Bayer Leverkusen deserve their position now, I've said many times in this topic that their Bundesliga win and title last season were just luck because other competing teams were not performing well. Now Bayern Munich is back to their top form, so don't be surprised if we don't see Bayer Leverkusen like last season again this season. There's no more chance for Leverkusen to even be in the top 3 at the end of the season.
Bayer Leverkusen still have opportunity to be on top 3 on this session, or even more be the champion to shifting Bayern and Leipzig on top. The competition is just beginning, many things will happen on next year. When I compare how Leverkusen start on previous session, they didn't play very well also, they still adaption with new atmosphere. So I think it's not a crucial situation, It's not impossible on middle of session Leverkusen will rise to shift 1st or 2nd positions. There is still winter windows transfer which they can do for repair their squad, because many other clubs aiming for leverkusen player like witz or other, so if leverkusen sell it and got profit, they can buy a new fresh player to filling up a new composition. Just simple like that.

Come on guys, you are are all talking like Leverkusen is the big power house in German football now. You do know that prior to last season Leverkusen had 2 titles right? They only won the UEFA cup in 1988 and the German cup in 1993. Last seasons success in Bundesliga and the cup basically doubled the number of titles they have.
So expecting them to perform on the same level as last year forever is not really the right season to do. See what happened to Leicester City in England for example. They had a miracle season in 15/16 and last season they were even in the 2nd tier in England but now came back to the premier league.
So, unless you work hard, get lucky with players and the competition doesn't stack of like crazy it's hard to maintain this kind of level. That's why expectations should also be adjusted accordingly I think.

Personally, I see the competition for the Bundesliga trophy this season will be tight, and not as usual. I mean, most likely the race for the trophy will be enlivened by several teams at once, usually we only see competition formed in two paths.
Of course, it turns out that it is not only about the trophy fight between Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen, but other clubs are also competing to be tight competitors for the trophy. especially at the beginning of the season, there are some old top clubs that are starting to rise again.

It's not just Muich and Leverksuen, but it's also about:
  • Dortmund
  • Leipzig
  • Frankfurt
  • Freiburg
  • Berlin

Obviously what Leverkusen did last season happens once a decade for a team of this level, if not less often. Bayern are looking very confident at the moment, only 6 games in and they share first place with Leipzig on points but are ahead of them on goals, but I'm sure they have a better chance than Leipzig on the long run, even though Bayern have to spend their energy on the Champions League too

The Bundesliga cannot just be dictated to be for one team now, most of the teams that are always triumphing here are not getting those consistent records as before and needs to start to be more serious if they really want to win the title. After the successful unbeaten run min the Bundesliga that was achieved by Bayern Leverkusen, it makes other teams more confident in their way of games and how to better position themselves for the position of the top team on the standings.

For Leipzig to be on the same position as Bayern Munich and not Bayern Leverkusen or Dortmund on that position, it means a lot if really happening in the Bundesliga and that’s because many teams have improved their gameplay and would be fighting for the top spot which they find seamless if they can just put in that effort required. Bayern Leverkusen did it and they prevailed, so no doubt that we can also is what every team will be feeling now and double up their performance.

Let's agree on less often! Cheesy Or maybe you are not wrong as there is a list on wikipedia. It does happen once in a while in the less prolific leagues in Europe, but in Germany it was the first time ever, unless we want to count Dresden in 1943 during the Nazi times. In England Arsenal did it in 2004 and guess what, before that it was Preston North End in 1889! Cheesy In Italy it actually happened 5 times in 110 years. In Spain it is almost 100 years ago when Real Madrid did it.

I am uncertain about Bayern right now as they have similar issues all the time. The ball possession is almost never a problem, but once they have got the ball, they don't know how to overcome the defense and they concede goals from teams that barely have the ball. Aston Villa scored a late one, not to mention Frankfurt. They score so many goals against weak opponents in games that are not unimportant, but not the real deal either. Aston Villa was a slap in the face and now against Barcelona the next slap could follow.

Leverkusen had two games that went all wrong. The game against Leipzig, which Leipzig won 3-2 away from home and then giving away the 2-0 lead against Kiel. But I think they have a very realistic chance to defend the title.

What you said could be true because I also had thoughts like that when Leverkusen experienced their first defeat this season. And from what you said, I think it is part of Leverkusen's strategy which is not too hasty to spend all the strength they currently have or to encourage every player to work hard and play as well as possible in order to win from the start of the season. Because it would be very fatal if towards the end of the season Leverkusen no longer has powerful ammunition to make themselves stronger and more consistent in winning matches because there are core players who are injured due to being pushed too hard since the start of the season.

Leverkusen they are trying to weigh their chances of winning and they don't want to waste to much energy because they are going to be risking a lot, and it is actually a very brilliant strategy they are trying to adopt and if it gets to a circumstance that they will not be able to win then at least they will be able, encouraging players matters a lot, at least they will be able to perform better with such little encouragement. And everyone is trying to work hard because no body actually wants to be a failure, Leverkusen had their season last season so this season is not going to be there's this season so at the end of the day everyone will be fine but Bayern looks like who have much or better chances of winning and that is exactly what  they want since it's been long they won, but Leverkusen will try everything they could.

Now Bayern Munich is back to their top form, so don't be surprised if we don't see Bayer Leverkusen like last season again this season. There's no more chance for Leverkusen to even be in the top 3 at the end of the season.

Bayern Munich should be able to return to the top of the table for its revival but it doesn't seem to be easy in the long run because some teams have adjusted and made quite good progress, so it is possible that in the current seasons it is very difficult to be at the top of the table without a threat behind them to catch up as now there are Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt who yesterday drew Bayern Munich with 3-3, it was a pretty terrible match because it could produce the same match above 2 goals.

Leverkusen has also been very difficult, even though I also supported Bayer Leverkusen from a few seasons ago because since Xabi Alonso brought Bayer Leverkusen did have a pretty good improvement, but for the time being I will seriously doubt that he will easily get a victory like last season.
Personally, I see the competition for the Bundesliga trophy this season will be tight, and not as usual. I mean, most likely the race for the trophy will be enlivened by several teams at once, usually we only see competition formed in two paths. Leverkusen was very lucky to be able to break Bayern Munchen dominance last season, instead of considering the success of Xabi Alonso squad as their lucky season, I tend to see it as a way to relieve boredom. We remember that for more than a decade Bayern Munchen has dominated it. Despite all that, Leverkusen still has the opportunity to catch up on the points in the upcoming matches, the teams that are currently in the top four of the standings should remain vigilant. Meanwhile, Leverkusen has only suffered one defeat in the Bundesliga so far, meaning they are not completely struggling, and are only 3 points behind the top team. The opportunity to top the standings is still very open, with quite a lot of matches left. Besides that, Xabi Alonso actually deserves praise, because he managed to lead Leverkusen to an impressive performance in the Champions League by achieving 2 wins.

Betting will have to wait another week because of the break, I think waiting for the games to get closer is a smarter move. Making assumptions from now isn't a smart decision, lets wait until the day of the games or maybe one day before if you want to bet, but not before, not right now. I mean why would I spend money on something at 11th, when I can do it on 19th? Rest is easy for me, while I agree Frankfurt and Leverkusen game could be tough, we have Leipzig beating Mainz, and Bayern against Stuttgart, and Dortmund against Pauli.

These are all looking like simple enough games and we can pass Leverkusen for this week and bet on the other three big clubs and hope for the best. Wouldn't be a huge return but would be good enough and I am sure they are going to do fine as well. I believe the worst thing about this current situation is we can't really see much return from anywhere else, usually doesn't end up being good odds. I think it will take a while.

Looking at H2H, Leverkusen will certainly be favored by bookmakers because they have managed to beat Frankfurt 4 times in the previous 5 meetings. But if we look at the current performance of both teams, they have equal performance and Frankfurt could hold the match to a draw. Currently, Frankfurt is in high spirits and confident in maintaining its position in the standings and Leverkusen also does not want to take a big risk to try to beat Frankfurt. So my prediction is that the match could also end in a draw like when Frankfurt played Munich and betting on the Asian total is a good choice.

Based on H2H from 7 meetings, Leverkusen was able to win 5 matches and the rest by Frankfurt. However, from the last 3 meetings, Frankfurt has never won when meeting Leverkusen with a fairly large score. Looking at the match against Bayern Munich, based on statistics, Vincent Kompany's team is much better than Frankfurt. Bayern dominated the match, but was a little careless in defense and 1 shot hit the goal post. In the match against Leverkusen, Frankfurt acted as the away team. Looking at the Stake site, Leverkusen is far superior. For now, Leverkusen with odds @1.43 and Frankfurt @6.60. It is clear that there is a gap between these two teams. What I consider and ask is, can Frankfurt score goals like when they played against Bayern Munich. Looking at their statistics, Dino Toppmoller's team has scored 14 goals in 6 matches, a narrow difference of two goals from Leverkusen. this is interesting to examine further, I will not speculate for now regarding the fight between these two teams. Moreover, there is still enough time for both teams to prepare their strategy, tactics and team fitness. I try to predict a little bit, this match will be dominated by Leverkusen.

Maybe Leverkusen slowed down at the beginning and picked up speed in the second half of the season. I think that's in line with their current situation with points not far from the top ranked Bundesliga teams. As long as their performance doesn't decline or they can defend well, there's no way they can't pick up speed to compete for the title at the end of the season.
My other guess is that when the transfer market reopens, they can add strength by bringing in some ammunition to strengthen what I said.
What you said could be true because I also had thoughts like that when Leverkusen experienced their first defeat this season. That might also be considered by them, due to what happened last season in which they were expecting to go with two trophies but they ended up going with only one which is the Bundesliga trophy. But losing on small teams or going on a draw with small things will be what will affect them in future of the season. We all know that there are now present in the Champions League, which they need to have more strength for them to be able to face their challenges, because all eyes are on them we are all expecting more from them. So to me I don’t think they will take been defeated as a strategy to maintain their strength for the end of  the season, because it not end up going the results they needed.

Frankfurt is not a guest that can be underestimated by Leverkusen, even in the standings Frankfurt can be better than Leverkusen. Indeed, their standings are close and it cannot be used as a benchmark that Frankfurt will be able to win, but it gives a picture that this match might be fierce. They also just held Bayern Munich to a draw with hard work, this can also be a very good capital for them before facing the team that has the status of defending champion. Leverkusen is also in very good condition, they have experienced a slight decline compared to last season. and maybe Frankfurt now understands the strengths of Leverkusen so they prepare a strategy that is ready to suppress it.
While I do understand Frankfurt has been good this season and Leverkusen is lower than Frankfurt on the standings as well, but at the same time Leverkusen is the recent champions, they should have some confidence on how they can beat Frankfurt.

There is a big difference between overestimating or underestimating your opponent vs overestimating or underestimating yourself. If you look at Frankfurt and say "we should be careful just in case" this would be fine, but if you look at Frankfurt and say "they are doing better than us, we may face a very tough game" then you are going to have your players not have the confidence they should, and look for a draw in this game and be happy to get one points out of a game they could get three points.

It's a fact and I start from there to base myself on the fact that things can be different when they are tried to be different, I have been a faithful follower of Xabi Alonso since he was in Madrid, from there he was trained by practically the best coaches, that's why I say, maybe right now Leverkusen is not giving it their all, but if they are as normal , they are in a place where it could be even more dangerous to fall, but as it is Xabi I think that he can give some good surprises later in the Bundesliga , it is his style.

Frankfurt is not a guest that can be underestimated by Leverkusen, even in the standings Frankfurt can be better than Leverkusen.
Frankfurt should be not underestimated in every game and about every team they are playing against.
For sure Leverkusen will be not doing that and in my opinion it will be hard for Frankfurt to play in Leverkusen and i go for Leverkusen on this match.
Its possible that Frankfurt maybe getting also a draw out of it specially after the Munich but Leverkusen will be the winner after that game.

When the situation and their position in the standings are like that, then they should still play with high aggressiveness because if not, it could be that the visitors will make a surprise. But indeed, because basically Bayer Leverkusen is the defending champion team this season and also,  their squad is not much different from last season including their coach too. Thus, Bayer Leverkusen should be able to play with great ambition like last season to be able to achieve good results in every match.

Maybe, I personally will still choose Bayer Leverkusen for bet in this match but, if there are good odds for Eintracht Frankfurt such as asian handicap +1.5 or maybe +2 with still good odds, I think I will choose that option. Because I am sure, even though Bayer Leverkusen might win this match, but it seems like the victory obtained will not happen  with a big score because I am sure Eintracht Frankfurt is able to provide a toughfight in this match, so I sure it is still not easy for Bayer Leverkusen to win.

This will be a difficult match to predict but in this match the bookie will definitely be in Leverkusen because after all playing home it will provide its own opportunities for Leverkusen so the bookie will prefer to make them a favorite,

I agree with what you say , Leverkusen's home-field condition is very strong and will make itself felt. Personally, I am a person who will always show that being "local" will be very beneficial for the team In addition , the FNS are that 12th player who can make the difference and that is something we see Of course, there are teams that are very concentrated and focused , they don't give importance to the insults and support that the other team has at home , but that already enters into the psychology that is in all the players I think that influences a lot and if there is someone who puts good energy into his team that would be Xabi Alonso.

Next next week we will watch the match between Frankfurt vs Leverkusen which I think is a match that is quite interesting to me, Leverkusen will be the host in this match, and I am quite curious about the results because from several previous matches as we saw that Frankfurt managed to make a draw when playing against Bayern Munich and so did Leverkusen who had the same result when playing against Bayern Munich, and if only in this match Frankfurt managed to go home with full points then I think this is a strong competitor team this season which will most likely also make the competition at the end of the season more difficult for Bayern Munich and Leverkusen. Previously Leverkusen managed to hold Bayern Munich to a draw when they played at the Allianz Arena, and with that I think it shouldn't be too difficult for Leverkusen to get full points in the match against Frankfurt at home.
Looking at H2H, Leverkusen will certainly be favored by bookmakers because they have managed to beat Frankfurt 4 times in the previous 5 meetings. But if we look at the current performance of both teams, they have equal performance and Frankfurt could hold the match to a draw. So my prediction is that the match could also end in a draw like when Frankfurt played Munich and betting on the Asian total is a good choice.

Frankfurt's performance has improved significantly; unlike last season, when Leverkusen capitalized on opportunities and defeated them back to back, Bayern Leverkusen's performance has declined; they are not doing well since they lost one game and drew another. So anything can happen in the game; their last game against Holstein, which they drew, was really surprising since I didn't anticipate Xavi Alonso to draw because the opponent was not in good condition, but they shocked the fans by drawing and sharing the points. I understand that Frankfurt cannot defeat Bayern Leverkusen, but they can draw the game because Leverkusen is playing at home and will not try to lose there game at home. Let see how the game will end up after coming back from international break. And there key players should come back in fit. because he will be hard to see some players are back without injured. That is why some coaches will lie that some of there key players are injured.

Currently, Leverkusen has experienced one defeat and two draws, in my opinion this is not part of the strategy. How can it be said that this is part of Leverkusen's strategy by not using all their strength and not wanting to rush when they are currently 3 points behind Bayern Munich in first place. In fact, I see it as dangerous for Leverkusen if they do not continue to improve to become better. I am worried that they will be like Leicester City, Leicester City once experienced a one-season miracle in 2016. If Leverkusen like this continues to be unable to maintain their consistency, I say Leverkusen will be like Leicester City.

Leverkusen's next match will be against a tough opponent, Eintracht Frankfurt. This is an important match for Leverkusen to immediately bounce back. If this match cannot get three points, I doubt Leverkusen can compete with Bayern Munich this season because they have lost their confidence.

This comparison isn’t even fitting if you ask me, we all know Leicester City did a Miracle by actually winning the league they had a 800/1 chance to win because they had actually just battled relegation then, but that wasn’t the case for Bayern Leverkusen even though they weren’t the favourite to win it last season but they had better chances or odds of winning it than Leicester. They were brilliant the season before their title winning season when Alonso took over after a poor start they missed out on champions league then with few points which actually made many fans to think that Alonso was building something extraordinary there although the league triumph and doing it unbeaten was a huge shock but they weren’t much of na underdog like Leicester city was.

This season they might have started a bit too poor than some would have thought but most people did know they wouldn’t get the Fair treatment with opponents like last season because everyone facing them will be on their toes to beat the champions. Even if they don’t win the league I see them been a contender till the end and also qualifying to the champions league something that’s different from Leicester City league defending season.

It seems both Bayern Munich and England national teams should be worried about their superstar player Harry Kane. Kane was one the most expensive players for Bayern Munich and they were trying so far to ask Tottenham to accept the offer and let Kane join Bayern Munich while they also paid too much money for this player and he had a good performance since he joined Bayern Munich. Even he is effective enough to say without Kane they can't have good performances and score goals like when they have this player on the team.
In the game between Greece and England was out and maybe this can be the reason so say he is still not ready and injured.
Kane got injured in the game against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Kane is one of the most valuable players in the team, he is a bit older and maybe he is in his most productive years. But it is very sad that he is injured, it is very bad for the career of such great footballers when they get injured in such times. I am sure he will be back on the field soon, as far as I know he has no serious injuries. I don't think the team will need him much in the international match, it would be good for him to rest Smiley
