Just comparing their positions also I think it is clear, that Augsburg has no chance of getting a good result, even if only for a draw. Because after all, so far this season the fact is that Augsburg has poor results for away games but great is, Augsburg still has goodresults for home games. Bayern Munich really need to win this coming match against Augsburg, they can't afford to lose the game because they are better than Augsburg statistically.
Bayern won their last four games against Augsburg, and this season, Bayern has been on form since the beginning of the season, and the team in general have the only ambition of winning trophies this season; therefore, considering how Bayern's Champions League performance is so far this season, they need to focus on Bundesliga.

Munich should have no problem continuing their unbeaten run so far in the Bundesliga. But as you say, football sometimes gives us surprises that we can't predict and that's very frustrating for us bettors.
The odds are certainly in Munich's favor, but Augsburg also managed to beat Dortmund and draw in their last 2 games, which will certainly give the team a boost of confidence.
I'd probably bet on Munich, but I'd like to see some more interesting odds first.

Nah man, Bayern actually played bad last season, at least for their high standards. 8 losses in 34 games is actually a lot for them. Sure, Leverkusen won by a landslide but Bayern was also beat by Stuttgart, don't forget that. But anyway, after situations like that, historically Bayern also came out much stronger and back on top right after. So them being back on top this season is not really surprising and 100% expected.
