Should i download the aeon sumo stack or correct something that im doing wrong?

Regards

Download latest version and run it. What GPU you have? If it's not R9, RX or Vega series it won't work.

version 2.2 solved the problem Smiley

Have an Sapphire rx580 nitro.

I downloaded the XMR-AEON-SUMO-STAK 2.0 and works getting 795 h/s Smiley

But with XMR-AEON-STAK-2.1-20171209-CUDA-9-win64-1.fee doens work the gpu and amd file is not generated..

The diference between both is huge or can i stay with sumo stak?

Hi folks,

I´m trying to use XMR-AEON-STAK 2.1 - Electroneum ETN for my sapphire radeon rx 580 nitro.

I downloaded the XMR-AEON-STAK-2.1-20171209-CUDA-9-win64-1.fee.zip . that is all in one right ? Smiley

I can make the cpu working using the xmr-stak.exe and editing the .config .

But i cant make the amd.txt file.

Any help how to use the Command Line Options and put the --amd FILE  Smiley or how to make th batch file that create the amd.txt

I tried to created something like this but probably is wrong :

----------------------------

/*

*GPU configuration. You should play around with intensity and worksize as the fastest settings will vary.
* index    - GPU index number usually starts from 0
*intensity - Number of parallel GPU threads (nothing to do with CPU threads)
*worksize - Number of local GPU threads (nothing to do with CPU threads)
*affine_to_cpu - This will affine the thread to a CPU. This can make a GPU miner play along nicer with a CPU miner.
*"gpu_threads_conf" :
*[
*{ "index" : 0, "intensity" : 1000, "worksize" : 8, "affine_to_cpu" : false },
*],
*/

"gpu_threads_conf" : [
// gpu: Ellesmere memory:0
// compute units: 36
{ "index" : 0,
"intensity" : 1000, "worksize" : 8,
"affine_to_cpu" : true,
},

],

/*

*Platform index. This will be 0 unless you have different OpenCL platform - eg. AMD and Intel.
*/
"platform_index" : 0,

-----------------

But gives me on error:

Hi Mattthev,

Thanks for response,

I start like you sugested, but in final it does not create the amd.txt that tutorial says. And give me the sames errors,

Only the cpu mining is working: Sad

I got this error in amd:

Hi all. I thought I'd try and do some CPU mining with a simple PC, for the experience.

I've downloaded the Linux miner from https://downloads.electroneum.com and right now it's synchronizing.

After the synchronization is done, I will create a wallet. I'm in the EU and I plan to join this pool: http://etnpool.ca

Is the miner program I downloaded (and is synchronizing) the same with what they offer under downloads?

I read the first post of this thread and it's too complicated for me. How do I join a damn pool? any pool? is my miner a "solo" miner? What are these apps like the "CPUMiner (forked by LucasJones & Wolf)" I see here and there? alternatives to the one I got?

Are there anywhere simple step-by-step instructions how to join a pool and mine electroneum?
You can't connect to unofficial pool with the miner. You need other miner like the one you mentioned or XMR-STAK, XMRig,...

Is it worth trying to mine some Electroneum with them?

They are Lenovo X1 Carbon G2 with i7. What do you think?
Well if you really don't care about them give ETN a try Wink

Using XMR Stak with a 1080. But the system becomes completely unusable when I turn it on, even with no CPU mining selected. Is there a way to lower intensity?

according to you, what is the best miner to use for gtx 1070? ccminer ? or there are others better?

I have a better hasharate with my 1070 than my 1080 is normal?

thank you
1070 uses GDDR5, 1080 uses GDDR5X it's not good for mining XMR, ETN, ETH,...
I prefer XMR-STAK, but I don't know what hashrate ccminer has on Cryptonote, but for other algos it's pretty great miner.

can you share your .bat?

please
For XMR-STAK 2.1? They are included in Indeed Miners build (cpu/nocpu) with additional tweaks. Everything is in the first post...
