Two days to go until the grand final. The Weserstadion at Bremen saw many miracles in the past and maybe we will see another one on Saturday. For this to happen, Bremen will most likely have to win by big margin against Cologne:

If Düsseldorf loses at Berlin, any home win will do the trick for Bremen. If Düsseldorf wins at Berlin, Bremen can do whatever they want. If Düsseldorf draws at Berlin, then Bremen can only catch up and overtake them, if they work a bit on their goal differential - they would have to win by a minimum of four goals against Cologne. Bremen has had a poor season and imo they will throw everything they have at Cologne to do their homework and then pray for Berlin to take points.

Cologne and Düsseldorf are rivals (not only when it comes to football) and they wouldn't shed a tear, if Düsseldorf goes back to 2. Bundesliga. I expect them to not show big effort to avoid losing big time.

Rashica is still questionable for Bremen; would help a lot, if he was available.

I will play Bremen HC-3 for odds around 9-ish. Over bets and Werder team totals are good as well imo, but maybe better for inplay. Unless Berlin has a safe lead against Düsseldorf, Bremen will relentlessly attack and they are capable of scoring a lot, they have the personnel for it. Even if Düsseldorf leads like 1-0 at Berlin and Bremen is only at 2-0, they won't stop pushing for goals, because Berlin can equalize at any time.

Dortmund is the biggest competitor for Bayern in Bundesliga in the last decade. They won the trophy years ago. Some other clubs, Bayer Leverkusen, Schalke 04 lost their strength. Weder Bremen and Stuggart even struggle to stay in Bundesliga.
Haaland is a good support for Dortmund and he is a very wise contract of Dortmund. Next season, I wish to see an interesting race between Bayern and Dortmund, with the full season of Haaland for Dortmund. If next year, Dortmund can not win the trophy, they will almost unable to win it next few years because Haaland will have a transfer soon (maybe the transfer will be from Dortmund to Bayern).

They have usually suffered against Bayern always.The coming of Haaland was a great addition to their performance but in order to fight and win the battle against Bayern,Dortmund should give enough time for Haaland to be in full sintony with the rest of the team.Only then they can try and win the title again.

Dortmund also has great resources and don't forget that they spent so much money on December in order to sign Haaland - who has helped the team so much from the time he can.
However, Borussia seems unable to compete Bayern. They lost the crucial match against the team from Munchen with such a huge performance difference.

Bayern is very strong team and they have resources for catching this all no other German clube is capable of doing this like Bayern but now we can feel in next season we will watch some good and interesting competition from Dotrmund Leipzig and Leverkusen as now they are doing good and can do some more effort for better result in next season.

Just think that in December the whole icon was totally different.
It was Leipzig First and Freiburg I think second and we were discussing if Bayern would be able to reach the top position. Not they not only reach the first place but also they got huge difference from the 2nd place.

Not to go off topic but indeed Germany has proved beyond reasonable doubt that they can contain the Coronavirus as shown by the low numbers of infected people which should not disrupt any sports games there. This whole hygiene concept should be a trade secret of some sort because they have contained this so well.

Reason to this is simple! Big teams have star players that feel they can't be exposed to such life threatening conditions or they playing with a phobia and not giving a 100%

It is weird to see some high level teams losing so much of points whereas middle table teams winning so many points as well, it looks like there is a quite good difference.

However, I feel like you could take a 8 game series in anytime of the league and make a case for any team at all, even paderborn must had some 8 game series where they played like a middle table team or even maybe better (not really sure). At the end of the day the league is not 8 games because of this but even if it was Bayern is still at the top .

Bayern is always at the top when we are talking about Bundesliga, sure there are periods when they weren't but it was a short period of time which they recovered. God knows whats required to finally abolish the monopoly Bayern has over Bundesliga, they are really either winning it or second and that is scary for the league.

It was just a quick manual calculation with a piece of paper, didn't pay attention to all details but yeah as you said when we compare that table after the restart to the actual full Bundesliga one we can see clearly the difference. Maybe a better comparison can be possible when we compare tables for matches before and after the pause 

Thanks snipie, I decided to update your table with more information and I think you miscalculated the points for Dortmund (they lost both against Bayern and Mainz) so they should be 6 points behind Bayern.

* Bremen and Frankfurt had 9 matches played because their match on matchday 24 couldn't be played in March and had to be rescheduled to 03rd of June.

For some teams like Schalke and Köln the season better be over rather sooner than later. They can be glad they managed to get enough points in the first half of the season and before the Corona break. Other teams, like Bremen and Mainz improved a lot and I am sure they would both be happy to have some more games to collect some more points to stay in the league.

You can also see very well the contrasts between your table and the Bundesliga table. Especially between Frankfurt and Schalke.

A little bit annoyed so I decided to see the rank of Bundesliga teams based on their points (without goals difference) after the restart. So I take on consideration only the last 8 games so max 24 points.

I guess that Bremen has a slight advantage. If they lose, they will still stay in 17th place. So they have nothing left to lose. All they can do is win. Even if they play very well and win but Düsseldorf wins too, the media and fans will say they have fight and gave it their all.

Yeah it is sad indeed. Bayern already picked the 1st spot since few rounds, Dortmund 2nd, Leipzig in CL, Leverkusen or M'Gladbach for the 4th spot with a clear advantage for M'Gladbach. Wolfsburg/Hoffenheim in Europa League. Paderborn already relegated. Bremen/Düsseldorf to be relegated or has a second chance.
Basically this round isn't very very interesting except of Bremen and Leverkusen games. At the opposite Serie A and La Liga, the first places aren't yet secured by any team

It is very sad to watch Bundesliga in order to see if a team is going to be relegated or not.
Feels like all other incidents have no meaning now - like who is going to be the title winner.

This is very difficult to predict, because anything can happen in this last match. What determines whether to survive or not for Werder. And certainly Dusseldorf will certainly use one more match to stay in the bundesliga and werder hoping for a defeat for Dusseldorf, even though the chances are very few. We look forward to this weekend.

Seems hard to me since Werder have been performing really bad. Their defence has now worsened and Cologne is not that bad side either in terms of attacking. Also Werder is also struggling to score as well which is also something to worry here. The margin is very slim for Werder but as long as you have chance I hope they put their all best in the last round.

Leipzig has also has qualified for the champions league spot but I would turn my attention to Gladbach and Leverkusen matches in the next.

The spread of the disease in Germany and Europe in general slowed down and the virus kind of moved to the American continent thanks to the serious measures taken by govs even if it was a little bit late.
4 long days before closing Bundesliga drama and know if Bremen will relegate or get a second chance 

The last matchday will be held at this weekend and currently it seems that there were no relevant diseases with corona in the Bundesliga. So the hygiene concept seems to have worked.  I would not have thought that it works so well.

There has been a ton of teams that were once very successful but now not so much and we can all agree that almost 100% of them are due to mismanagement. Teams care about players a lot, they pay the players the most money and spend not so much for the rest of the team, this is a business after all and you can't just invest into one part of the business and forget about the others.

Teams who got that money which is millions of euros so it is not even little, and some of them spent it on the buildings, the schools, the academy the stadium and many stuff like that and even had places where they educate coaches so that they would have properly educated coaches for the youth teams as well. So, if you spend the money to be a huge business that could never fail and always works no matter if the main team loses, you will do fine.
