Bitcoin has not reach it goal because many obstacleshas been hunting bitcoin on the way to success  and this made it to rise and fall often than none.  If it can stand the test of those day it will definitely stand the test of time

I think the purpose of bitcoin is to be a world currency reference for the future, bitcoin hasn't even been able to convince the government about binding regulations, but for widespread decentralization, I think bitcoin has succeeded and opened the minds of many people to be actively involved, I assume still 20% of all progress.

Bitcoin has not actually reached its goal as expected by maybe its founding fathers. It was supposed to be a currency as major means of exchange for goods and services.

Bitcoin has achieved many things over the past few years and deserves much praise for it but has not achieved its goal.

We can not estimate how much Bitcoin will be in 2022. Or even Bitcoin maybe will extinct in some following year. These just a guess. Therefore, I think there will not have any goal for Bitcoin. The best way for Bitcoin is to help people can make profits and make the variety environment to experiment.

You are right, as bitcoin grows I think it's goals haven't been reach and there are still a lot of room for improvements. Let's see if bitcoin can reach its goals in the next more years.

I'm not referring to the price of Bitcoin (we all know it's going to be $250,000/coin by 2022), but the goal that it would be a legitimate alternative to inflationary government fiat currencies.  When the altcoin market is examined, it is inextricably linked to the price of Bitcoin.  Where Bitcoin goes, so does the rest of the cryptocurrencies.  There's even somewhat of a dismissive attitude toward other crytpos in some investment circles; strangely this was a similar sentiment held by those "respectable" investors when Bitcoin was in its infancy.

What do you think?  I'd love to hear from some crytpo veterans.

I believe that the goal of bitcoin is much deeper than you think. Since the Creator invented the blockchain technology and bitcoin itself, he pursues the goal to organize a crypto society in which there should be no doubt in honest transactions, a society in which it is easy to manage the rules. Here is for example create crypto state, in which all citizens can earn.

The current state of bitcoin is far from its goal. Until bitcoin replaces the traditional banking system, its goal has not been achieved.

legitimate or approved by the government is not the goal of bitcoin. The main objective is to allow people to transact among themselves without these transactions being controlled by the government and banks. The aim is to enable monetary freedom. On a certain scale, bitcoin has reached its goal.

If in terms of Bitcoin serving rightful as the most convenient means of money transfer over the internet with middlemen like financial institutions then, i will say Bitcoin as partly might it goal. However, if we referring to using Bitcoin for investment, then i will say Bitcoin has met 95% of that goal.

I think the path of reaching the goal isn’t completed yet. Truly, BTC has totally changed our lives and the economics in many countries but there’s still much to do.

I believe this is a long process and it’s still going on. Probably there is no one & only goal, it’s more complicated. Bitcoin and the whole market still too young, so there is a long way to go. I think everything will be great in future.

Cryptocurrency life depends entirely on the request it receives, so if there is little or no request for a particular coin, there will be no life around it and it will soon be forgotten by people. Today there are still many people who want to get part of their bitcoin.

I think bitcoin has reached its goal. Bitcoin has been used as a payment tool even global companies accept it, then what else?

I believe the vision behind Satoshi Nakamoto was to create a way to help the people break the shackles of financial system. He wanted to people to regain their freedom back. This vision has somewhat been completed. Third World Countries are using the blockchain technology for a sustainable future.
