliga much fiercer, and not only Leverkusen but also several other teams have had quite drastic performance developments that make it not as easy as before for Bayern Munich to win the Bundesliga title.

So for next season I think anything is possible for Bayern Munich, and what is certain is that they will not easily win the Bundesliga title and even the percentage for that is not that big.

Anyway, regarding Leverkusen and Bayern Munich, before the transfer window closes, it seems they have to make a decision soon regarding the player involving both teams, Jonathan Tah.

Leverkusen's center back is still adamant about moving to Bayern Munich. And de Ligt's departure makes the way smoother. But, will Leverkusen let it go?

Now this is where the monopoly of Bayern Munich In the Bundesliga comes to play, although the word monopoly might be too heavy on this case but that’s how feel it’s, Jonathan Tah as been an ever present in this Bayer Leverkusen squad and with the team having a new direction now I expect people Like him to be the main men to take the club back to glory fully and also maintain that standard, He is also the vice captain behind Lukas Hiredecky. This decision somehow doesn’t surprise me because Bayern Munich is still the biggest club and it’s the dream of every player most especially Germans to actually play for them, now is even the more reason why players like Marco Reus needs to be idolized by what they did
That’s actually what the bigger teams does they use the influence of being the biggest team and since it’s every player’s dream to play for such teams it’s always easier to sign the best players from other teams just as they did with signing Lewandowski and many other players. This has been how Bayern Munich has been able to stay ahead of all other teams in the league, they win trophies both domestic and European trophies, they have more improved salary structure among other things which lure players to join them.

I think Jonathan Tah might consider joining them knowing they are the best team and with them he has more chances of winning more trophies and earning a name for himself.

Bayern Munich always poach top players from other clubs to weaken the competition, they can easily win trophies if the strength of their rivals is successfully weakened. Bayern Munich always uses a similar strategy when there is another team that is considered their toughest rival, they also made an offer for Xabi Alonso to replace Tuchel, but they failed to poach Alonso from Leverkusen. The chances of Bayern Munich winning back the Bundesliga trophy are very slim as Leverkusen is still their toughest rival.
Although the situation is true, I don't believe it will have an impact when the competition is running. Bayern Munich every season is always identical with the transfer of good players at a high price. Last season H. Kane. This season who? and what we have to know, last season's experience itself justifies what I said that in the competition to win the championship trophy, what Bayern Munich management did was unsuccessful because they lost to Leverkusen. This season we also can't be sure that they will be able to win the Bundesliga trophy because the Bundesliga will only start or will only start on the 24th.

The Bundesliga may be the only top European league that will start its season late, but most of the German teams are playing in a different competition, the DFB Pokal. Last night, Vincent Kompany's squad won a landslide victory against SSV Ulm with a score of 0-4 without reply.

In this match, Bayern Munich appeared so fierce where they had taken an early lead in the early minutes through two quick goals scored by Thomas Muller. His goal-scoring instinct is still quite sharp despite his increasing age and if I'm not mistaken, this will be his last season to defend Bayern Munich. In addition, Kingsley Coman and Harry Kane also scored the closing goals that made Bayern Munich secure their victory and advance to the next round. At least this is a warm-up match before they aim for the first point in the Bundesliga next week and I think Bayern Munich can be relied on quite a bit this time.

I think only Marco Reus and no one else will reject the offer from Bayern Munich and continue to play in another team in the Bundesliga, especially German players who play in the Bundesliga as if they think the peak of their career is playing in Bayern Munich, that's because Bayern Munich is the most shining team in the Bundesliga.

And now everything is different, Bayern Munich can no longer be easy in the Bundesliga, the proof is last season they failed to defend the Bundesliga title because several other teams have developed and that is also possible to continue to happen next season and I think it's better for the Bundesliga to be more competitive.
Bayern Munich status is exactly the same as PSG in Ligue 1, players are racing to move there for one reason, they are easier to win trophies than the clubs they have played for before. The end of Bayern Munich dominance last season gave a glimmer of hope to other clubs, they can bring in quality players from other leagues to improve their quality to win the Bundesliga trophy. Leverkusen's success last season indicates that it is not always possible for Bayern Munich to win trophies, as long as there is competitive competition and the team is able to maintain its best performance, the possibility of winning trophies is very large.

To win the trophy again does not have to repeat it in the same way, Leverkusen does not have to set the standard to be undefeated throughout the season, that is too heavy for the players and for Xabi Alonso himself.
Indeed, in football, there is no perfect standard every year. Their focus is to achieve the target. And Leverkusen's target is to maintain the Bundesliga title to remain with them. Xabi's work becomes more and certainly harder this season. Because Leverksuen will also compete with top European clubs in the UCL, which is a very tight competition.
Playing in the Champions League will make Leverkusen's path to winning the Bundesliga title even more difficult because they will have to divide their focus on both equally important competitions unlike last season where they only played in the Europa League where the obstacles were not as difficult as now, but I think my prediction about Leverkusen is that they cannot go further in the Champions League I mean not to the final or semifinals because to achieve that they have to face tougher top clubs such as Man City, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Arsenal.

I totally agree with you. Leverkusen qualified for the Champions League. And if Xabi Alonso wants to dominate the Champions League and Bundesliga at the same time, it will put extra pressure on the players. Because every team that qualified for the Champions League is strong. And it is very difficult to perform well against these teams. At the same time, the chances of players getting injured will increase due to the busy schedule. As a result, it will be difficult for Leverkusen to perform well in the Bundesliga.

However, Leverkusen's coach Xabi Alonso is quite experienced. Last season, Alonso led Leverkusen to an unbeaten Bundesliga title. He is certainly aware of the strength of his squad. But I think Xabi's main target will be to dominate the Bundesliga. Because Xabi Alonso knows very well that he does not have a squad strong enough to win the Champions League title.

This is quite a difficult decision for Leverkusen on the one hand they still want to keep their players from last season but on the other hand the player seems not to want to stay and this will affect his performance this season if he forces himself to still play at the club so I think it is better for Leverkusen to let him go even though it is difficult.

Apart from Bayer Leverkusen who are still very likely to be on the race to the title next season, but I also very much looking forward to Dortmund seems to be better with Guirassy in the Dortmund attack next season. Because after all, Guirassy also performed very impressively last season and managed to make Stuttgart finish in second place, and Guirassy became the top scorer for Stuttgart last season.

Thus, I personally believe the competition for the Bundesliga trophy next season will be very competitive, because besides Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen, of course there are still other teams including Dortmund. Because after all, Dortmund also had difficulties last season to be able to finish in the Champion League zone. But with the great efforts made by Dortmund,  then in the end Dortmund still managed to get a Champion League ticket for next season it will still be great for them.
Bayer Leverkusen really displayed last season what they are capable of. They have the tenacity, the skill, and the ability to fundamentally alter events.
Then there are clubs like Sahin's, which are engaging in some fascinating transfer market activity. Their might be the season's dark horse. Never know.
Bayern Leverkusen's success in the Bundesliga last season without defeat will be difficult to repeat, I doubt it will happen, but if we talk about becoming champions, they have a chance to do it, Xabi Alonsso has prepared his team very well this season.
Bayer Leverkusen going for another unbeatable season record isn't going to be an easy one but their chances of lifting the trophy back to back is still on the high side with Xabi Alonso still as their manager. Especially now that Bayern Munich who the very team have a tight competition with them has a new manager in place which I don't see the possibility of Bayer Munich up this season.
Yes, I said, it will be difficult or in other words impossible to repeat the unbeaten record this season, but the chance to become champions is very big, the percentage shown by Leverkusen to be able to win the trophy is indeed high, but one thing to remember in the world of football, there are always surprises, Bayern Munich is not a club that was just formed yesterday in the sense that they consistently build teams and strategies from each season, it is still too early to doubt Munich in the fight for the Bundesliga title, if you look at the records of the giant clubs in the German league. Bayern Leverkusen, Munich, and Dormunt, have a very good chance, therefore we must first see their game in the Bundesliga which will start soon, to be able to predict which club will consistently collect points

Yeah man, I totally get what you're saying about Bayer Leverkusen and Dortmund in the Bundesliga race next season. It's gonna be a tough competition for sure. Leverkusen really showed their skills last season and they might have a shot at the title again this year with Xabi Alonsso leading the team.

But hey, let's not forget about Dortmund with Guirassy in their attack. They've been making some moves in the transfer market and they could be the dark horse of the season, you never know.

I agree that it's gonna be hard for Leverkusen to go unbeaten again, but they still have a good chance at lifting that trophy. And yeah, Bayern Munich is always a strong contender, so we can't count them out either.

I agree. Bayern Munich is so strong in Bundesliga that it is like monopoly. Top players want to join them leaving other teams to use their current players. Jonathan Tah is key player and leader at Bayer Leverkusen and he can help team succeed again. It is no surprise players want to join Bayern Munich but we should praise players like Marco Reus who stay loyal to their teams like Borussia Dortmund. They deserve credit for their hard work and dedication to their teams and football.

I have reviewed how this transfer could work and indeed Jonathan Tah really wants to join Bayern Munich. But what underlies his difficult move is still unknown, even though Bayern Munich has prepared a large fund to be able to contract him. However, if this transfer is still tense, it will worsen the atmosphere between Leverkusen and the player.
And of course it is still controversial, both between clubs, players, and management. Negotiations are still ongoing and there has been no meeting point that benefits both. They are each being chased by targets because the transfer market is no longer over.

In tomorrow's match, Leverkusen will face Stuttgart in the DFL super cup final.
This will be an exciting match to watch. There are some lineup changes in both clubs. However, looking at the statistics and H2H so far, Leverkusen should have a higher chance of winning.

There are big doubts looming over us at the moment to see Leverkusen to being able to repeat their success last season, because from the experience so far we have rarely seen a surprise team that was able to win the championship trophy one season and they were able to defend it in the following season, currently Leverkusen has brought in several new players without selling their players so we can say that their squad will probably be better than last season, but we cannot deny that last season they didn't get a lot of pressure from teams like Dortmund and Munich which experienced a decline performance, so apart from their ability to win, of course the poor performance of Munich and Dortmund was one of the factors that made Leverkusen champion.

Next season, Leverkusen will probably still be able to compete in the championship, but they won't be able to get it, let alone repeat their success without being defeated, of course, this will be impossible considering that currently Dortmund and Bayern Munich have strong ambitions and support to dominate the Bundesliga again, but on the other hand Of course next season will be proof and also break the doubts of many people who think that last season Alonso was just lucky.

Look at the results achieved by Leverkusen in the pre-season match where they were beaten by a big score by Arsenal. Even though it was just a friendly match and it didn't have any impact on them, I don't think their journey this season will be as good as last season when they managed to maintain their run without being defeated.
In tomorrow's match, Leverkusen will face Stuttgart in the DFL super cup final.
Even though Xabi Alonso's squad is still very much the favorite to become champion, everything will not be easy because VFB will provide a lot of resistance before they start official matches in the Bundesliga.
I want to see how consistent they are in achieving their targets this season so tomorrow's game will provide the answer.

Leo is resting.
I'm very concerned about Bayer Leverkusen and whether they will be able to repeat their success from last season.
Bayer Leverkusen still has the same attacking players that they used last season, and Xabi Alonso only bought defenders and midfielders, not attackers.
do you think Bayer Leverkusen will repeat what they did last season?
To be honest with you, I had similar thoughts about Bayer Leverkusen on numerous occasions in recent weeks but in my conclusion, I think it's now more difficult to achieve everything they achieved last season than it was when they conquered Germany. Watching Bayer Leverkusen win the German Bundesliga in the most entertaining fashion last season was very pleasing to watch and made the German league more interesting than it's been in over two decades now. Their major competitor this season if you ask me is Bayern Munich and I doubt Bayern Munich will allow Leverkusen win the league again this season.

I think Bayer Leverkusen still has what it takes to be the Champions of Germany next season if they are ready to focus more on winning every match like they did last season and playing against every team in the league as it they depend on the point to win the league title.

Looking at the achievement of Bayer Leverkusen last season they made history by winning the league title with an unbeaten run but they will have to face a more difficult opponent who is the Bayern Munich team but since the Bayern Munich team started the league with a new manager, the Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso should be able to have a good opportunity to defeat the Bayern Munich before they will get use to his perfect selection in the team.

That's the most common style of business from Dortmund, isn't it? Dortmund has a great base of scouts, they always find proper talents and sign them. Then they grow them, and I think the Bundesliga really is an amazing league for youngsters to grow. It is not as competitive as the Prem, not as physical as the Serie A, not as easy as Ligue 1. It makes the young players grow.
I also imagine it like that because the image of the Bundesliga is actually quite complex if it is aimed at young players recruited by each scout and that is still really attached to the Dortmund team itself. So it is not surprising when the team is able to find ordinary players and develop them into extraordinary players to bring more money to them because young players who have talent will always be valued very highly by any team. But on the one hand I also want to see Dortmund compete at the top of the Bundesliga to make the Bundesliga even more interesting this season.

That is every clubs dream and I am sure Dortmund will also be preparing for the next season in order to be a major league contender alongside Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich. The Bundesliga teams are already coming up after the success of Bayern Leverkusen last season and so, I expect more teams to be very interested in trying out their best. Dortmund have always been the second best team in the Bundesliga and they are just playing not to win the Bundesliga but also the champions league. They went far in the champions league last season, so I expect more from them this season. With the many young players signed into Dortmund, if they’re as great as they saw and sign them, they should be able to win something from it.
