Something has been going on really wrong with Frankfurt these days. Since the day they got destroyed by Leipzig in the DFB Pokal, things haven't been going well for them.  Sad  They even lost to Mainz home recently. These points losses are keeping them away from the title competition. It isn't easy to compete with title contenders like Bayern Munich and Leverkusen in the recent years. But Frankfurt made me hopeful for once.

Anyways, we are still halfway through the season. The most consistent one wins.  Smiley  Xabi Alonso is fighting hard for a back-to-back title after bringing the first ever one to Leverkusen in his first year. Will he be successful? It is up to how long Kompany's students will manage to keep this level.

Kompany is new to the business but that doesn't mean he can't be up to the level of coaches like Pep Guardiola, Ancelotti  or even Mourinho, he has made some mistakes but he's still on track to me. And for Kompany to last long as the manager of Bayern Munich I think winning the champions league will give him full ground at Bayern. For some coaches that started with with him like Lampard and Rooney (as ex footballers) I think Kompany is the best among them all, he just need to give the club something they have lost and that's the glory of Bundesliga, getting them that trophy is going to be a big win for him and I don't see the management sacking him.
As time goes by, his ability to coach a team will increase, and Bayern Munich is the place for Kompany to realize that, it is possible that in the future he will become a successful coach because if assessed, his current career with Bayern Munich is quite successful even though he has just become a coach. Regarding trophies, I think a realistic target for him is to get the Bundesliga title this season, that is enough for Kompany for now in improving his career.
Kompany has potentials all he needs is time to blend with his current role at Bayern. Predicting him winning the current championship league is way too much to expect I no he will definitely see how he is progressing with the team currently. On average he is not up to 1.5 years in his career which is barely 3years overall and he is doing this good then imagine what will happen if he has built enough experience over time.

I believe no one knows it all. It takes experimenting, trial and error, persistency and confidence to build a formidable team which I see the potential In kompany.

Kompany had great potential at Burnley but lots of people didn't believe he's right for the job at Bayern Munich based on the results he had a Burnley but he's currently proving us wrong, i think the squad he has is what makes the difference and if he had same squad at Burnley or even some quality attackers like Oliseh and Harry Kane I think he would've done better. Well, the good thing is that he has a good squad currently a squad that's far better than the one he had at Burnley and they're doing really fine, they're leading the table and had only lost once since the season began, Bayern Munich are the most likely to win the Bundesliga title, although Leverkusun is not giving up yet they're fighting so hard to close the gap and claim the title again. I believe that Kompany has the potential to win the league but I'm not very sure about the Champions League title, they might be in a good position but theirs tough challenge in that tournament for the trophy.

Kompany is a good coach and nobody saw those qualities in him, until he came to Bayern. There are also some ex-players that became a coach and they are doing pretty good. Look at Inzaghi and Xabi Alonso in their respective clubs, they both won their domestic leagues last season. I am happy to see Kompany doing great with his new clubs despite all the critics he had in the beginning, when he was appointed as Bayern coach.
The proof of Kompany's coaching quality at the current Bayern Munich team has made his critics at the beginning of the season quiet, because currently Bayern Munich is still quite solid at the top of the standings even though it is still not completely safe from being chased by other teams as its rivals this season. Likewise with the coaching of Inzaghi and Xabi Alonso, both of whom have also had quite brilliant results and have become history as proof that they are individuals who are able to make the team stronger. And for this season, maybe we will see a new surprise in Kompany with the Bayern Munich team in the Bundesliga competition.

I always supported getting away from Kompany decision but they didn't and somehow got him, which makes absolutely no sense to me why they did that, but his ppg is not good enough at all. In the end, at this summer, they will realize their mistake and will fire him, I am sure that will happen, I just do not know who they are going to get next. Kompany never had a good career, and for some reason he was hired anyways, never made sense considering his past, he didn't had the CV to deserve a Bayern Munich job and he somehow still got it. I am sure that with time we will see him go back to a team he deserves more.
It’s hard for me to criticize Kompany because I love it when former players transition to a managerial role. Kompany might not be the best coach in the world but that doesn’t mean that he will not succeed as Bayern Munich manager. I think with the quality of players at his disposal he will surely dominate the German Bundelisga for a very long time and also be able to fight for a trophy in European competitions.

It is very unfortunate that Bo Svensson served his term as Union Berlin manager only until the end of the year even though he was appointed as the new manager in July 2024, the club did not give him a chance until the end of the season and seeing the final result even though finding a coach in the middle of the season is very difficult, it requires adaptation again if it is not suitable it will make things worse I followed Union Berlin's journey a little this season and I saw their performance was quite good at the beginning of the season and even beat Dortmund but lately their performance has declined I think the players are starting to get tired.
The fact that Union Berlin is in 12th place and has only 17 points in 15 games is the reason for this. Union was one of the good teams in Germany in recent years, but they are far from their good old days. Maybe they can be better with a change of manager. I can understand them wanting to try this.
Union Berlin is a pretty good club if coached by the right coach Urs Fischer is Union Berlin's best manager since promotion to the Bundesliga in 2018, this club has achieved pretty good results, but since Urs Fischer left in 2023, Union Berlin has continued to change coaches and until now Union Berlin has not found a coach who is really suitable to restore their performance, even last season they were almost relegated because they experienced a very drastic decline, this season they may also have to fight hard to stay in the Bundesliga.
They went through a difficult time after the departure of Urs Fischer in 2023, Fischer managed to bring Union Berlin to the Bundesliga and even as a promotion team they were able to maintain a fairly good performance for several seasons including bringing their squad to European competitions in several seasons of coaching, significant changes have occurred in their performance after his departure, and even the frequent change of coaches actually creates an imbalance in performance and also their inconsistency in the Bundesliga at the moment, I think what is happening to Union Berlin at the moment cannot be separated from the karma after the dismissal of Fischer in 2023, I think with Union Berlin current position which is very bad and also the financial limitations they have, it will be very difficult for them to recruit a good coach and can restore their success in the Bundesliga.

That's football and maybe the team will experience defeat in an unnecessary way and the same as Bayern Munich who lost against Mainz at that time. Regardless of the big win that Bayern Munich got in another match, they must avoid something like that if they want to dominate the Bundesliga again. Leverkusen is increasingly showing the quality of a solid team and Bayern Munich must take them seriously this season because if left alone, it is not impossible that Leverkusen will defend the Bundesliga title for the second season.
Leverkusen doing their best to maintain their position in the Bundesliga such that they are going probably defend the trophy again this season, and if they do, it's going to be the second  time in a row and the first time for another team to win the league title twice in a row and the first time Munich is loosing two times in a row,  although it's looking like Bayern Munich is trying so hard to make sure  to they don't let that record come to reality.

Bayern Munich are currently on top and Leverkusen are following them closely. I think Bayern Munich, who continue to do well with Kompany this season, will not surrender the title easily. Leverkusen's pass based game has made them more and more decipherable. Especially this season Leverkusen seemed to be decoded. Realizing this, Xabi Alonso brought the team back into the race with critical wins in the last few weeks. But Bayern Munich are trying to get back to their old code this season. In my opinion, for the Bundesliga to be an enjoyable league, Bayern Munich's dominance of German football needs to diminish. That's why Leverkusen's wins in the league are of great importance.

Mistakes can happen to anyone, the most important thing is how they deal with them. So far, nothing bad has happened to Kompany, compared to Guardiola, who you mentioned, he had a few failures in the Champions League, but they will definitely get out of the group and they are doing well in the Bundesliga too. It is important for Kompany to win the Bundesliga, this is a title that will be important for the team, to get it back after an unsuccessful season, and if they manage to play well in the Champions League, then this will be a pleasant addition.

the match later will be very decisive for leverkusen who are ambitious to catch up with them from munich, although indeed facing dortmund is not an easy job, but I think with the consistency and performance possessed by leverkusen allows them to win 3 points at dortmund home later, especially in another match munchen will face gladbach which has often made it difficult for them, so it will indirectly motivate alonso squad to get win over dortmund in the match later.

Even though things are going well for Bayern, we can't deny that Xabi can make the difference. If he plays like they did last season, they can easily get to them, and this is what they should do to make the Bundesliga really good. Xabi has a team that has experience ,  they are Looking to stand out and why not look to win the UCL, but he has to put more love into the Bundesliga, I think they are concentrating much more on the UCL. Well, I understand them , Madrid does too The bad thing is that it is very difficult for them to recover in their local Leagues.
You spoke my mind, just like I iterated a while ago. I love as things played out in the Bundesliga, I don't just like the dominance of Bayern, and if it was not Bayern, it might be Dortmund then, but Leverkusen has distorted the order and it didn't only play the underdog as it did earlier, but it's now trying to hold the position of the worthy rival of almost equal strength. So I will not take the threat of Xabi's side lightly. If not for their low performance at the beginning of the tourney, they must have been leading or closer to Bayern. It's never too late though, the gap is just 4 points and if there's a better consistent club among the two, it's certainly Leverkusen.

We can say that they are doing well in the Champions League. They are playing better than Bayern Munich. They are currently in the top eight and will probably be ahead of Bayern Munich if they finish like this. Although there is only a one-point difference between them and Bayern Munich. If Bayer Leverkusen wins the last two games, they will not lose their place in the top eight, but the ranking can change at any time. Therefore, they should be careful in every game. If we talk about the Bundesliga, they could not show the expected performance, they started the year badly but they have been playing well in the last games.

In fact, it is very difficult to maintain what was achieved last season, now Leverkusen has lost 13 points since the start of the season with details of 5 draw and 1 loss. But so far they remain a threat to Munich who are trying to win back the Bundesliga trophy. I admit, Leverkusen's performance is not too bad, they are only 4 points behind Munich who are in first place. This competition will make the League more competitive, every match must be considered important because if Leverkusen loses points it will make the difference between the two even bigger.
Losing 13 points early in the season is indeed a bad thing, but they can quickly find the rhythm of the game that can bring them back to victory. Also they can still be said to be lucky, because at the same time Bayern Munich also lost 9 points from the matches they have played in the Bundesliga.
The distance of 4 points is not too far, so they still have a lot of opportunities to be able to reclaim the top of the standings, with the note that they must be able to play consistently and while hoping that Bayern Munich slips.
Losing points early in the season will not be a problem for Leverkusen as long as the current points gap is not too far. We see that the current points gap is not too far and only enough with 2 wins and 2 losses or 2 draws from Munich, Leverkusen can shift Munich's position. However, this is not too safe and as long as Leverkusen's performance is still very consistent and also still with Alonso, I am sure Leverkusen is still a very terrible threat to Munich. I hope this competition will continue until the end of the season to provide a very interesting sensation.

Not only in the Bundesliga that looks difficult to maintain what was achieved by a team last season, but in other Leagues too (except the French League) so that teams that have previously won must always assume that defending the title will not be easy enough because every season there is always quite different competition. And this season Munich itself still has pressure to stay at the top of the standings until the end of the season because Leverkusen will continue to improve its performance in order to get closer to Munich's points in the Bundesliga standings.

The decision comes at the right time. It is right before halftime of the season and Union Berlin was 4th in the table I think after 8 games. Now they dropped to 12th and didn't win a game in a very long time as Soonandwaite mentioned. If they decided to find the right moment to act, then it was now. They gave him two months or a bit more than that to fix the problems, but if he can't do it and the management knows that Union Berlin can do better than that, then sack him.

In the 2022-23 season, Union Berlin was in fourth place in the table. And this season, Union Berlin competed for the title. However, in the last season, we saw a bad decline in Union Berlin's performance. In the last season, Union Berlin was in 15th place in the table. This season too, Union Berlin is not able to do well. And now the Union Berlin management has decided to fire coach Bo Sevennson. I don't know if this is the right decision. I don't think that changing the coach will improve Union Berlin's performance. Along with changing the coach, the Berlin management should take the necessary steps to strengthen their squad. If the squad is not strong, I don't expect good performance from Union Berlin.

Grin haha oh my gosh this is hilarious, please be honest how well do you know the Bundesliga? You said that Union Berlin was competing for the title and I can tell you this is the funniest post I have read in a while. I follow the Bundesliga for many years now and this is why I post in this thread because I know a couple of things about it. If you have no idea what this league is about and which team is competing for the title or not, why bother posting here at all... Union never competed for the title and they won't be competing for the title.

You are now repeating what everyone else has already said, but the reasons are manifold. Though the coach is the first one who is going to get sacked, but behind the scenes arguments have been going on for a while whether the transfer decisions were bad and they were. Union Berlin has no striker anymore that scores consistently and since they let Sheraldo Becker go to Real Sociedad in 22/23 without making sure there is a good replacement for him, Union Berlin's offense was garbage.

Last season they scored 33 goals in 34 games and now they are on the way to be even worse. This begs the question whether sacking Bo Svensson was enough or whether other people in charge should have been fired, too.

Each team will certainly divide their priorities and no one will ignore one of them between the Bundesliga and the Champion League competition, of course Leverkusen wants to focus on both, although in the Champion League the competition is fiercer which makes Xabi Alonso have a little difficulty.
In the Bundesliga, Leverkusen is currently behind Bayern Munich in points because Leverkusen's performance was a little bad at the beginning of the season, but now Xabi has slowly managed to improve it and now they have returned to their top performance.

Visiting Dortmund's headquarters is certainly not an easy job, especially since we know that this season Dortmund is quite strong when playing at home, even Bayern Munich was unable to win there, so I think it will be the same with Leverkusen, maybe they can only get 1 point, apart from that, the competition with Bayern will continue to be fierce, especially now the two are only 3 points apart.
