We'll see how thoughtful u r. Rand is the good guy on this point and doing quite a lot to see that justice is done.

I dont say he is a bad guy.  I will vote for him actually.

But I think he will have hard time with the "insiders" seems like they stick together.

A little too early for polling. Winner might not be in the race yet.

That is my hope...Scott Walker all the way!
Dude, Walker has been heavily promoted by the establishment media to siphon conservative support from Paul and Cruz. Look at his fiscal record as Governor and you'll that spending went up year after year. That's the litmus test for a conservative republican vs your standard Romney/Bush type. That makes Walker an establishment type candidate but thrown into muddy the waters while being backed up by the likes of Fox News.

He's also the man that took his state from near bankruptcy to a surplus in the budget. He didn't get scared off by the union thugs and billions of dollars from out of state to have him recalled. It would be nice to have a STRONG leader that stands up for what's best no matter the repercussions to his personal career. That's a real man/leader. That's why he has my support (should he decide to run).
The same can be said for my Gov Snider that had over a billion dollars in a surplus, and while there was some responsible cuts, overall there's been a major pension tax increase that (raised lots of money) many retirees despise and for good reason. Furthermore, this surplus just vanished somehow and then they sicced us w/ a ballot initiative to raise the sales tax 16% which we just murdered. My point is that Walker (because of his good record dealing w/ the teacher unions like Christie) is being used by the insider money to throw him into this race because he is perceived as a good conservative yet he still has the same foreign and civil liberty policies as Bush and thus is initially stealing polling %s/supporters and money from other anti-establishment candidates like Paul and Cruz to a lesser extent.

A surplus in the budget means taxes are too high. Refund them.

Paul opposes granting Obama fast-track trade authority

Frustrated by being required to find his way to a private “dungeon” to read the Trans Pacific Partnership agreement, Rand Paul said Monday he is a “no vote” on a provision to allow President Obama to complete the deal on a fast track.

The Republican presidential candidate said in an interview in Manchester he will vote against granting Obama trade promotion authority, which limits Congress to only up or down votes on trade deals. A vote on “TPA” is expected as early as Tuesday on the Senate floor.

The Kentucky senator spent part of the day in New Hampshire before heading back to Washington for a late afternoon vote.

He held a town hall at the Londonderry Lions Club, an event that was at least partially overshadowed by a top New Hampshire staffer licking the camera lens of a pro-Democratic video tracker. The video of David Chesley quickly went viral on social media.

Paul told WMUR.com the Trans Pacific Partnership agreement “is being held under lock and key” by the Obama administration “because they’re afraid that if the public knows what we are going to vote on, that somehow that would destroy the republic.”

Members of Congress must go to office of the U.S. Trade Representative to see a copy of the agreement, but are not allowed to take notes, make copies or bring any members of their staffs.

“I’ve told leadership I’m a ‘no’ vote” on trade promotion authority, Paul said. “I’m hesitant to give blanket authority on stuff we haven’t seen. I’m not saying there wouldn’t be a time I could be for it, if I’d seen the trade agreement, and it’s fine,” Paul said.

“I still might vote for the trade agreement, but I hate giving up power. We give up so much power from Congress to the presidency, and with them being so secretive on the treaty, it just concerns me what’s in the treaty,” he said.

Anybody with the least bit of sanity knows Mauer is a nutjob.
I can't stand Maher, Stewart, all of them. Their jokes are not funny and CLEARLY biased against right winged groups. Some of the stuff they say is also very stupid and is not taking the entire thing into perspective.
I am for reporting both sides of the story but people like Bill Maher and Jon Stewart are just stupid and report nonsense.

Rand Releases Newest Edition of ‘The Waste Report’
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Rand Paul today released the newest edition to ‘The Waste Report.’ ‘The Waste Report’ is an ongoing project to catalog egregious examples of wasteful spending throughout the U.S. government. This week’s report uncovers thousands of taxpayer dollars of potential waste in the National Nuclear Security Agency (NNSA).

The newest edition of ‘The Waste Report’ can be found HERE or below.

Nuclear Waste: Department of Energy’s $13K Treadmills

The National Nuclear Security Agency (NNSA) of the Department of Energy put out a Name-Brand solicitation in February for five Woodway treadmills, with upgrades.[1] Woodway is luxury manufacturer of treadmills; the 4Frontmodel, which NNSA is seeking four of, retails for over $10,000, with upgrades (Personal Training Display Board, +10% incline and +2.5 mph top speed) adding $3,900 per-unit according to a Woodway pricing guide.[2]

The solicitation states that NNSA planned to “utilize the treadmills to qualify Federal Agents on the running requirements established by the NNSA …” The Federal Agents here are Nuclear Materials Couriers, who according to an NNSA recruiting brochure must pass a minimum standard in the 1-mile and a 40-yard dash run, every six months.[3] Perhaps the standard warranting such a high-end treadmill is the ability to outrun nuclear radiation in the event of an accident?

The solicitation indicates these treadmills will service approximately 500 Agents. By comparison Livestrong.comreports that the average Gold’s Gym has approximately 5000 members. They also report Anytime Fitness typically uses LifeFitness 93 or 95ti treadmills which run (no pun intended) around $4,000.[4]

The solicitation was automatically archived in March without being filled. But the question remains, why does the Department of Energy need the Cadillac of treadmills?

This is not the first time a federal agency has bought high-priced exercise equipment. Last month in a Senate Finance Committee hearing, it was revealed that the IRS spent bought $8000 stair climbers. [5]

Rand Paul Courts San Francisco’s Techies

It’s a beautiful Saturday afternoon in one of the most liberal cities in America, and Rand Paul — the Republican United States senator from Kentucky running for president — is talking about Snapchat.

“We use Snapchat more than anybody else out there,” he brags during a speech in San Francisco. The crowd loves it. It’s a Snapchat kind of crowd.

Paul is speaking from a concrete-floored South of Market coworking space, StartupHouse, that will soon become the campaign’s home in San Francisco. The audience is made up of more than a hundred Rand fans and at least a dozen reporters. One entire wall is covered in chalkboard paint and pink and blue handwritten messages. Startup-y miscellany clutters nearly every empty surface — papers, all manner of cords and chargers, one $4,400 check, uncashed. One guy is wearing a shirt that says “freelance developer.” Another has a laptop sticker that reads “I don’t believe the liberal agenda.” He’s livetweeting. The event is called — and, really, there is nothing else it could be called — Disrupting Democracy. It’s all very two point omg.

And it is certainly very new.

As Vincent Harris, a Paul staffer who sat near the back tweeting from the senator’s Twitter account, told BuzzFeed News, Paul’s campaign is the only one with a tech advisory board, a CTO, a digital strategist, and offices in both San Francisco and Austin, Texas. Another attendee, Matt Shupe, a thirtysomething political consultant, points out that it’s rare for a politician on either side of the aisle to treat California as anything other than an ATM, hosting free, open events such as this one.

Paul’s commitment to courting Silicon Valley is genuine, if a bit puzzling — California hasn’t gone red in a presidential contest since 1988, and as San Francisco Chronicle political columnist Carla Marinucci noted toward the end of the panel, “the tech community voted overwhelmingly for Barack Obama in the last election.” But Silicon Valley is nothing if not relentlessly optimistic in the face of mounting obstacles and historic reality. There’s a case to be made that liberal San Francisco’s backlash against the Google Busses and the Twitter tax breaks have served to alienate the tech community, and that, if pitched right, Paul’s particular brand of civil libertarianism could square with Silicon Valley’s iconoclastic ethos.
...
After the event — a clean 38 minutes, including opening remarks and a panel discussion — he was mobbed by people requesting selfies and autographs; one fan, a youngish guy in a corduroy blazer, chased the Senator about his startup, a voter engagement app. Think Rand Paul as VC. And then, he was out.

Paul picks up endorsements of 20 NH state reps

Rand Paul picked up the endorsements of 20 Republican state representatives for his presidential bid Monday.

The Kentucky senator said in an interview the support shows “New Hampshire is one of our best spots. We think the ‘leave-me-alone’ coalition is strong in New Hampshire, and right out of the gate, getting 19 state reps to support us is a big deal. We’re excited about where we’re starting.”

First reported by WMUR.com on Twitter, Paul’s campaign announced the endorsements as he held a town hall meeting in Londonderry.

Those supporting him are Reps. Laura Jones of Rochester, Dan McGuire of Epsom, Keith Ammon of New Boston, Keith Murphy and Bart Fromuth of Bedford, Christopher Adams of Brookline, Glen Aldrich of Gilford, Ralph Boehm of Litchfield, Eric Eastman and David Murotake of Nashua, Larry Gagne, Victoria Sullivan and Joe LaChance of Manchester, Joseph Hannon of Lee, Shem Kellogg of Plaistow, James McConnell of Keene, Jim Parison of New Ipswich, Eric Schleien of Hudson, Brian Seaworth of Pembroke and Nick Zaricki of Goffstown.

A Great Time to Start Something!
Rand Paul staffer licks liberal's camera, murmers softly, "this is a closed event"

A cameraman documenting Rand Paul's town hall event in Londonderry, New Hampshire, on Monday got more than he bargained for when one of Paul's staffers walked right up and licked his camera lens.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VOEU3W6PL8&feature=youtu.be
The culprit behind the "I licked it, so now it's mine" move was David Chesley, Rand Paul's political director in New Hampshire. The man behind the camera was from American Bridge 21st Century, a liberal super PAC that tracks Republican candidates. Chesley responded the way that any rational adult would: by licking the camera used to film the event.

That is one of the strangest things I've ever read, except for seeing a "crazy" libertarian talk about our elite leaders worshiping a 40 foot statue of an owl in the beautiful California countryside.  Cheesy
