Turnover is fast in big teams. Goretzka still played a lot of games for Bayern Munich. Of course, the manager may want to transfer another player instead. They may also want to sell him and make serious money. These are very normal for Bayern Munich. I think Goretzka would be upset about this, but he would understand.
If he was 35 years old or something then I would understand, but if you have a 29 year old player who is already playing great, it makes zero sense to ruin that and get someone younger. Like I said, if he was 35 or something then I get it because then it would be like they are just changing whatever, but right now we are talking about not an old player changing, so it is not like they are rebuilding, they already have a young player.
Goretzka could play another six seasons before he is 35, and at this day and age, players do play good until they are 35, that means they are throwing away six seasons of Goretzka, because they think Wirtz could be better. I feel like this is useless money spending, makes no sense at all. God knows how much money they are going to spend on getting Wirtz, if I were them, I would instead focus that on goalkeeper, Neuer seems to be a great goalkeeper but he is 90 years old now
. So, it might be better to find someone younger and much better and use that money for that position instead.
