If he passes Messi's crazy 2012/13 season then why not? He scored 50 goals in La Liga and 91 goals total in that season. I don't think anybody can beat that record for a long time. Smiley
Lewandowski is having a great season and so far he has 37 goals. Last year he had 55 goals in 47 games. First he should break his own record. Bayern will play at least 11 more games this year, make it 13 games since they almost guaranteed to eliminate Lazio in Champions League. But they got eliminated in German Cup so there won't be more games.
Lewy is a great striker but I don't know he is one of greatest strikers in history or at least in recent decades. Bundesliga in last one decade has been under the foot of Dortmund (with Lewy, Reus and Gotze) and Bayern Munich (with Lewy is their main striker). The domination in Bundesliga of Bayern help Lewy a lot. The same goes for Messi in the golden decade of Barcelona and Ronaldo with golden period of Galaticos 2.0 in Real Madrid.

The financial crisis two decades ago affect football in the Europe. Only superb big clubs survive and become bigger, smaller clubs struggle and the competition is decreasing.

Halaand is the best and a golden boy for Raiola.

He will probably end up moving 3 more times for the rest of his carrier and every time he will put in his pocket more than 10m € for every transfer.

At this paste, Dortmund is risking his spot in the Champions League and it will be shaming if it happens while they have players like Sancho and Halaand...
Haaland is a great youth striker and he will create another long fight for the best player in the world with Mbappe. It is an interesting story that the father of Haaland ended his career very early because of a serious injury. Life takes his career but gives him a great kid, Haaland Erling.

What Haaland need in next 1 or 2 seasons is a big transfer to a big and competitive club. Then he will be able to join competition to titles: national league, Champions League, and personal titles. The only restriction for Haaland is his national team is not strong enough.

Robert Lewandowski now has 31 goals in 23 games (as a striker) for Bayern in the Bundesliga. Could this be one of the best goal scorers of all-time?

i am now very sure that he (RL) will surpass Gerd Müller's record (40 goals in one season)!!!
I believe that Lewy will make a new all time record in this season.

The thing their management did of sacking Favre just based on one match is gonna haunt them. Terzic took over the team and the team started losing back to back matches in middle. They dropped a lot of points just because of some bad decision of the Dortmund management. They still have time to make it into the CL spot but honestly this situation wouldn't have arised.

Most of the time you lose a game against a top team if you score the goals too early. That was the case again.
Dortmund played well, but in the end Bayern won (once again) .

He has always been a prolific striker since I got to know him so it wouldn't come as a surprise to see him being named as one of the best strikers of all time. Lewandowski is the kinda player everyone would need on their team as he's always stepping in to help his team even in times when everything has gone kaboom.

i am now very sure that he (RL) will surpass Gerd Müller's record (40 goals in one season)!!!

There's still plenty of matches for him to top up those numbers and stats. That said, I'd be keeping an eye to see how it goes.

Guys, bookmakers are giving away money today <...>
dumb bookies LOL paid off to be greedy with the -1 AHC at 1.93, easiest money i've made this month so far...too bad i missed putting some money on the moneyline when they were 0-2 (odds must've been insanely high), i believe Bayen have made a comeback every time they were down 0-2 this season? don't quote me on that

well, i think the Leipzig - Bayern next month will be the last time we'll such high odds for Bayern ML this season, and that one might be another easy win for Bayern. Looking forward to taking your money away, bookmakers Wink

He's breaking legendary records left and right and also winning tons of titles while being a key piece in one of the most dominating teams we've seen in modern football. Yeah, i think he's among the best of all time, imo

Yes, that is very possible. But I don't think, he will score more than 91 goals like ingiltere mentioned here.

@Soonandwaite while I’m not keen to see Bayern win the title again, but I feel that they have player’s who can thrash Dortmund badly, hence in my opinion it’s Bayern who’ll come on top. Also I feel that it’s harsh to expect so much from Halland, after all Lewandowski is experienced and Halland has a long way to go before he can slay giants like Bayern on his own.
Yes, you are right. At the beginning of the game today, it almost looked like Haaland could beat FC Bayern on their own.  Wink
but the longer the game lasted, the better the Munich players became. and at the end of the 94 minutes, Bayern Munich deserved to win the game.
similar to gary liniker quote: a football match lasts 90 minutes.and in the end bayern always wins

A beautiful derby match and one with flurry of skills and talent; Lewandoski goal record is indeed massive, but also Haaland was fascinating in the tie too, with 5 touches, 1 pass and 2 goals; it was an exceptional performance and top notch accuracy for Haaland, Bayern won the tie 4-2 in an entertaining tie. Dortmund remain 4 points off the champions league places.

Dortmund need to know that Haaland alone is not enough! And bayern have proven themselves to be a solid team with  even if they came late to the meeting after two goals, but the presence of a world-class striker, lewandowski, and various attacking options,The absences are many in Dortmund side and most of his players are young have little experience. And what made it even worse is that Haaland left half of an hour before the end of the match due injury .
A great match presented by Bayern, who culminated in a quick and deserved return in four, to continue the series' lead in the rankings despite the continued pursuit of Leipzig.
There was no doubt that Bayern Munich will win today. Yes, the match turned out with its own script, but this is only for the benefit of the audience. The match is excellent, and this once again proves that Bayern Munich is the undisputed champion of Germany. Borussia can not make up a worthy competition in the fight for the championship, no matter how hard it tries.

I had big doubts when I saw the score being 0-2 Smiley) and even after that Bayern scored I thought it will end as a draw or Dortmund will score again but once again we saw that when you play against Bayern you can never consider then defeated even if you are leading 2-0 and the comeback they did was simply amazing as it was all the game. So yea it can't be denied that they're the undisputed champions of Germany for such a long period of time. They prove it every year and this year the UCL might to Muchen again.

Well, it's great to watch Bayern back on track and they made the Borussia Dortmund game a nice watch. Quite entertaining how the goals were coming with Roberto Lewandowski scoring a hat-trick and becoming king of the match.

I start having the feeling that Leipzig is setting the odds for Bayern Munich with there level of competitiveness in the league. Bayern is feeling the threat now with Leipzig on their tail and should they not keep up with there high scoring game plan and actually taking the games serious and winning games, we might just see Leipzig taking over the league from Bayern and i might like that. Who wouldn't?

Leipzig, having won the last 5 games in a row, is now at 53 points together with Bayern Munich! Who would have believed that?
As I write, Bayern is playing a tense match versus Dortmund and they are currently 2-2. If Bayern wins will keep a two-point distance from Leipzig but if they lose Leipzig will be first in Bundesliga!
After years of Bayern dominance there is a great opponent for them!

Leipzig got a very solid win against Freiburg 3-0 away. Freiburg had literally nothing to do in this match. They took the first place temporarily until the Bayern-Dortmund game. I was really surprised that Haaland scored 2 goals in the first 9 minutes of the match. The more awesome thing was Bayern's incredible comeback.  Cheesy  They managed to equalize the score before the halftime. And they scored 2 more goals in the 88th and 90th minutes which was really great for them. It was really devastating for Dortmund. I believe Bayern really deserved to win here. Lewandowski made a great hat-trick.

RB Leipzig beat Freiburg and Bayern München beat Borussia Dortmund today. The standing table won't change this week. Bayern München have no intention to give up on top.
Erling Haaland scored 2 goals in first 9 minutes but Bayern München did same thing like previous games and they made a good comeback again. How many times have we seen this? Even though they concede two goals they never give up and always find a way to do that comeback. That's precious. Another hat-trick by Robert Lewandowski, he's playing his best season of his career this year.
You can imagine now what could do Bayern if it stops receiving many goals that way.
I am disappointed by Wolfsburg +/- Augsburg defeat... didn't see it coming..
