Bayern Leverkusen managed to achieve a great victory at Dortmund, the team fought very hard from the beginning, so their victory was assured. Bayern Munich is performing well in their league competition, and with how they are doing in the Bundesliga, I am sure they will definitely be the winner of the Bundesliga title this season. Kompany has a target to get the Bundesliga trophy this season and it is not an easy job because Leverkusen themselves also have the opportunity to defend the title and they will also fight to do so.

Pretty entertaining opening of the new round after the winter break. especially the first half. After the 2nd goal for Leverkusen in the 8th minute, it could look like we might see a double-digit result by the end of the game, but Borussia put themselves together and fixed holes in their defence (well, somewhat).
As I posted earlier, defeating Borussia in front of their own fans is not an easy task as they tend to perform really well at home, so it's a pretty precious victory for Bayer.
Who knows, maybe they will manage to defend their title after all.

The first defeat at home for Dortmund after previously being quite good at defending it in the Bundesliga but this duel made them have to surrender because if you look at them Dortmund lacked mentality at the start of their game so that in the 19th minute Leverkusen had scored 3 goals, Dortmund played quite well in the second half but unfortunately they could not equalize the final score 2-3 became the final result that Dortmund had to accept, but whatever Leverkusen did in this match they were quite in control with a good game scheme.
Some good news for Bochum. their previous 1-1 draw with Union Berlin got overturned by a German sports court to a 2-0 win. This is following an incident where Bochum's goalkeeper (Patrick Drewes) was hit by a lighter tossed at him by one of the Union Berlin supporters, who got irritated that Drews was taking too long and stalling the game to protect a favourable 1-1 draw.
Some say Drews didn't really suffer that much and he just used that opportunity to steal more time, but, nevertheless, Bochum will get rewarded with a win. I'm not sure if the decision is now official or if Union can still appeal, as this doesn't seem to be reflected in the official table yet.

Its not yet 30 minutes of play and we already have 4 goals, Bayern leverkusen seem to be having a free ride on the night. Dortmund will not believe what just hit them, 3 goal from the visitors in less than twenty minutes.
The goals were so quick in this match, and it seems like all the goals are already been scored because I never expected up to three goals in this match, but Leverkusen was so quick to score two goals, and even though Dortmund was trying to recover, they scored the third goal to weaken them completely, and the score line remains like that throughout the first half and the second half is also far with same score line.Dortmund is playing well in the match, they hold the highest ball possession because they dominated the match, but Leverkusen was able to make it difficult for them from the early goals they scored; therefore, I don’t expect Dortmund to level this score because Leverkusen is playing carefully, they are trying to avoid conceding any goal because it will mount pressure on them and Dortmund will have power to level up.
Finally, the game ended in favor of Bayern Leverkusen by a score of 2:3 but had it been Dortmund showed more courage earlier they could have ended in a draw even though the Bayern Leverkusen side became protective and needed to secure the win at all cost in order for them to still continue chasing Bayern Munich at the top of the league table.

Dortmund has 70% ball possession, much more shots, but the same shots on target as Leverkusen. From this, we can see that N. Sahin has a lot of homework, especially in defense and also their front line.

The intersting thing here is, both of them were team mates, they both played for Real Madrid back then, its good seeing them now go head to head as coaches of two great German teams. Dortmund had a nightmare since the first minute, the quick goal clearly destroyed their mentality. The attempt to make the match a draw failed, Leverkusen showed their class as the defending champion. Xabi Alonso strategy worked perfectly, by not controlling the ball too much, they effectively managed to win. The additional three points obtained by Leverkusen today, clearly put psychological pressure on Bayern Munich at the top of the standings.

Leverkusen just beat Dortmund and now is on a nine match winning streak in all competitions. Also this is the first time this season in bundesliga that Dortmund lost at home. It was definitely a good game and a great way to kick start the second half of the season it was a very good start for Bayer Leverkusen, two quick goals in the first 10 minutes of the game was a good one, for Dortmund it was a very poor start, giving a way two early goals against an opponent like Bayer Leverkusen is the biggest mistake one could actually make because when you try to press for an equalizer they punish you for the space you leave behind same thing happened in this game and resulted in the third goal for Leverkusen.
To Dortmund this is a very bad start for them, this loss can bring them down to even 10 position pending the outcome of other games, this is a bad one for Dortmund if they miss out on the champions league qualification places.

Same thing affected HensinFlick, Arteta, and some managers but they keep doing it because they are trying to change their playing pattern at very wrong time. Of big coaches keep making such mistakes, they will cause a lot problem and most of the coaches will get sacked.Sometimes it is not usually there fault to just bench players like that sometimes it’s the nature of the game, most managers love rotation and some approach games with different tactics and some tactics are actually not suitable for some players and that’s why they come from the bench. Although for some managers they are usually stubborn that they don’t consider changing tactics if the first one is going wrong in a game

What caught my attention the most was when the ball was in Dortmund's hands. Leverkusen was closing the areas very well and putting good pressure on the opponent, not allowing them to use the ball comfortably.
The tactics of not allowing Dortmund to play the ball continently is one of the best thing Alonso did in this match to give his team advantage because the tactics worked as they were able to restrict Dortmund from lunching dangerous attacks which is the main reason they keep plying at home without much attempt in goals.What caught my attention the most was when the ball was in Dortmund's hands. Dortmund's defense is very disappointing if not they wouldn't have allowed the three goals they conceded just within 19 minutes of play but that was to show how porous their defense line is and it has always been a problem for Borussia Dortmund because they have conceded goals in their last six games. The attack of Dortmund is not bad but they need to pay attention to the defense so that they don't continue conceding so much goals in their future games.
