Last year, Alonso identified his opponents' weaknesses very well and developed tactics accordingly. He didn't just develop a tactic. This shows us that he is versatile. I am hopeful about Xabi. I also wonder if next year he will show us how long he can keep the record. They are still undefeated in official matches in Germany. Their only defeat was against Atalanta in the grand final.
Leverkusen's defeat in the grand final against Atalanta was very natural and normal even though the location was very painful for Leverkusen. However, for next season there are many fans who will again see how Alonso will spend another season with Leverkusen in a greater competition, namely the Champions League and also the Bundesliga, where Alonso will also be determined to maintain his unbeaten record in the Bundesliga next season again with conditions which is a bit heavy of course.
Of course, Xabi Alonso still can't believe the defeat in the European league, even though it could be a sweet track record if they can still win the title and continue their unbeaten trend. But fate said otherwise and there Atalanta was able to become the first team to beat Leverkusen.

However, what Leverkusen achieved last season is very difficult for other clubs to beat and when they return to the Bundesliga they must refocus on doing the same thing over and over again if that is still possible. We know that Bayern Munich will really consider Leverkusen as their main rival at this time and they have to break last season's bad result of never winning against Leverkusen. That is one of the conditions if Bayern Munich can move freely to reclaim its seasonal title.

Xabi Alonso can still maintain his unbeaten record in the Bundesliga, but with the Champions League it will be very difficult, especially as we know that the Champions League is where big teams compete. In my opinion, it is unlikely that Leverkusen can maintain its unbeaten record in the Champions League. maybe they can still maintain their unbeaten record in the Bundesliga, but with the Champions League it is very difficult. I think their previous achievements are already very good, with them being able to compete in the Champions League it proves that they have good performance and are worthy of competing with other big teams, but of course there will be lots of surprises for Leverkusen from other big teams that experienced. In my opinion Leverkusen just need to play well, with them not dominating the Champions that is normal but if they can maintain their unbeaten record in the Champions League of course it will be a big surprise.

Apart from that, Leverkusen is still a tough challenger for Bayern Munich. because they already have a suitable and good coach so they can dominate the Bundesliga and break the dominance of Bayern Munich. We don't know next season whether Bayern Munich will dominate again or whether Leverkusen can still handle it, but what is certain is that Leverkusen will not let other teams dominate the Bundesliga because Leverkusen will definitely maintain its performance and dominate the Bundesliga again.

An unbeaten record is something that cannot be easily reproduced just like that a d expecting such from Bayern Leverkusen almost just immediately doesn't look or feel realistic enough for me just immediately,  they may be able to still reproduce a very good results again but I'm not sure about them getting to stay unbeaten successfully again in the next season because they have got more attention on them more than they did last season and they now even have more competitive league to play in this season.

I know that Xabi is still in his good for but I prefer to wait to see their performance in the new season than making projections that may end up not turning out in my expectations, somehow they may not start on a very perfect note in that they may need a little time to still know around how the new season is going to be like and the preparedness of other teams coming to the league together at once too, very importantly now will be their ability to maintain a good position both in the champions league and the bundesliga this season and not to keep an unbeaten record.

Maintaining and defending the title they one last season should also be of top priority for Bayern Leverkusen because I believe even Xabi knows by now that they have a very little and slim chance of replicating that which they were able to get last season in this season so the focus now should be redirected to getting results and not making record as that may not really get them enough as they would have been able to achieve this season.
Other Bundesliga teams will definitely improve so that it will create fiercer competition for Bayern Leverkusen, especially Bayern Muncih, of course to maintain that record is very difficult and I even say it will not be possible, not only for Bayern Leverkusen but for other teams too. It is quite difficult to get this unbeatable record.

Xabi Alonso has proven that since the beginning of his arrival he has built Bayern Leverkusen, so I think there is nothing to doubt, Bayern Leverkusen's performance continues to move in a positive direction and this is also followed by progress so I am quite optimistic that it will continue.

No team cares about the record, every team wants to win the title and the record is only what the fans want.
Defending the Bundesliga title will of course be the team's priority and they also need to increase the strength of the team because Bayern Leverkusen will compete on the Champions League stage so they need much stronger strength to be able to compete with other top European teams in the Champion League.

If Bayern Leverkusen seizes the opportunity and defeats Atalanta in the Europa League, Xabi Alonso will have a fantastic season since he will have gone the entire season without losing a single match in the competition. But Atalanta showed them that they are better than them in the competition. Let's see how Leverkusen will compete next season or if they can repeat what they did last season, but I know that it will be very difficult for them to win the Bundesliga title next season because Dortmund and Bayern Munich i think they will be the favourites to win the trophy because last season i think they are just focusing on the champions league because Reus try is best to get UCL with dortmund  before he leave the club,But he fails to do so when they reach the final stage, which would allow Ruse to achieve his goal, and I believe this is why Dortmund isn't focused on the league. to Bayern Munich's Harry Kane has not won a title at Tottenham, so they have focused more on the UCL to try to win the title for Kane, but they have failed. I am confident that Munich and Dortmund will dominate the league next season.

It cannot be denied that Bayern Munich is indeed the number 1 club in the Bundesliga, it is still a widespread club. Even though they were ultimately defeated by Leverkusen and it is Leverkusen who are at the peak of their success at the moment, actually there are several things that must be understood.

Bayern Munich were quite good at the start of the season, however, their inconsistency made Leverkusen succeed in overtaking them and actually became top standing to win. But for next season, we will still have to wait and see. Because after all, Bayern have learned from many things that happened last season, things that made them finally recognize Leverkusen's greatness this time. And they will definitely get it back with strong reasons. A club that big in the Bundesliga, which has been a top club for a long time, certainly won't just stop when they are overtaken by another club in one season.

Bayern Munich is still best club in Bundesliga even though they lost to Leverkusen. They had some ups and downs which allowed Leverkusen to take the lead. But I think Bayern will come back stronger next season because they learned from their mistakes. A big club like Bayern won't give up after one bad season. They will work harder and be back on top soon. Bayern hired new coach Kompaney but he did not do well in his last job so it is unclear if he can help Bayern improve. One thing is certain Leverkusen is likely to have another great season while Bayern still has a lot to prove.
By the way Leverkusen is doing well and Bayern Munich is struggling. Leverkusen has good players and good coach so they will likely keep doing well.
Yes, even though Bayern Leverkusen won this season's Bundesliga title, Bayern Munich remains the best club in the Bundesliga league because Bayern Leverkusen has yet to achieve what Bayern Munich has achieved. Bayern Munich is the most successful club in Germany. I disagree that Bayern Munich has learned from their mistakes because we have yet to see them perform. When the new Bundesliga season starts, we will know if Bayern Munich will do better next season. Bayern Leverkusen will rival Bayern Munich for the Bundesliga title next season, and if Bayern Munich is not well prepared for the new Bundesliga season, Bayern Leverkusen might beat them again for the Bundesliga title.

Let's wait till next season before we start arguing on the team that will be champions of Germany next season but from the last performance of the teams last season, Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen needs to be careful next season if they want to be the only rivals challenging for the league because the Stuttgart team also looks power from their performance last season. Bayern Munich performance was having a bad season last season but they have got a new manager at the end of last season so they will have no other options but to revive the team and get to be back to being the champions again.

For the Leverkusen team, they are going to be more vigilant because they will need to defend their title and be in the champions league next season they will need to show more good form both on the league matches if they want to defend their title and also be ready to play in the champions league after a long time. They will do everything possible to stay on top of the league while they also hope to go far in the champions league.

Now, Stuttgart? This is a loss they will feel. Big time. Losing Guirassy and Ito, thats a one-two punch they might not recover from. Champions League? Forget about it. They'll be lucky to stay in the top half of the table. All the same, thats the Bundesliga, guys. Always full of surprises. Dortmund deserves credit; they handled this one well. Real smart.
I fully agree that Stuttgart will be feeling the lose of that 2 players , both Guirassy and Ito was top at there positions.
But i guess that the coach and the Stuttgart management already have some eyes on some players to replace them in some way.
How they will be doing now without them in the Champions League is hard to say.
Guirassy i would say will be fit fully into Dortmund in my opinion.

Stuttgart performed well last season. And I was surprised by Stuttgart's consistent performance. Stuttgart took the second place in the table behind Bayern Munich. and qualified for the Champions League. The team finished 16th in the table in the 2022–23 season. The team was very lucky to avoid the relegation zone. We never imagined that this team would make such a grand comeback in the 2023-24 season.

However, if Serhou Guirassy leaves the squad, the negative impact will definitely be seen in Stuttgart's performance next season. Because Serhou Guirassy was Stuttgart's main scorer. Scored 28 goals and two assists in the Bundesliga last season. 28-year-old Serhou Guirassy performed well throughout the season. at the same time Hiroki Ito is a very talented defender. Finding replacements for these two players will be very difficult for Stuttgart.

For people who understand the situation, Leverkusen's defeat is actually a normal thing because it is impossible for a team to run perfectly without losing for a season even though Leverkusen can do it perfectly in the Bundesliga and Leverkusen cannot do it in the UEL final when facing Atalanta, so This defeat was the first defeat which might be an introspection for their team so that they can improve their shortcomings, as a strong team they played quite well last season therefore their first defeat was not a disgrace but for those who lost their bet because holding Leverkusen will probably continue to blame Leverkusen for yesterday's final loss to Atalanta.

I'm sure there are many people who lost because they bet on Leverkusen in the UEL final yesterday, so the loss cannot be accepted by gamblers, but for those who understand and understand the situation and conditions, for me, Leverkusen experienced their first defeat, which is quite normal even though they lost badly in the final and Failing to win the UEL trophy doesn't mean they failed completely, they were still able to get several trophies last season, even though they failed to win the treble, at least they tried to play as well as possible. BTW, Leverkusen has the opportunity to avenge its defeat in the UCL if they meet Atalanta again.  Grin

Yes, even though Bayern Leverkusen won this season's Bundesliga title, Bayern Munich remains the best club in the Bundesliga league because Bayern Leverkusen has yet to achieve what Bayern Munich has achieved. Bayern Munich is the most successful club in Germany.
Since Bayern Leverkusen won the trophy, Bayer Leverkusen is clearly the best club in Bundesliga last season. However, you are right that Bayern Munich is still the most successful club in German because they won most domestic trophies. But the status of most winners in German never guarantees Bayern Munich to win the trophy for the next season.

I disagree that Bayern Munich has learned from their mistakes because we have yet to see them perform. When the new Bundesliga season starts, we will know if Bayern Munich will do better next season.
You're right. We don't know yet that Bayern Munich has got a lesson from their bad performance last season or not. Sure, we must take a look at the results of the early matches of Bundesliga in the next season. If some early matches get positive results, we can assume that Bayern Munich has learned much from the last season.

Bayern Leverkusen will rival Bayern Munich for the Bundesliga title next season, and if Bayern Munich is not well prepared for the new Bundesliga season, Bayern Leverkusen might beat them again for the Bundesliga title.
Definitely. If Bayern Munich isn't ready for the next season, Bayer Leverkusen or other top teams in Bundesliga will defeat Bayern Munich again. I am sure Bayern Munich is busy to prepare everything for the next season. They must target to win the trophy again, there should be some changes to be done before the season starts.

Alonso has managed to build a squad that is indeed quite capable and ready to compete with a strong team in the Bundesliga last season, Alonso ability to formulate strategies and also build the foundation of the team has made Leverkusen one of the most consistent teams in the Bundesliga, although indeed their squad contains the majority of academy players, but Alonso was able to turn their mentality into a winning team with all the limitations in the team,  Next season, of course, the competition in the Bundesliga will be even tighter so it does require Alonso to continue to improve the quality of their squad to be better, although indeed this season they have a fairly strong squad but still they still have to add at least a few new players before the league next season starts.

Leverkusen journey in the Europa League also surprised us, although indeed they failed to win the Europa League title and ended the season with a treble winner, but consistency in the game was able to give fear to other teams in the Europa League at that time, failure to win the Europa League trophy should be a motivation for Alonso to be able to pay for the disappointment by getting the Champions League trophy next season, Although they do have to compete with big teams, I think with the addition of new players, of course, Leverkusen can be very ready to compete in the Champions League next season.

For nearly 20 million as well, not too expensive if you ask me. He could play for at least another 5 seasons, these days 33-34 years old is not too old for players and that means they got a player for nearly 4 million a year, plus the players cost, I think this is a cheap transfer for someone who is quite good. I am not saying he will show the same talent at Dortmund, sometimes you end up buying a player because you think they are good, but then they end up not doing anything and stop being good in the end.

I think the biggest example ever in history could be Hazard, he was seen as a superstar, went to Madrid, sucked and never played for one season. I am not saying Guirassy will be like that, all likely that he won't, I am saying only bad possibility would be that, aside from that he is a big catch for Dortmund.
In terms of price, it might not be too expensive, but playing for five years will make him stay there for a long time. Meanwhile, if you look at it in terms of age, you can be categorized as having entered old age and automatically your playing performance is no longer the same. Another consideration is that he can be used as an option when the coach wants to rotate or a player in the same position is injured and his presence can resolve the problem.

This is different from Hazard because he plays for a club that has equal quality players so that when his performance is inconsistent he will face competition from his teammates. Hopefully Guirassy doesn't have a bitter experience like Hazard because he is no longer young so he has a lot of competition from young players that he has to maximize.

Vincent Kompany is a risk for Bayern Munich. I think this risk should not have been taken. They could have continued on their way with a more experienced and qualified coach. Offers were made to a few coaches and were not accepted. That's why they had to appoint Kompany as the head of the team. I hope Kompany will be successful because the squad he has is the best squad in the Bundesliga on paper. With the right technique and tactics, I'm sure Bayern can come to good places, just like old times.
Bayern Munich tried but they couldn't find a better quality manager than Vincent Kompany. There are many managers who have not taken charge of a club at the moment but still refuse to take charge of Bayern Munich because a manager who has been in charge of Bayern Munich for one season will be dropped the next time. Self-respect is a big factor here, no manager would want to leave the club in disgrace after just one season in charge.

Since the club had no better options than Vincent Kompany, they will have to be satisfied with this manager's tactics. It was a mistake for Bayern Munich to sack their manager last season. Thomas Tuchel was a more experienced manager than Vincent Kompany but was not valued by Bayern Munich.

New season is expected to start on August 23. It is still two months away from us of course and we are all focused on Euro 2024 now. Bundesliga teams must be also watching the tournament closely to plan their transfers.

Congrats to Dortmund on finalizing the Guirassy deal officially.  Smiley  I'm happy for him as well because of signing for a bigger team after having a great season. I don't even know why there weren't any other team making an offer to sign him.  Huh  Maybe just Dortmund was too quick.

https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1806307222319775759

Do you think Xabi Alonso can maintain this level next season? Honestly it seems really difficult to me. Because it was an insane season with a 50+ games unbeaten streak as far as I can remember.

Congratulations to Dortmund on signing another good player, I believe Guirassy will help the team because he is a good player who knows how to help a team, Dortmund wants to make sure that next season they will perform very well and win even a single trophy but with the new coach and the new players in the team, did you think that the team performance will improve? I heard a rumor that the Dortmund coach wanted to leave the team and also some players were leaving the team From my point of view I think that will affect the team's performance because another coach might come and start turning players to play poorly.

Another player I would like Dortmund to sign is Sancho, Manchester United wants to sell Sancho and I think this is the right time for Dortmund should sign the player, sancho has been a good player for Dortmund and buying will help the team a lot, negotiating with Manchester United and sign the player will be good for Dortmund, though Manchester will put a high price on Sancho like 40m above it will be good for Dortmund to buy him and help them this season.

Serhou Guirassy has agreed to sign his move to the Dortmund squad, this is good thing for Dortmund because they got one of the best Bundesliga players who is Stuttgart mainstay goal machine.
Dortmund got Serhou Guirassy with clause of 17,5 million Euros and this was Dortmund success in this summer transfer window because it can also be seen that Guirassy is player who is being targeted by several other big team thanks to his greatness.
Even though I quite regretful about Guirassy departure to Dortmund because he could have been sold at any time if it was profitable and the chances of winning the title were quite remote, but everything has happened and this is the decision that Guirassy took.
He will be the same as Kane with Bayern Munich where both were the best goal machines for the team that had them, but had no chance of winning the title in the previous season.

Usually it would be Bayern Munich vs Dortmund for the tight rivalry.
But for the new season, it will be Bayer Leverkusen vs Bayern Munich.

Seeing the fierce competition between Leverkusen and Bayern Munich last season, we will definitely assume they will compete again next season. Leverkusen is still managed by their great coach Xabi Alonso, while Bayern Munich has got a new coach, but we don't know whether the new coach's skills will be as great as Xabi Alonso ? Bayern Munich's coach is a young coach like Xabi Alonso and they also don't have much experience, but we shouldn't doubt Vincent Kompany before he shows his abilities, even though it's a bit of a problem. But I know that out of the many choices, Bayern Munich has decided to choose Vincent Kompany. Who is knows he can provide what Thomas Tuchel couldn't last season.

It looks like next season the competition will be even fiercer between Dortmund and Bayern Munich with their new coach and they will compete fiercely with Leverkusen in the hunt for the title. I still include Dortmund as a strong candidate to win the title in the Bundesliga even though they sometimes lose to Bayern Munich, but still Dortmund is one of the clubs that Being able to reach the final in the Champions League last season.

I stand with Palestine.
Many people, not only you, doubt whether Xabi Alonso can develop even more crazy after they last season had a pantastis match with victory and unbeaten performance, this triggered the negative possibility of some people thinking about Bayer Leverkusen.

But if indeed Xabi Alonso can develop much crazier and better than before this will be something very great in the future because indeed Bayer Leverkusen in the hands of xabi Alonso get a development that has never been recorded before, will be the best coach ever found if the development continues, but I think it is also a little unlikely because Xabi Alonso also does not have many good players at Bayer Leverkusen, he is only good at maximizing the abilities that are there and succeeding, we do not know what the future steps will be.
Yes you are right many people wonder if Xabi Alonso can do even better than last season amazing success at Bayer Leverkusen. Some people doubt Leverkusen chances with Alonso as coach but I think he is great coach who can bring out best in his players. If he keeps doing well he might become best coach Leverkusen has ever had. However Alonso success depends on how well he can work with players he has since he does not have team full of superstars. Future is uncertain but one thing is clear Xabi Alonso has already made a big impact as a coach and it will be exciting to see what he can achieve with Leverkusen.

I also have that thought, but seeing the experience in the last season, I think we still need to have hope in him, even though I don’t think he can still keep that policy of an unbeaten game this season. I know he will try his possible best and see what he will be able to achieve because this coming season will be very challenging for him, unlike last season. Moreover, other teams will have adopted the strategy that they used last season to keep that unbeaten record, but all I think we have to consider is that Xavi Alonso has always tried his best for Beyer Leverkusen, and he will see how to face this new challenge that they will face in some months, so all hope and expectations are on Alonso.
