I was actually disappointed at Bayern Munic for loosing to Mainz but as it is football, such things happens to male the sports interesting and full of surprises. On the other hand, I love the energy with which they bounced back by humiliating RB Leipzig with 5:0. This results shows that Bayern Munic losing to Mainz might actually be a mistake, although, it is a costly mistake. Bayern Munic have good opportunity to win the German Bundesliga this season even though they still have many teams to  contend with.
That's football and maybe the team will experience defeat in an unnecessary way and the same as Bayern Munich who lost against Mainz at that time. Regardless of the big win that Bayern Munich got in another match, they must avoid something like that if they want to dominate the Bundesliga again. Leverkusen is increasingly showing the quality of a solid team and Bayern Munich must take them seriously this season because if left alone, it is not impossible that Leverkusen will defend the Bundesliga title for the second season.

Well Bayern Munich is actually really doing so well that i really do admire their performance and that is why i didn't really feel disappointed when they lost their last game against Mainz because i felt they were later going to make up for it at the next game since they were literally in their best form this season, i knew it was just one of those losses that big teams do get to encounter in the cause of the season as they cannot completely win all the games they have got for the season, a loss or a draw will happen but the most important thing is it not stopping them from winning the trophy.

Mainz managed to stop Bayern Munich's record as an undefeated team for 3 consecutive matches. but as you said that when it's on the field then anything can happen. And what I like about Bayern Munich, they don't linger in defeat, where Bayern Munich immediately returns to the path of victory.
Despite whatever records Mainz might have had before meeting Bayern Munic, that is not supposed to stop Bayern Munich from collecting maximum points from them because both teams are in different level by rating and by everything. It only boil down to what I already said before which is that anything can happen in football and I guess what we saw are one of those surprises. The only take home is that Bayern Munic did not allow such a loss to weigh them down emotionally as they were able to get their "pound of flesh" from Leipzig.

The decision was taken in a hurry because Svensson has not been able to prove himself fully, at least let this 1 season run as he wants. Whether the results are bad or not as long as they are not relegated, then Union Berlin is allowed to take action to dismiss. However only 1/2 of the season running immediately replaced will only disrupt the format that is already running.

Union Berlin is currently experiencing a negative trend, they continue to experience consecutive defeats, even Union Berlin has not won even once in its last eight matches in the Bundesliga. Bo Sevensson failed to bring Union Berlin to the path of victory, he actually made Union Berlin's position even worse. So in my opinion the club's decision to terminate his contract with Bo Sevensson is a wise decision, because in order to reverse the negative trend experienced by Union Berlin, the team must make a significant change, and one of them is by changing the coach.

Comparison with Union Berlin performance last season looks not really bad because placed at 12th standings position than last season have fight at relegation zone, but unbelievable with Union Berlin performance after last two season success break to the top fourth standings and get qualify to UEFA Champion League.
In this season I doubt with Union Berlin have chance get raise to the top fourth standings position or secure one spot for qualifying to Champion League after inconsistent performance.

Latest update, Union Berlin have sacked their manager Bo Svensson after six months and waiting the replacement will success bring team to the top standings position?

Union Berlin's position is still not safe enough at the moment. What they need to do now is to get a new coach who can improve their team's game. Bo Svensson may not be a good fit for Union Berlin. He has not been able to give the best for the team with his abilities and if they want to rise in the remaining half of the season, the new coach will have a lot of hard work. Let's see who they will get as a replacement.

This season Union Berlin are very far from the expectations of being able to improve in the Bundesliga so their efforts in changing managers are actually a very reasonable thing because Union Berlin also want to see better changes in their team. However, for this season it seems that there is still time to make any changes in the team so that the position of a team like Union Berlin can be slightly lifted up even though it will still be quite difficult to reach important zones such as the top four. But Union Berlin still have to try in the second half of this season.

a very late coach sacking was announced today . union berlin sacks its coach Bo Svensson with immediate effect. the team of union berlin has already
not won 9 matches in a row and last lost against werder bremen with 1:4. it is not yet known who will be the new coach at union berlin.

I heard the news about Bo Svensson and is the best decision Union Berlin has done on this season, though it was a late sacked but is a commendable action from the management, from the first place Bo Svensson was not supposed to be given a chance in Union Berlin because he has not been coaching for long in Bundesliga and I think Union Berlin was his second club on the Bundesliga which resulted very poor for him because he was still a bit far behind, however who is going to be there new coach because Steffen Baumgart is not willing to be signed by the Union Berlin unless he is ready now and the team will be very anxious to meet there new coach now.
Svensson dismissal is actually quite surprising to us because he served as union coach for no less than 6 months, but it seems that the dismissal is one of the decisions that must be taken given their current very poor performance in the bundesliga, they are actually not a strong team in the league so far but since promotion to the bundesliga last 2018/19 season, they are quite consistent actually in mid-table but indeed in the last two seasons their performance has decreased dramatically including since being handled by Svensson, they has fired the coach at this time, but what I fear is that the change may also not have a positive impact on them if there is no improvement in the squad in January later, so far the union berlin coaching seat is empty  and I hope they will find the right coach soon.

Kompany is still doing a pretty good work in the Bundesliga.  Wink  Maybe that Mainz loss was unexpected but the way they made up for that was amazing. A 5-1 win over Leipzig even in a game that Kane doesn't score...

Maybe this is finally going to be Kane's season to win his first official trophy in his career. But there is a serious Leverkusen threat right behind. Let's see Xabi Alonso hunts Bayern Munich down once again.

Normally I would really wish that to happen. But thinking about Kane no, I can't.  Sad  I'm sad for him that he has 0 trophies in his career despite being one of the best strikers in the world.
Everyone knows that them losing against Mainz was not expected because there is no point that is shown that Mainz performed better than Bayern Munich. All that happened as a result of luck; that is why they were able to win the game, which was the first lost game for Bayern Munich. Although it is not still bad because there are 4 points ahead of their threat, which is Bayer Leverkusen, if Bayern Munich is more consistent in their performance, then this will be their best season to win the trophy. That means Kane will be able to raise his first trophy in his career because he deserves it, and we all know that because Kane's performance as a striker is already at the next level, he is doing his best.

The fact that Union Berlin is in 12th place and has only 17 points in 15 games is the reason for this. Union was one of the good teams in Germany in recent years, but they are far from their good old days. Maybe they can be better with a change of manager. I can understand them wanting to try this.

It is very unfortunate that Bo Svensson served his term as Union Berlin manager only until the end of the year even though he was appointed as the new manager in July 2024, the club did not give him a chance until the end of the season and seeing the final result even though finding a coach in the middle of the season is very difficult, it requires adaptation again if it is not suitable it will make things worse I followed Union Berlin's journey a little this season and I saw their performance was quite good at the beginning of the season and even beat Dortmund but lately their performance has declined I think the players are starting to get tired.

Bayern Munich's first position is shaking at the moment, given that Bayer Leverkusen is coming closer to them, although Bayern Munich is in a very good performance. Nobody has any doubt that while Bayer Leverkusen is not in their best performance compared to last season, they are still not doing badly in their matches, so this is why I think Bayern Munich should do better in their matches and win more matches to be able to secure their first position, and the chance of getting the title will be increased.
A team that always has passion and capacity when they come closer to a team that is leading the first position—that's how they will be shaking; why? Because their mind will never settle down in one place. We all know that Bayern Munich has had wonderful performances right from the beginning this season; by that time, Leverkusen was still in 5th position of the table. That's why a lot of people are having hope for Bayern that they can find the Bundesliga very easy to win this season.

However, I won’t call Mainz's success luck against Bayern Munich because Mainz really put in effort in that match, obviously, but although many people called that luck because Bayern Munich was the favorite to win the match, and I can’t really argue that, but to me it was not luck for Mainz to win that match; they played well.
Their last match against Mainz, they really deserve to win that match with much of the effort that they put into that match. They really prepare to come to win Bayern Munich, so I don't see any reason why some people are saying that Mainz had success luck; they are unaware that they are the ones that fight for their own success.

Leverkusen is in better shape but Borussia Dortmund has the advantage at Signal Iduna Park. In my opinion, Borussia Dortmund has the best fans in Germany by far. If they beat Bayer Leverkusen, they will do so thanks to that power. Otherwise, Leverkusen seems to be in better form right now. The match will be in the middle and both teams can win.

The fans population also contributes to the success of the team in some matches when they play at home. No doubt that Borussia Dortmund has one of the largest fan base in Germany and they are making good use of them to their advantage when they play at home.

Bayern Leverkusen happens to be in a more pretty form than Borussia Dortmund to me and they need to keep that consistency in this match also, so that they don’t fall from the second place they’re currently in on the table. Bayern Leverkusen will not find this match easy and neither will Dortmund too, so this match is going to played on an even level.
Yes you are right but I think it only applies to when two big teams face off, it usually works when a big team is playing a smaller team. And as for the upcoming Bundesliga match between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Leverkusen, both teams are a big clubs and are currently in a decent form. There is no favourites in the match, both teams will need to put an extra effort because that will be the decider.

I always supported getting away from Kompany decision but they didn't and somehow got him, which makes absolutely no sense to me why they did that, but his ppg is not good enough at all. In the end, at this summer, they will realize their mistake and will fire him, I am sure that will happen, I just do not know who they are going to get next. Kompany never had a good career, and for some reason he was hired anyways, never made sense considering his past, he didn't had the CV to deserve a Bayern Munich job and he somehow still got it. I am sure that with time we will see him go back to a team he deserves more.

Firing him? I doubt that. I mean if he manages to win a Bundesliga title for Bayern Munich this season, I don't think he would get sacked.  Smiley  Because it would technically be progress for them considering they lost the title to Leverkusen last season.

For example they had Tuchel before Kompany you know. Tuchel had a way better career than him including a Champions League title as well. But what happened to him? After failing to win the Bundesliga title previously, he got sacked right away.

The Bundesliga is like the most important tournament for this team obviously. As long as they have a winner manager they wouldn't be in a hurry to sack them just because of not winning a Champions League title or titles of other tournaments too in the same season.

The decision comes at the right time. It is right before halftime of the season and Union Berlin was 4th in the table I think after 8 games. Now they dropped to 12th and didn't win a game in a very long time as Soonandwaite mentioned. If they decided to find the right moment to act, then it was now. They gave him two months or a bit more than that to fix the problems, but if he can't do it and the management knows that Union Berlin can do better than that, then sack him.

Has a new coach been appointed already or what are the rumors until now? They have some time, but it's possible that they will present some interim coach. Whether that is the best way to go or not remains to be seen, but as it was said, it is not going to be easy for anyone who is going to take over.
Bo Sevennson was hire at the beginning of season he is expected can able to bringing Union Berlin to finish at the better place compared to last season but in fact the current position of Union Berlin is 12th place and they only have 7 gap points with the team from relegation zone so this is difficult situation because if Union Berlin unable to bounce back then not impossible they will playing at Bundesliga 2 next season

In the last 2 season Union Berlin condition is not really good even during those season Union have to change the managers several times and now they sack Bo Sevennson which this is risky too because there is no guarantee new manager will be able to bringing Union Berlin to performing well again and about Bo Sevennson replacement it says the management still look for new manager who willing to managed Union Berlin

In the 2022-23 season, Union Berlin was in fourth place in the table. And this season, Union Berlin competed for the title. However, in the last season, we saw a bad decline in Union Berlin's performance. In the last season, Union Berlin was in 15th place in the table. This season too, Union Berlin is not able to do well. And now the Union Berlin management has decided to fire coach Bo Sevennson. I don't know if this is the right decision. I don't think that changing the coach will improve Union Berlin's performance. Along with changing the coach, the Berlin management should take the necessary steps to strengthen their squad. If the squad is not strong, I don't expect good performance from Union Berlin.

The improvement in the Leverkusen team after a poor start this season is massive, Alonso was able to trace the fault and make quick decisions to make the team better, and the players cooperated because they also wanted their team to better than almost every team across the Europe including Bayern Munich who are just four points ahead of Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.
Dortmond is not serious again this season, they don’t have consistency in their performance this season, as a result of that, only Leverkusen is the tough competitor against Munich because the other teams are not too serious and are always not ready to improve the team’s .

Yea, Alonso has been able to retrace the team step by doing what he has to do to keep the team up and running, the team was revamped very fast because at the begining of the season Leverkusen performance was as if they weren't ready for the business for the season but all of a sudden they started winning matches, everything went back to normal like the other season, I think Alonso has to be given acolade for a great and good work done, with the recent performance of Alonso's team, I don't think Bayern will maintain the lead in the league standings till the end of the season because 4points difference is not a big deal and if we consider the inconsistency of Bayern, Leverkusen may surpass them in points soon to occupy the first position if they dont buckle up very fast.

Dortmund has always been like this, though things can still change in time coming but for now I don't really understand the team, as a team I think sometimes people should atleast be a bit sure of what may likely be your result in a particular match but in the case of dortmund everything seems very confusing, for Durmund, unless they improve then they can be among the major contenders, presently we have Leverkusen and Bayern but Leverkusen is my favourite.

The decision was made, the dismissal was due to his failure to prove his capacity as a coach. The management's patience reached its peak after Union had to admit Werder Bremen superiority with a landslide score of 4-1, a series of poor results achieved during his coaching made the club's top brass decide to fire Svensson from his position as head coach.
The decision is very realistic in my opinion, the club's top brass certainly want significant changes to turn things around, currently they have gone 8 games without a win, 5 losses and 4 draws.
