I stand with Ukraine.
~ Firstly, I'd like to tell anyone reading this, all gambling has is negative impact on your life. And no one could be in 100% in control of their emotions 100% of times. So, you are going to ruin it one day.
Beside ruining my savings, I can tell that my gambling disaster has helped me be more cautious about dividing my budget, use of my savings and diversifying my investment. I admit that I personally am not fully able to control my gambling habits so some portion of my earnings/savings now are directed towards crypto investment, FDs, Stocks and SIPs. If it were not for my gambling habits, I could have just saved them on my saving accounts. And with my plan of disaster control, I have more investment than my normal savings.
I'd definitely agree on this. You know, gambling is gambling, and once we developed some passion into it, our emotions will not be fully 100% in controlled anymore especially if we are given chances to win most often. That's why it's a good thing that you initiated some prevention first before you fall into gambling addiction, and by putting your money into some crypto investments, your profits might probably be higher than those you can gain from gambling in the future.

Well, that's also my future plan but this time, since my funds are not yet stable than it should be, then I just have to try gambling with an amount I can afford to lose, and just continue to gamble responsibly until I've come to earn sufficient funds to invest in the future.

Your gambling will not necessarily "ruin it one day". It's like saying that doing something risky you will definitely fail. It doesn't work like that, okay? You are more likely to lose, that's true, but your losing is never guaranteed. You can gamble for 40 years and still be in profit. Who knows in what period of time your losing everything is guaranteed? I personally think it is close to like a thousand years or so. That is not to say that you can be gambling recklessly. No. Irresponsible gambling will most likely have a negative impact on your life sooner than one can expect.

This is not a case of being addicted to gambling. There are people who are actually in control of their gambling habits or addiction. For instance, they do not gamble beyond their budget; they commit an hour or two to gambling per week or twice per week and strictly adhere to it, among all other things. We have heard and read stories here and out there about how gambling ruins lives, careers, relationships, throws people into debt and more. But my question is, could this be happening to everybody? Has your responsible gambling habit had any positive effects on your relationships with your spouse, kids, parents, and others? Has it improved your finances and helped you stay out of debt? Has it improved your mental health and well being in anyway? Has it been able to help you meet an urgent need? Let's discuss.

        -  I believe all you said. And no gambler, whether online or at a local casino, is ideal in this market. We all know this, and it's a good thing because the disaster that happened to you while gambling taught you to be more cautious as a casino player.

So I completely agree with you, mate. I hope that the other gamblers here will read what you mentioned anyhow, and that they will consider and recognize the negative effects that gaming has when it is utilized incorrectly or incorrectly.

I've responsibly gambled within my budget but wasted time doing so, I'd say its arguably an effect of spending too much playing games.  Like any game you could be playing it too much even if you dont gamble too much that could be a negative, you should by studying some proper subject not trying to guess the impossible outcome of a game even a horse race etc.

In my opinion, you can do whatever you want, bet on horses, play dice, whatever, just don't bet more than you can afford to lose. This is the key here, Not studying the game in order to improve your chances. You can study dice if it makes you feel happy, and although it's totally pointless, it's not harmful, as long as you don't bet too much.

As for "studying some proper subject" I absolutely agree with you. Most of your time should be spent on that. Gambling should be used for relaxation, but we're not supposed to be relaxing all the time.

Maybe it boost my mood from the entertainment I get from doing gambling. I don't stress myself on gambling games no more. I've been an addict before and it surely has a significant negative effects from my day to day life but today, I recovered and just plainly enjoying the gambling games one times a week or two. Using a little amount of cash and me trying to challenge and enjoy the games from casino makes me entertained for hours of doing gambling.
Gambling is always having negative impact on the life of the individual who have made themselves  useless or useful through the frequent usage of this app.It is not easy to be a gambler, without getting addicted to the stuff because of your regular point where you used to gamble is the Cassino hall, there is no way you can by any means get their and do something that's reasonable without gambling, reason being that he is already an addict to the game, and nomatter how he tries to draw himself away from the game,he is till being a catalyst of the game .

From what I've seen here, what you've done is a general topic. Having an addiction can happen to any of us if we allow it to happen to us. And if we let greed control us, At this point, we will really become addicted to gambling, and the chances are really high that careers, family relationships, and others will be damaged.

Now, did gambling help me when I needed it? My answer is that it helped, but it only happened to me once when I was really in financial need. Then,  all of a sudden, I gambled on crypto gambling, and that day I felt lucky and I won 158 dollars, so I immediately stopped gambling and immediately took out my winnings.

As for your other question, I didn't show my wife that I was gambling, even to my son; I kept it to myself because I knew no one else until now, so I rarely gamble because I do exist as a responsible gambler anyway.

For me, I would say there's actually positive changes on my personality and on my own family that took place when I decided to limit my gambling exposure and just gamble whenever I have spare money. I have saved more of my funds because I come to limit my losses as well, and my bonding with my family has improved because I have more time to spend with them than to focus most of my time chasing some profits in gambling.

My family know my involvement in the gambling for the period of 10 years, but they know I don’t use the money which we keep for the important expenses.Only I use the free money in the gambling, because If I had loss that free money in the gambling will not affect me in any way. Before start the game of the month,I will save for the entire month apart from the free money for the gambling itself.Waiting for the gambling to give me a luckiest big win for my future.I had some loss in the gambling, but I never blame the gambling site for the loss in the gambling site.

Don't chase your losses by betting big to get back the money you lost don't think of gambling as a way to make money, but rather as an enjoyable form of entertainment done in moderation. Set money and time limits for gambling and stick to them being greedy after winning is the worst idea. There is no guarantee that you will win consecutively for gambling so it is better to rest for a few days after winning the first time the losses will be less and it will be easier to learn the betting strategies next time.
However, most gamblers become greedy after winning because they see it as an opportunity to earn more money. They don't realize the bad things that could happen to them after they finish gambling and instead continue gambling even until their money runs out. They should not decide to continue gambling, especially after they have experienced many losses because that is not the way to continue gambling. That is why we really need self-control to be able to stop our gambling and to prevent greed from coming to us. We can also prevent gambling addiction, which will also come to us.

Finding balance between work/relationships/hobbies (i.e. gambling) is important for your wallet and mental health for sure. When you have no budget or limit then the highs and lows, the uncertainty, the constant chase when gambling – it wears down both the spirit and the body over time. I have fun with it when i take every loss as expected and every win as a bonus. I think the only way to keep gambling as a pleasure activity is to go in with no expectation - that way you're always winning haha

Yep, that's how it should be. They say, "what's entertaining with losing money?" Well, nothing if just throw them away or give it to someone who scams you. But if you play on decent sites, you can win big, you can $200 out of your 20 cents bet(happened to me once). And that's entertaining. Playing with that possibility, even though very improbable, is entertaining, innit?

Has it been able to help you meet an urgent need?
A straight answer will be yes as I have used profits made from gambling to meet up urgent needs. This happened few weeks back I placed a bet with a spares cash I had, although not with the intent that it must be a winner, that's why I used spare cash. Fortunately it turned out a winner and I made some little profit and as at the time of withdrawal the was an urgent and immediately the profit saved the day.

Talking about gambling responsibly, it's very important that you don't make gambling you primary source of income as this may be very harmful and damaging to your psychology, This is because when it becomes your primary source you give it your all and it will definitely turn an addiction unnoticed because you will think you are only trying to earn. Responsible gambling can be profitable and at times it's profit used to offset certain expenses especially those unplanned for. Remember 1. always use only spare cash which you can afford to lose for gamble, 2. Don't use gambling as your major source of income, 3. Do not borrow to gamble, lastly Gamble responsibly.
What you did is basically what every gambler should do because you won't have to lose a lot of money in gambling if you know the right time to stop gambling and one can only do that if they have enough patience and self-control. If you lose one day, feel disappointed because you have lost, but manage to win the other day and immediately withdraw the money without hesitation, you will not be at a loss since you lost yesterday but won the next day.

However, if you have lost one day, managed to win some the other day but didn't withdraw because you became greedy and wanted to win more on top of what you've lost, you will most probably lose what you have won so far and that isn't something good because you will now be in more loss.

When we become responsible gamblers, the impact may not be directly felt by our family or other people, but it has an impact on us, where we will be able to continue doing other activities besides gambling, and still be able to fulfill or pay for all the important things while still gamble according to a set budget, but can it improve the economy and also fulfill important needs? I don't think so because gambling should only be for fun, not to increase income, if it can change the economy, that's good, but of course, you have to be able to win fantastic amounts or have through a long period of gambling so that you can finally achieve that, but often gambling doesn't always go well.

That is a very good point that you have said. Not many know this but its true that we shouldn't have just one source of pleasure.
I got to understand this point few days back when I was watching one of the motivational videos on youtube.
They said that if we depend on one source for pleasure then our life becomes dependent on it and when we don't have it we become very sad or go to depression.
This holds true in gambling as well. If there's no other source of pleasure then we don't have money for gambling then our life becomes hell.
But if there are other sources of pleasure then we can rely on it and not being able to gamble doesn't bothers us much.
Having more sources of pleasure will make us want to seek or experience that pleasure from time to time so that later, our minds will not only think about gambling. And even our minds may no longer think about gambling because we have found some source of pleasure. In that way, we can hope that the pleasure we get from gambling may be replaced by other sources of pleasure so that it will reduce our time gambling. And when we don't have money, we won't borrow money to gamble but will prefer to do other things that don't require money and can even have fun.

Yes I agree, if we will not focus too much on gambling and give way to other things then it will less likely for us to be addicted and I think it is better that we have other pleasure or habits that we can do when we are bored so that when we don't have enough money to gamble still we get happy in other things, we just need to accept that gambling is not the only thing that give us happiness and money.

Casino tricks like this keep gamblers in awe. They depend on your enthusiasm and that voice that promises you the next big win is coming. They know the human mind is wired to seek losses and drawn to "what could be."

You talk of patience and self-control as treatments for gambling sickness, but the house is constantly watching. They encourage you to return for "one last try". "Just this once" is a deception that traps hopes and kills dreams.

Avoid the trap. Your prior victories will be exploited against you. Warning: you're playing on their land and under their rules. Win or lose, you lose in the big picture.

Nothing lasts forever
Picking up an alternative to leave a habit is a good way to go and in this case there are so many things that you can do as an alternative to reduce your gambling time.
I personally have my day job which consumes my entire day and this leaves me only the weekends to gamble.
Also, sometimes I binge watch movies, series, go out with friends and thus this makes me gamble only when I have time left for gambling on weekends.
Sometimes it is every weekend that I gamble and then there are times where I don't gamble for 2-3 weekends.
So we really need to have a good patience level and self control so that we can control our gambling habits.
That's the only thing we can do to leave old habits and start new habits so that we have less time to do old habits. And it's good if you have a day job that can take up your entire day so you can really leave behind your old habits to try to focus on your daily work. And if you only use the weekend to gamble, that's okay too because that's your choice. After all, you can gamble whenever you want. And yes, using your time for other things, as you mentioned, is also very beneficial because you can get pleasure apart from gambling. And that means you don't depend on gambling to get pleasure because you can do other things with your family and friends to get that pleasure. In this case, we must always have self-control so that gambling does not make us return to the casino too often.

That is a very good point that you have said. Not many know this but its true that we shouldn't have just one source of pleasure.
