Leverkusen have won the German Super Cup and it was hell of a work honestly.    Because they got a red card in the first half but this still didn't stop them. Even though Stuttgart got ahead, they came back and won by penalties. Xabi Alonso is continuing on his magical run. Starting the season with trophy must be feeling superb for the whole team and the fans.

It is good to see that the same spirit exists among the players. Maybe another unbeaten run is about to start...  

Leverkusen did performed below expectations but then the season just started, I know we all wanted more from them, expectations are already pulled up around them but they are starting foo by slowing down our expectations maybe that could ease some pressures for them to continue in the best form the can already but in the mean time, they have a point to start with a d are unbeaten (lol). There was a time I did mentioned that there's a possibility Leverkusen can still retain the trophy this season but it won't come with them dominating the league and may also not come with another unbeaten run so let's lower expectations, I believe today has made that insight clearer than it has been before now.

Leverkusen is clearly one of the strong candidates in the trophy race, Bayern Munich must try extra hard if they want to take the trophy from the defending champions and dominate the Bundesliga again. We realize that this effort will not be easy, where Leverkusen did not make many changes in their squad, Xabi Alonso even managed to add depth to the squad and retain a number of his mainstay players. This is a tough challenge for Kompany in his first season, if he fails, his fate could end with dismissal. Bayern Munich management has poured a large budget in the summer transfer window, clearly they expect success at the end of the season.

In fact, we have never seen Leverkusen start a new season with a mission to defend the trophy, that is a new history in their journey in the Bundesliga. Xabi Alonso must be aware of the improvements that will occur with Kompany squad, as well as other possibilities, such as the rise of Dortmund. Meanwhile, it is possible that the Bundesliga trophy will be won by other dark horse teams such as Stuttgart or Leipzig. It must be admitted that Kompany does have the most ideal squad in the Bundesliga, but that is not a guarantee of achieving success.

A Leverkusen and Bayern match would be nice this season but we have to wait until week 5 (end of September) and before that happens Leverkusen still have some other big games like against Leipzig which they do face in week 2.



We still have to wait and see if the start of the season is going well or not because that can be a consideration later on where when the big games happen then whether it will match our expectations or not.

Leverkusen are currently facing Stutgart in the DFL Super Cup and given their goal deficit and red card disadvantage it looks like it could be their first defeat in an official competition this early in the season.

Leverkusen is not able to perform well against Stuttgart in the German Super Cup final today. Last season Leverkusen won the title. But Stuttgart's progress caught everyone's eye. Stuttgart's players had a great performance last season. and occupied the second place in the table.

Stuttgart to play well in today's match. Stuttgart players are giving full effort to win the match. Stuttgart is dominating from the first half of the match. Although Leverkusen scored the first goal of the match, Stuttgart equalized in just 4 minutes. However, Leverkusen's overall gameplay has slowed down a bit after Leverkusen's forward Terrier received a red card in the 37th minute. Stuttgart now lead 2-1 after 70 minutes. Since Leverkusen is playing with 10 players now, it is much more difficult for Leverkusen to make a comeback in this match. Stuttgart is more likely to win.

The fact that they are looking very good at their friendly games is a big deal, because we are talking about a big win there and because of that I honestly think that they are going to be doing very well during the league as well. They have their dfk pokal game now and I think they are not going to have a big upset. I know that type of thing sometimes happens, like how even Bayern lost to some team from very low divisions last season, but the expected result is different and I think we should be seeing Dortmund beating this unknown team easily.

What we need to remember is that cost of being this good is that you can't afford to be bad, because if you are bad then you are going to be losing some players and not making enough money. Dortmund needs to go as further as they can at the cup, and I believe finish as high as possible at league too in order to be able to sell their players for higher prices which is how they make their money and stay consistent.

Soccer loyalty is great, and Marco Reus staying with his club when Bayern comes knocking is huge. Bayern is a possibility, and winning titles attracts players. Still, Bundesliga changes. Bayern had several challenges last season. Their tactic of cherry-picking top players from other teams may not work anymore. Smarter teams are importing great European players to enhance their lineups. This makes the Bundesliga more exciting.

A player like Reus staying put makes a message. He believes in his club, colleagues, and the Bundesliga's future. Trust me - that loyalty is priceless. It gives clubs personality, makes them competitive, and adds intrigue to the competition. The Bundesliga is becoming a league of surprises, which serves fans and the game. Marco Reus and all the players who chose loyalty over easy wins deserve praise.

The Phönix Lübeck vs Dortmund match is over now and the result of this match is 1-4 goal difference. Where Dortmund managed to win the match brilliantly, however as the team is currently playing well we definitely think they will do well at the start of the season. If Dortmund's coach leads the team in a responsible manner then surely they can occupy a good position in their new season. Dortmund is a strong team for which they played well and beat Phönix Lübeck in today's match.

Bayer Leverkusen don't have any star players, but because of their great success last season, then the players in the Bayer Leverkusen squad are certainly stars. They improved their quality with excellent hard work,  so the results were also not disappointing for them last season. Although the new season will start at least a week ahead, but I believe Bayer Leverkusen will still be a strong team that will be in the race for the Bundesliga trophy next season.

Indeed, Bayern Munich have at least better players because Bayern Munich have great players and star players that they brought in. But anyway, the appointment of their new coach is also still at least a question mark and perhaps a gamble. Thus,  I personally still cannot predict whether Bayern Munich will manage to have a good dominance or not in the next season with their new coach.

I am not sure about giving Vincent Kompany to manage a big club like Bayern Munich. I mean everybody already knows Bayern Munich is a big club and if you don’t win games and don’t stay at the top of the league and dominate the league, you might get sacked. Say what you want, but I believe Thomas Tuchel did a very good job last season managing the Die Roten squad. I know he finished 3rd with the club, but the thing is if you check the previous season, He earned more points than the previous season. As for the Uefa Champions League, he did a very well job and lost against Real Madrid who were the champions later.

I think Tuchel should have got another chance. As for Vincent Kompany, I am not too sure. He can do very well or he might flop. He has already started making changes in the Bayern Munich squad so, let’s see, what happens next.

At least we must first see their performance in the first 4 matches in the Bundesliga before they actually meet in the 5th week of the Bundesliga this season. I think there will be changes from our predictions when we see how they perform this season. After all, their performance this season will greatly determine how our predictions are and will even affect the results of the match.

From their 2 meetings in the Bundesliga last season, in the first round they drew and in the second round of the league Leverkusen was able to win with a fairly convincing score, that's if we look at their last meeting. However, that cannot guarantee that it will happen again, because Bayern Munich will also try to win this match. They will not want to be embarrassed in this meeting by the club that last season managed to overthrow the Bundesliga title that they have controlled so far.

I have no doubt over Leverkusen winning of Bayern Munich on this very match day, A lot of things with the team is still very intact , and the fact that Kompany is new to the league makes it even more challenging for Bayern to defeat Leverkusen in this game, secondly Bayern Leverkusen performance today at the DFL Super Cup will further provide more information as regards to the state of their form this incoming season.

Bayern Leverkusen played well last season after winning Bundesliga, DFB Pokal and reach the final stage on UEFA Europe League although have defeated from Atalanta. I think Xabi Alonso have good tactician after success winning two trophies from Bundesliga and DFB Pokal Cup and seems in this season will play well indeed participants on higher level competition at UEFA Champion League.
Bayern Leverkusen keep favorable team for winning Bundesliga trophy in this season after some top players signing and not difference drastically between main or substitutes players, its important thing exactly with Champion League adopt new format and have many matches than old format but Bayern Leverkusen squad keep balance.

Almost 100% old squad last season keep defend make Xabi Alonso easily adapting his tactician, for several news players I don't think difficult for adapting because most of them have been training more than one month and not get problem how game play from Bayern Leverkusen.

The Bundesliga match will be played in another week and unlike other leagues which have now started, and the match between Gladbach vs Leverkusen will be the opening match on August 24, so far the defending champions( leverkusen) have very big ambitions to be able to maintain their status as bundesliga championship and of course they will give all their abilities in the first match to win, before the first Bundesliga match starts, currently several teams are preparing their squads for the first round match of the DFB Pokal and so far Bayern Munich still performed quite well by beating ULM, which is a team in the 2nd division of the Bundesliga.

Meanwhile, Leverkusen, who were champions last season, had to face Stuttgart, who were runners up last season in the Super Cup, so I think Leverkusen certainly hasn't thought about the match against Bayern Munich, which is still very far away. Talking about the match between Bayern Munich vs Leverkusen in the fifth week, of course it will present an exciting match, previously, perhaps we would have thought that the match between Munich and Leverkusen was just an ordinary match, but after what happened last season, now we are starting to consider the meeting of the two teams to be no different with big match.

I also think that Leverkusen will not have enough difficulty to face Bayern Munich with a newer team line-up because the coach of Bayern Munich himself is a new coach and Leverkusen is still handled by their old coach like last season. But apart from all that, I just want to see both teams compete more fiercely to show who is the best for this season because their match must be awaited by many people from now on. And Bayern Munich might not be able to take revenge in an easy way because Leverkusen’s strength itself is still unchanged for this season.

Leverkusen against Bayern Munich is goning to be defently the most insteartted ghame to wach for us. Leverkusen had an amazing performance in the last season and they got good results which made Leverkusen win the Bundesliga title while they didn't spend too much money like Bayern Munich and they didn't have superstar players.
Now Bayern Munich wants to take revenge but since they are going to have a new team, I think Leverkusen can have more chance to win this match.

 

Last season Leverkusen also put their focus on two different competitions even though Leverkusen was only able to win the Bundesliga and not the Europa League. And for this season it will actually be the same even though the competition is starting to be a little different because it is the Champions League which is very competitive for any team. But I am still quite sure that Leverkusen is able to have a better focus and can even be considered a candidate for champions this season in the Bundesliga again.

The game of soccer is unpredictable and as it is, anything is possible to occur, before we say Bayern is ready we should watch them play first in the new season, we won't start now to give credence when the jungle has not mature yet, Leverkusen showed a high level of good performance last season and the can still do it again if they continue in such form.
We should know that sometimes when a manager is new in a team it takes time for the entire team to blend with his coaching pattern and this may cause lapses in the team, despite that bayern has signed a new manager and ready to bring more good players in the team, it is still possible that they may not perform well if the existing and incoming players are not managed very well.
When you say Leverkusen pattern has been notice by other teams, this might be true but a good manager can introduce new strategy and pattern since he already knows that if he continues with the former strategy he might not get it right, Leverkusen had all these competitions last season and they were successful, what makes you feel that they won't do the same now, I think the major thing I feel they need to do is to get their team together and restrategize for this coming season, for now it is too early to determines what will likely be the fate of Leverkusen in this new season because bundesliga is not much competive to me, if they are, bayern would have not been champions for very long, so i Believe that Leverkusen can still do it.

Before I put in my bet, I want to read other people's opinions here or give me a little advice.
Actually I'm a little doubtful about Leverkusen even though Mönchengladbach is not a strong club but this club cannot be underestimated and has held a draw in several previous meetings.
On the other hand, I'm not too sure in this new season whether Xabi Alonso can still give his best for his club to maintain the consistency of the players.
I have a plan to bet on Leverkusen's victory but are there other more comfortable options?
