These are the moments that young players need to show their talent, they need playing time so they can more easily integrate with the core players and understand the philosophy of the coach. Young players are the future of the club, they need to explore their potential so they can enter the main team.
Their presence is very much needed because Munich's schedule is very tight this season, at any time Kompany can make a small rotation or give them confidence in them towards the end of the 10 minutes of the match so that they can hone their mentality and abilities.

Just as you said friendly games are avenues coaches use to test their squad and give playing time to young players especially for the fact that friendly games doesn't have a specific number of substitution, you can substitute as many as you want within the 90 minutes frame. Cup games in its initial stages also brings this opportunity as most times during the preliminary stage lower division teams are fused with the first division teams. So cups brings that opportunity of fielding these young players with 3 or 4 experienced ones to play along side.

Young players are future assets for every team so every coach must be able to utilize those who are still young at certain moments such as when rotation is needed in order to maintain the fitness of their own core players. So young players will also have an important role in this because they can also use that opportunity to make adjustments with players who are already experienced enough in the team. And so far Kompany is also expected to be able to use his players quite optimally and must be able to glance at talented young players to be able to strengthen Munich for the rest of this season and also in the coming season.

Bayern Munich is a very big team. Munich builds a strong squad every season and spends a lot of money to build the squad. Bayern Munich has experienced and talented players like Harry Kane in the attack. However, at the same time, the Munich management should add young talented strikers to the squad. As a result, even if Kane leaves Bayern Munich in the future, Munich will not have much problem in finding a suitable replacement.

Moreover, even if important players in the squad are injured, a suitable replacement is needed. Bayern Munich has a very busy schedule. The team is fighting for the Champions League and Bundesliga titles. That is why KOmpany should focus more on the young talented players in the squad. As a result, Bayern Munich will be able to maintain consistency in the long run.

People must be crazy if they think these teams are even remotely close this season. I am not saying it's impossible for Dortmund to win, like I said before, we have seen Bayern lose to a team that is not even on Bundesliga , it was a lower division, so yeah in football shocking results happen, doesn't mean you bet accordingly, doesn't mean you bet on a third division team to beat Bayern, that would be stupid, so betting on Dortmund here doesn't make sense, I believe we need to make sure that we can do better and that is the most important part, if we can make that work, then we could see this changing as well, but that doesn't mean that we are going to end up with a great return that easily, it is not going to work that simple, so we need to be careful about it.

I get that Dortmund used to be a good team, almost won the title two seasons ago, but right now they are not even good, and Leverkusen is awesome, so this wager is very very simple for me.

I don't remember a game where Bayern was defeated by a lower-division side, and if that's true, I do not think Bayern Munich used their best players. On the other hand, are you suggesting that Dortmund playing against Leverkusen is like Bayer Leverkusen playing against a weak team from division 1 and that betting on Dortmund to win is just like betting on a team from division 1 defeating Leverkusen? Despite Dortmund's current position of 6th in the league table, you are not sure that they will have the advantage of playing at home.

Of course, we all know that Dortmund used to be an outstanding Bundesliga team, but they lost form after missing their chance to win the league title. However, Leverkusen won the league title last season and is still competing for the league this season, but I don't expect them to beat Dortmund at home. Dortmund will fight hard not to lose points to finish among the top four, so I believe the game will end in a draw.

Bro I really do understand your sentiment here and the angle you are actually coming from, but this is football, anything can happen, that's number one, secondly, in the German bundesliga borussia Dortmund is one of the top teams in the league, tell me why they can't beat a Bayern Leverkusen side, even though Bayern Leverkusen are in a more better form than they are?

Football can be unpredictable sometimes, because red card can comes in, and it might sway the game to the favour of borussia dortmund, besides they are on their home turf, so they will definitely have more guts to attack this Bayern Leverkusen side knowing that it's on their own turf, so am not ruling out anything, and I equally don't see any of them as favourite here because their is not much difference between these team in terms of quality, but am very confident that it's actually going to be a fascinating encounter between this two teams no doubt.

I stand with Palestine.
Bayern Munich and Stuttgart played a friendly match against strong opponents. However, Bayer Leverkusen probably invited one of the lower league teams for a friendly match to test their young players. I am sure Leverkusen had the opportunity to test many players in this match. The development of young players is very important for the coach. I think it was a good match to see the development of these players.
That was smart decision by Bayer Leverkusen to plan friendly game against team from lower league. This way they could give their young players chance to play and see how well they are doing in situation that is not too stressful. By doing this coach can see what players are good at and what they need to work on which helps them to improve. It is great to see Leverkusen focusing on helping their young players get better and this game was probably very useful experience for them.

Kompany did not rotate much in the match so it was seen that many of the main players were fielded and in my opinion he tried to adjust to a different scheme in determining the strategy. Although actually the friendly match will give the opportunity for young players to show their skills and it can be combined by the coach to see their abilities. Thus young players will get the opportunity to play in the first team when they are able to show their best abilities. Bayern Munich managed to win the match with a score of 6-0 and this was a big win even though it was only a friendly match and it was good as a test of strength to face real competition.

Both teams to score and a draw that's what I think it's the lowest risk in the game. I won't be betting though but that would had been my bets if I wanted to bet on the game. I always avoid games like this that the outcomes isn't clear to me due to the nature of the game. Dortmund won't want to lose and the same goes for Leverkusen. But don't make an assumption that Dortmund is going to lose just as they have been having a poor form as they have a very good record against Leverkusen. This game is also going to be the first game after the festivities that just ended. I noticed same type of results were played in the premier league as many teams were just drawing.
I think so too, Dortmund and Leverkusen are likely to both be able to score, and betting on that possibility is indeed lower risk. We know Dortmund ambition right now is to reach the top four, and they hope to be involved in the Bundesliga trophy race again. Meanwhile, Leverkusen will continue to carry the ambition to stick close to Bayern Munchen at the top of the standings, as part of their efforts to defend the trophy. The two teams are not more dominant over each other, but it must be admitted that Leverkusen has performed better overall this season.

On the other hand, personally I see victory tending to side with Leverkusen, altough Dortmund gets a slight advantage because they act as hosts. The mentality of Xabi Alonso squad is still proven to be quite strong when facing fellow big teams, we can refer to their victory in the DFB Pokal when they beat Bayern Munchen. I don't think the head to head record will have much influence, because that happened not in the Nuri Sahin era.
If we go with Borussia Dortmund prospect then things are clearly indicating if we have draw in this game this could be also acceptable for them because their performance is having not good rhythm while they are inconsistent in last three games they lost against Barcelona and then held by Hoffenheim at home and then won against Wolfsburg on road their home record is not good and Bayer Leverkusen is currently having 9 wins streak in all competition while they concede only 5 goals from their last 9 games which is also amazing stuff from them now after having good success their points difference with Bayern Munich is also just 4 points.

Here surely must win situation for them if they want to keep pressure on Bayern Munich in case of lost or draw they can face consequences which could be surely having increase in deficit and also staying into second position until end of this season as well this surely give them motivation for win.

Leverkusen in this holiday I am sure they are preparing for surprises for their fans again I really hope their history can be repeated after this even though not long ago, but the reaction of how they competed showed that they returned healthy to create new things, especially times This enters the Champions League which is very prestigious and can compete with other strong teams that have been in control of the Champions League, Xabi Alonso will definitely improve their abilities and for the League Bundes I think they will grow back to fight for the title this season to frustrate the company's plan .

There won't be any surprises. They have been at their strongest in the weeks before Christmas and that is what counts for them. Trying to stay there and keep going until they play against Bayern and can finally close the gap unless they fail until then or Bayern fails, both is possible. But it would be a serious highlight again if both teams keep winning until then as that game would be of extreme importance for both of them.

There are some interesting scenarios waiting at the end of this season. If Leverkusen wins the Bundesliga title again, what will happen to Kompany? And would Bayern try to sign Alonso again? His contract ends in 2026 and if he wins the Bundesliga again, maybe he is the kind of guy who wants to keep building the era with Leverkusen instead of leaving then?

A lot of things are possible, but you can see from Alonso's body language that he isn't done with Leverkusen at all. He wants to defend the title as he knows that it's a long time ago when Bayern didn't win it for two consecutive years. What would Wirtz do? Would both stay and then go to Bayern in 2026 together?

Leverkusen could win the match at Dortmund's home this weekend, but Leverkusen must play better and work harder in terms of creating chances against Dortmund because Dortmund is also quite strong when playing at home so that the team should not be underestimated by any opponent who comes there. Now Dortmund also really needs a win because so far the team has also been quite behind several other teams even though only in a very small amount when viewed from the points they have obtained so far.
In the last home game Dortmund had draw against Hoffenheim and Dortmund game was very bad, on the other hand previously Dortmund also got 1 red card received by Pascal Gross in the meeting against Wolfsburg so Pascal Gross was confirmed absent later when Dortmund hosted Leverkusen.
There is an advantage that Leverkusen can have to win, what needs to be done is to optimize the front line to be sharper considering that Leverkusen if they play well then Dortmund is not difficult team for them to beat, especially Bayern Munich who is the strongest team can only bring draw against Leverkusen.

Bayern Munich destroyed RB Salzburg by six goals to nothing in today's friendly match. It is true that it isn't an official game after all but the number of goals are very interesting against a team that is not that weak truly.
Stuttgart 2 - 2 Ajax. Stuttgart dropped a lot while Ajax recovered after their catastrophic season last year.
For Bayer Leverkusen, I don't know why they select an unknown team to beat it by two goals. It will not help them much in front of Borussia Dortmund this Friday.

It's very likely to happen that Bayer Leverkusen loses against Borussia Dortmund, but when you look at their performances from the past two months, Leverkusen surely has the upper hand. The only advantage that Dortmund has going for them in this game is that they play at home and have performed very well in front of their own audience. I think this could be the extra motivation that Dortmund needs to not lose against Leverkusen. If this game was played in Leverkusen, I would go with a win for Leverkusen. But now I think a draw is a likely outcome and I don't think Leverkusen will lose it.
This could be a spectacular match with goals from both teams, but because it will be a home game for Dortmund, it could be difficult for Bayer to win this game. Before the holiday break, Bayer did look better, but I have often seen a situation where after such a long break, the team loses form and their results worsen. This could also apply to Dortmund, so I would not pick who can win this match, I think they have equal chances to win.

The statistics obviously speak for themselves as Dortmund is one of the strongest team because of aforementioned reasons when they play at home. The fan base has always been their biggest advantage in any of the home games. They call it the yellow wall. But I am happy to see that Bayer Leverkusen managed to find back to their strength and are now performing on the same level as last season.

Since I doubt that Dortmund has a chance to close the gap to Bayern, I think it is important that Leverkusen keeps going to make sure that the Bundesliga remains a close competition.

Ultimately I think Leverkusen is also the more interesting team than Dortmund. Both have some great talents on the team, but Leverkusen is ahead of Dortmund here with players like Wirtz, Schick and Frimpong. I like to see them play more than I like to watch Dortmund these days.

But yes it is not going to be a one sided game for either of the teams. I think any result is possible in this one.

Dortmund have been struggling with their form since the beginning of the season, their performances have been unstable and it’s the reason why they are sitting at 6th position, they need to improve their game to get a spot in the top four at least.
Facing Leverkusen will not be easy for Dortmund especially not in this form they are, having the home advantage doesn’t even make them the match favorites. I know regardless of the outcome the match will be a very tough and intense game but unlike you I cannot stake on Dortmund to win but I like the both teams to score option. I would rather stake on both teams to score and Over 2.5.

Yes, you are right, Borussia Dortmund, even Bayern Munich had a hard time at home. They almost won the match. They lost the match unluckily. Maybe we can see similar things for Bayer Leverkusen. I think Dortmund can win this match. Many people do not see them as favorites, they are not very good this year, but I think it is a match they can win with the effect of their home field. It is also very enjoyable to watch such matches in the German league.

Dortmund has the ability to score points against Leverkusen. Dortmund is a very strong team. However, Dortmund's main problem is that their performance is inconsistent. Dortmund's performance has deteriorated somewhat. The main reason for this is that Dortmund's defenders are not able to do as well as expected this season. However, in the matches where Dortmund's defense played well, Dortmund has been able to score points in these matches. Dortmund has even been able to score points against Bayern Munich. However, Leverkusen is also a strong team this season. So the Dortmund vs Leverkusen match will definitely be very competitive. At the same time, the chances of scoring points are equal for both teams.

Of course and no matter how difficult it is to predict who the winner will be, everyone will have their own beliefs, what about you, whether Dortmund or Leverkusen will win, share little of you predictions and analysis.
I still think Leverkusen will win, some people I know say that the match is very likely to end in draw but I skeptical of draw because Leverkusen also really needs win and it is very important for their continuation.
So many persons have been of the opinion to favour dortmund because they think dortmund is a better side and is much more stronger than leverkusen but contrary to that idea is the fact that dortmund is almost on an equal level with leverkusen looking at their match statistics most recently except if we would be doing something far back historic tracing but in most recent times between last season and now, leverkusen has been more efficient and consistent if we compare them to dortmund, but not to undermine dortmund, they are still a very good team and can be able to as much as leverkusen is good still have a winning edge but in this particular fixture the chances are higher on a draw.

The two teams are not a very weak team and their competitive state has been what is making this match hard to decide for speculators like us. The match is indeed going to be the hottest match of the first week in the 2025 Bundesliga fixtures. Both teams really want a win in this match. In terms of quality play, Bayern Leverkusen have dominated it from last season and are still the best in term of that even in the start of the this season. The only hope that Dortmund has in this game is their historic home games which have always been in favour of them when they meet in their stadium. Not also forgetting the stance of Dortmund in the Bundesliga and also in the European competition, you won’t easily see them as a loser in this match, they’ll try their best to get a win in this match and I’m not sure if a draw is likely to be the outcome of this match.
