At first I thought they would give it easily (complete tasks), but we must to complete with all the data and our picture directly from webcam, and I canceled because I was worried about being used for crime.

$25 of XLM but you need to give all your details through KYC to be eligible? I'll pass.
-snip-

I wouldn't give away my personal dates for 25$ in Stellar either. It's certainly interesting for some people, but it's not interesting for me. I was against KYC from the beginning and that will certainly not change. I don't have anything to hide, but I don't send my personal data through the internet. There is already enough data collected about all of us, that has to be enough.  Smiley

Here is a better tip. Download the Brave browser, get an initial grant of about $20 in BAT, and tip your favorite site or that of a friend who is building their online presence. No Kyc needed to get the grant but note it needs to be tipped before it can be sold.

This is some kind of stupidity if you will submit your personal identification worth 25$ only. This is ridiculous actually, or it maybe to some people here are kind of insulting to them. Our personal information is very important matter actually, this shouldn't be give easily unless if you are going to receive a huge profit, that might a valid reason I guess.

Hi,

This is not the typical article about how to get money in which we have to do thousands of operations in order to get a few dollars.

The Blockchain page is giving away Stellar just for registering. But considering they give away about $40, it's worth it!

https://www.blockchain.com/en/getcrypto

Enjoy Wink

I've did the KYC since long time ago but the airdrop is not arrived yet.
What type of KYC should be qualified for getting this airdroip ?

I have completed all the data a few days ago and haven't earned $ 25 (not $40) worth Stellar in my wallet, hoping everything isn't a problem so this airdrop is really paying.

I haven't yet open the link that you had shared, But based on my review of these topic the majority opinion said thats its not $40 but $25. Before you could get your $25 they were asking you KYC, so its not good for me and also unto others. I dont want  to share my personal data for just small value or even how much it is.

I have already done the KYC and after one month of waiting time I got my $25 worth of stellar.

KYC is required to use their new feature "coin swap", I think giving away free crypto is their marketing strategy to get more customers.
Without KYC your annual swap limit is $1000 and with KYC your daily swap limit is $25.000

There's no way to get this easy. I've been trying to get $ 25 of that airdrop for months. There's still nothing coming. I've tried 4-5 different links but...

$25 or $40, I wouldn't sacrifice my personal identity for that amount. Also, if after so many months of waiting and still nothing gave you that particular amount, then think twice. It is not easy to give away $25 without favor in return. If they are testing the site or enhancing the platform, why not give free stellar coins instead?

For passing the KYC I need to send my documents and this will be  huge disappointment for me. 40$ is not right amount, as far as I know it was 25$ on blockchain.info twitter page.

Blockchain as been giving out $25 worth of xlm for each person that successfully passed their platform verification, I guess this is another way for Blockchain to advertise their wonderful platform, kudos to the team.
I don't think this is a good move. I do not like the fact that people created wallets just because they earned some 25 dollars. many people created dozens of wallets in order to get free coins just to sell them on the market right away. This is not good for the coin price

even if the airdrop were raise up to $ 40 instead of $ 25 i would not participate anyway because it is requested kyc, why requested kyc for 40 $?...

Should be quite obvious why KYC is required... to prevent people from claiming the airdrop multiple times and unlike other (crappy) airdrops, XLM is already being traded on exchanges so the ~25$ XLM could be swapped to fiat directly.
Without KYC, some people would just start creating fake-accounts, claiming the airdrop and selling it.
Thats why all good airdrops that are giving away real money / tokens with real value require KYC to protect themselves against multi-account abuse.

And as mentioned before, blockchain.com should be quite trustworthy so you aren't be "selling" your personal data.
For now I haven't received an answer regarding the question if they're storing the documents required for KYC or if they're deleting it after KYC is completed but as they're located in the EU I just requested a deletion of my data - just waiting for a confirmation from their side.
But imho this airdrop wouldn't work without KYC so a reward of about $25 is quite reasonable for verifying your blockchain.com account.

just what i thought , this xlm airdrop is still from the blockchain . i have done this before and i dont recieve anything on my blockchain account  . my account is already verfied  .  some guys say its about kyc but blockchain dont ask me a  kyc either before they present this free xlm  .

i have done this airdrop too many times but still no good   .  this was strange and this will cause blockchain to have a negative reputation since lots of people are complaining  .

I don't want to risk my identity for such a small amount. It doesn't worth to send documents to the unknown companies for getting XLM airdrop. Personal documents are personal and it can be used for illegal stuff.

Problem with some KYC is they might not go through and you end up wasting your time and even if it goes through then i will say 25$ worth is seriously not bad money since is airdrop and likely free if you look at it from a good perspective

Haha..yeah it may not be worth it but we should note that many of us have participated in so many different bounty programs and ICOs with KYC with sone nit paying us at all or ending up as scam. For blockchain wallet, we know they're "legit" and so our data may he safe there. Nevertheless you're right, your personal info is your personal info abd it should be private.
