There are still a lot of matches left this season and everything is still possible to happen so I think it is too early to write off Leverkusen as a contender for the Bundesliga title this season.
Leverkusen still has good strength this season even though they are now a point behind Bayern Munich but there is still hope for Leverkusen to catch up considering the journey this season is still very long.

1 point behind? Have you not seen the latest standings table? Leverkusen is 9 points behind Bayern Munich so it is increasingly difficult for Leverkusen to catch up with the considerable gap if Bayern Munich continues to perform consistently and if Bayern Munich loses in the next match the points difference between them is also still quite far so it can be said that Leverkusen's chances of winning the title are quite small but at least they still have a chance to improve their performance in the remaining matches and my prediction is that Leverkusen will finish in the top 3 this season.

Maybe Op made a slight mistake in looking at the latest points.
Leverkusen this season is not playing like last season, they have experienced some declines so that they have gotten less than optimal results in several matches they have played in the Bundesliga. But I myself am not surprised by all this, because maintaining what they have shown last season will indeed be more difficult to do, than starting a very good performance like they did last season.
But the opportunity is still there, with the note that they must be able to improve their performance this season. That is the only way for their opportunities to be even wider.

In fact, Dortmund has the capacity to be Bayern toughest competitor in the title hunt, but because the management prioritizes money by selling quality young players and then bringing in new, cheaper players, Dortmund always has difficulty winning the title at the end of the season. This time Dortmund will also have difficulties again when attending Bayern Munich due to inconsistent performance this season, besides that, Bayern Munich has actually found its identity again with a series of positive results achieved. On paper, Bayern Munich are the clear favourites this time around, but Dortmund also have a chance to spring a surprise.
This is what needs to be changed and if Dortmund wants to compete with Bayern Munich then selling talented young players must be stopped and they do not fully think about business in football. Dortmund is indeed one of the strong teams in the Bundesliga, but we regret the attitude of management who always run business and do not think about the success of the club. Dortmund has always succeeded in changing young players to be more talented and we do not doubt that ability. This season will be much more difficult for Dortmund to compete with Bayern Munich and I don't have high hopes for them because what we see is that their focus is only to qualify for the Champions League and be able to show the talent of their young players to other teams.

Come on man, you should know better. "Selling young players must be stopped" can't be more wrong. They have no choice. These players want to go to bigger teams, BVB offers them better contracts with more money every single time but the players and their managers (advisers) get super greedy, want more and more money and want to go to a bigger team. Dortmund can do NOTHING about that because often enough these players, when coming to Dortmund, want an exit clause in their contract with a fixed sum. Once a team is willing to pay this, and the player wants to go, Dortmund can only watch and say goodbye. That's the business. BVB might be a big club in Germany but they are still a small club compared to the real big clubs with the big paychecks. Can only hate this but that's how the business works.

The picture is misleading  Wink It will be Dortmund - Bayern and not the other way around. At the moment, the bookmakers' odds for this game are as follows:

4.80 - 4.10 - 1.68

Honestly, I don't know how fair they are (for me this pair is mostly random) but I see that the bet on Bayern doesn't look profitable. If I were to bet cash, it would be on Dortmund.
This is big match this weekend and Dortmund have the advantage of playing at home but Bayern Munich have the advantage on paper regarding the quality of performance which is much better than Dortmund, clearly Bayern Munich are the favorites and bookmakers are still giving odds that are still quite profitable for Bayern Munich.
But it is little doubtful if take Bayern Munich as favorite for betting because the odds are still at @1.68 and now have changed to @1.69, if the team is guaranteed to win then it will definitely show @1.20 or less but Bayern Munich have quite big odds.

Dortmund is not really bad this season; they are in good shape in the Bundesliga; they are at the top 5 in the table right now, although I can’t really say they will take over the top 4 over Leverkusen since Bayer Leverkusen are also doing well, and Leverkusen are also fighting for the top if the standings are correct.

However, you are right, Dortmund are selling their star players, and that is why they keep performing less every season, and sure, if they stop the business of selling their key players, they will go higher and even do what we don’t expect from them, as we can see they are doing well even now.
Yes, Dortmund have been quite fluid in their play this season in Bundesliga thus coming close to the top teams most of the time. This proves that the team still has abundant power in competitiveness despite they lose star players frequently in each season. Still, Dortmund can perform competitively and needs applause for the way they manage to maximise the existing players and make young talents they have. They now remain as how they adapt to competitiveness of the other teams like Bayer Leverkusen through the regular matches, cups, and leagues.

Therefore if in future, Dortmund is able to hold more of their star players then this means that a greater result is an open topic for this team. Perseverance from the leadership to young players and sustainability of long-term initiatives may bring them to the next level, within the domestic league, as well as European tournament. What they have done now is to show that with a little more solidity, Dortmund can become a far more dominant team and offer fans a nice surprise.

Dortmund is playing good football this season and trying to get the maximum contribution from each player. The point we all criticize is that Dortmund sells their key players at the end of every season. If they hadn't implemented this kind of transfer policy, they could have been a club that dominated the league for many years.

The fact that they are in the league race most of the time despite selling their important players shows how high quality the club is. I think they will be in a better position this season than they are now.

Maybe it's too early because there are still about 23 matches left. However, we see the opportunities, as well as the condition of the club's performance and also the opposing club as its main competitor, namely Bayern Munich. Bayern Munich, so far has been very consistent in the Bundesliga, always able to optimize their chances, have never even lost. and they are very on fire with the current conditions. I do not underestimate Leverkusen, but if you look at the conditions and opportunities, it seems that Bayern Munich has a greater chance of winning the Bundesliga this season.

Maybe Leverkusen needed to hire some other players to improve the team but they didn't do that and in the end, they couldn't get the same good result they had in the last season. Regardless of the performance of Leverkusen I think one reason for Leverkusen to have this bad performance is the better performance we see from Bayern Munich with Kompany, otherwise they could have the chance to show a much better performance this season.
However, the good thing about Leverkusen is they tried to stay stable and they didn't lose many players during the summer which made this team stay in the top position of the table.
Leverkusen are not playing badly, and I don't think they will use the January transfer window to strengthen their team. Personally, I think opponents in the Bundesliga have started to anticipate Xabi Alonso tactics this season, which is why they've drawn five games and Leipzig surprisingly ended Leverkusen unbeaten run. So far, Leverkusen have lost 13 points, and are 9 points behind Bayern Munchen, but their chances of retaining the trophy are still open considering the season is still very long.

On the other hand, Bayern Munchen have shown impressive performance by being unbeaten in 11 matches, Kompany seems to be able to restore Bayern Munchen dominance which was broken last season by Leverkusen. This is the season that Kane has been waiting for, he has long wanted to win a trophy in his career. Overall, although the standings are starting to form with a point difference, everything can change quickly. Regardless of all that, Xabi Alonso courage to stay and reject offers from several top European clubs is commendable, which is also the reason why most of Leverkusen players have not left.

Dortmund really always managed to get back into the top four or to finish in the Champions League zone, because as far as I remember if I'm not mistaken before it seemed like Dortmund was in seventh place. And also, at that  time I thought it was difficult for Dortmund to get back into the top four but yes, in reality it still looks easy for Dortmund to get back into the top four. The big win against Freiburg at least is proof that Dortmund still has good quality and  has never been a team that is really down, because Dortmund always managed to rise or recover in the same season. Thus, I think it is not surprising about Dortmund who always managed to have the best quality players in their squad. Currently, Dortmund only has a four-point gap with Eintracht Frankfurt who  is in second place.
Dortmund are one of the biggest club in the German Bundesliga and I think it's right for a big team to always try to carry the league or at least constantly qualifying for the Champions League. Dortmund performce this season has been a mixed performance making people to question them as a big club. Their win against Freiburg was a good win. Their general performance in the game was good and the result will be an important one for them as they aim to close gap on Eintracht Frankfurt. I think Dortmund will be a even stronger team if they stop the business of selling their best players to the highest bidder.
Dortmund have the desire to be champions but it seems they have a huge obstacle to doing so, previously they were always the toughest rivals of Munich before Leverkusen rose and became title contenders last season, their only weakness is that they continue to sell star players, but they will also not be able to survive in the league with a financial condition that has not been supportive so far, so I think they are in a fairly complex situation between be champions and the sustainability of the club so far, currently they are outside the big 4 zone, but the opportunity to still end the season in the UCL zone is still wide open, I think Nuri Sahin must be able to optimize their current squad to end the season in the UCL zone, because the opportunity to become champions has of course closed for them.

This Saturday in the German Bundesliga, we're going to experience the first Der Klassiker of the season which will see Borussia Dortmund host Bayern Munich. Vincent Kompany's Bayern Munich have been the best German club this season both in the domestic and European competitions and against a Borussia Dortmund that's not been convincing with their performances this season, I think many will go for a Bayern Munich win. That being said, we know Signal Iduna Park to be the fortress of Bayern Munich where they sometimes deliver surprising results so I'm asking if any of you think they can get a win against the league leaders? Bayern Munich is definitely going to be the champion this season. They are already ahead by quite some points and I don't think there is actually any direct competitor right now. The performance from almost every other team has been pretty bad compared to them and so far it looks like they are not going to have any good competition. At least they do not have that right now.

I don't think any team, Leverkusen, Dortmund or any other team will actually be able to compete with Bayern Munich in this season. By the way, they are also the only team which has a perfect record in the last five matches, with zero losses and nine wins.
Bayer is already 9 points behind Bayern, Dortmund is 10, so it seems to me that it will be impossible to close this gap given how Bayern plays in the Bundesliga. Their closest pursuer is Frankfurt, but they are also 6 points behind Bayern, and I think that Bayern will only increase their advantage from now. Bayern needs victories, the main tournaments are the Bundesliga and the Champions League, and they must cope with the first task.

Also, I don't see any incredible performance from Bayer Leverkusen that will convince me that they will get to the top of the position this season. Bayern Munich is stronger this season, and they are performing well. Moreover, 9points is a lot, so they will find it difficult to get to the top spot this season. I don't think Bayer Leverkusen will be able to defend the Bundesliga title this season with the way they are performing.

Although they won their last match with a lot of goals, what matters right now is their position in the table, and I think they will find it difficult to get that up because Bayern Munich is ready this season, and with the look of their performance, they will get the title this season.

Borussia Dortmund full strength football team will play next match against Bayern Munich and we are expecting good performance from that team  and that team performance is not bad but the stats is in the favour of Bayern Munich full strength football team . Borussia Dortmund team won 4 matches out of last 5 matches which is good performance and in the comparison ,the Bayern Munich team won 5 matches out of 5 matches . When we will be towards head to head performance of both teams then we will be in the side of Bayern Munich team because they won 3 matches out of 5 matches and there was 1 draw match and 1 lost . We saw last match of Dinamo Zagreb which they played against Dinamo Zagreb and they won this match one sided. Borussia Dortmund team did 3 goals in this match and performance was osum is this match .

Throughout the history of the Bundesliga, Leverkusen success in winning the trophy without being defeated is the most unexpected thing we have ever seen. Basically, in the Bundesliga, only Bayern Munich can be relied on, not to underestimate other contestants, but it is a fact. Leverkusen success last season was full of luck, Dortmund in the last decade has always failed to do so. This season, Leverkusen declining performance has made Bayern Munich dominate easily again, the dynamics of the competition seem to be back to normal. However, with the season still very long, of course there will be many surprises in the future. What is certain is that the Bundesliga has become more competitive over time.

You're right, to me what Leverkusen did was really impressive , it was something that wow left everyone in shock, because it's true what you say, they won the Bundesliga undefeated and to achieve that in Almenaia is because they really are monsters , I won't deny that when they lost the Europa League final I had a bad feeling, as if something didn't add up, or fit, and of course I understand that they want to play the best role of all in the UCL , but to this they have to add that they have to have balance, they are defending champions, it's no small thing, it must also be noted that Bayern is eventually flying.

In their last 5 meetings, Bayern Munich clearly has the upper hand and even if we look further into their meetings, Dortmund has lost more both as a home and away team, then it can be concluded that Bayern Munich has a bigger chance in the Der Klassiker match on Saturday. In my opinion as a bettor, considering Munich in the betting slip is not a bad choice or if still in doubt, choosing both teams to score is also a wise choice because we know that their goal productivity this season is very good.
Head 2 Heads never make sense, last season Leverkusen destroyed Bayern Munich when they faced each other, it was 3-0, if you looked at their H2H before the game you would say Bayern would win, but that wasn't the result. I am not saying that Bayern Munich will lose this game, of course they can win and of course they are the better team this season as well, there is no denying that but at the same time I would like to point out that we are talking about past games when we look at H2H so that doesn't seem like the most important or obvious part of the matchup.

I would say looking at how they played this season, basically getting their points per game, from start of the season until now, you can see that Bayern Munich played much better and Dortmund has been having a tough time all season long. This doesn't mean that we are seeing a guaranteed win for Bayern Munich neither, maybe they will lose, maybe there will be a draw, but I would say they are the favourites.

I use to see Dortmund as a very big team and always look up to them to be the team that will one day take the Bundesliga trophy from Bayern Munich and become winners. But all that never happened and Bayern Leverkusen who have not been the main contender all this years happen to be the one to beat Bayern Munich and win the Bundesliga. It was a big shame if I’m asked on their own side but it seems they don’t really care. Just after many complains of them selling their star players, they still continue on that path and are always ready to trade any player for the money ones there’s a big gain for them. I don’t think they can win trophies with this method. Players can’t get to blend well before they’re sold and then they bring in new ones again, which will make the whole process of them bending together another while stress and start over again. The UCL should not even be what they should focus on because I don’t see them having a chance there.
Dortmund should be able to focus more on chasing the Bundesliga trophy, because the competition is easier than in the Champions League. In the last two seasons, Dortmund have performed differently in the Champions League, and were lucky to reach the final last season. Currently, Dortmund seems to be setting the same priority, they are more impressive in the Champions League than the Bundesliga. The next match against Bayern Munich will certainly not be easy, and I don't think Dortmund will be able to stem the progress of Kompany squad.

Dortmund's management actually has a choice for their transfer policy, but their orientation may be more on short-term profits. So it is not surprising to see them release their star players at every transfer break, so they harm themselves when trying to win trophies. Leverkusen was lucky, and even recorded a historic success, becoming undefeated, breaking Bayern Munich dominance, and winning trophies that Dortmund could not.

Borrusia Dortmund has to win this game, they are too much behind and I do not see them getting a win out of this that easily, it doesn't look like they can afford to lose another three points. New manager Nuri Sahin has to do something and make his team win one way or another, its not about catching up to Bayern Munich and winning the league, that's already gone and won't happen, but Dortmund has to be within the top four so that they can go to UCL next season, which pays a lot of money to be just there, and if they lose this game they are putting their chances low. Obviously there are still a lot of games and they can recover from this loss, but it is better to get three points on the hardest game and then approach easier games with less pressure.

This is the match of the week that many people are looking forward to enjoying because their encounter is always interesting just like we have the El Classico of the Spanish La Liga between Barcelona and Real Madrid. Going by this season performance for Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munic, it is expected that Bayern Munic will win the match but Dortmund have shown exceptional strength at home this season which makes me doubt that they will surrender easily. A draw is not a possibility that one can rule out easily.

For the struggle for my title, Juda is very doubtful that Dortmund can defeat Bayern Munich, several times they lost their income so that they have not been destined to get the victory of Bayern Munich in speaking the title, then for the coming matches, Dortmund is not in good condition, lately- In the end they are inconsistent in winning the match, also now relatively lagging far behind by Bayer Munich who is experiencing a much better development than Dortmund, the completion of the points is also quite a lot for trips to the middle of this season.
Dortmund's performance this season is not much different from last season, some might even consider them worse now. They have lost 4 times in 11 matches. Of course the results are not good compared to last season which only lost 7 times throughout the season.
While currently Munich is undefeated in the Bundesliga. Dortmund's chances will not be good in this match, maybe the best result is a draw because clearly, the favorite of the match is Munich.

Bayern Munich has indeed once again shown its dominance in the Bundesliga this season with an impressive record, namely 11 unbeaten matches. The stability that has defined Bayern for years looks to be maintained further in the league. Borussia Dortmund on the other hand appears to struggle with sustaining good performance especially in the Bundesliga.
But while Dortmund's performance at home is less than impressive, they have in fact done better than Bayern in the Champions League this season. It goes to show that, in their own somewhat energy-sapping way of performing on the big stage, these guys have what it takes- quality and potential.

After playing in the Champions League, it often seems as though Dortmund cannot regain their best rhythm back in the Bundesliga. This is why they find it difficult to even compete with Bayern, when it comes to matching their level of consistency in the domestic league. However, that is not a team to be underestimated.
