I have been misled on a few events. It was some time before I became acquainted with that there are phony airdrops and where some request gifts. I sent eth to some without accepting anything consequently. In spite of the fact that, that was the point at which I was as yet a learner to digital currency. Likewise, you should be watchful with sends the spam your email and be cautious of not tapping on phishing locales.

Me - not (thank God) but it happened to my close friend, the buddy I know since we were small boys. He was scammed on Facebook. The better recommendation for everybody - be careful to contact strangers.

I was, once, by the "ICO". I haven't invested in ICOs since that happened. I don't understand why it's not controlled harder, many of the founders of scams are not punished at all and that's terrible.
Because it is a cryptocurrency. I think that all we can do is to be able to bypass the scams. Or I hope that in the future a community will be created, where only honest crypto-currencies will be located. This will help to filter tokens more rigidly, but again, people will do it, and therefore corruption is inevitable.

I almost got scammed on twitter by a fake account. Scammers are setting up fake accounts pretending to be other people/ICO's/Tokens. It's very tricky if you are not paying attention. Make sure you check spelling on all names to be correct. Be careful who you give your info to. Even if it's just your email address. Scammers will not stop scamming so watch out and pay close attention to what you are signing up for. Good Luck everyone and be safe!
.

I encounter so many campaigns that has my name "JoMarrah Iarim Dan" listed on facebook or telegram but with different facebook account, different telegram username and of course with different wallet address (MEW). I really hate those kind of people that are using others name just to earn. I am afraid that somebody accused me that I am using different wallet and names so the moment I saw that kind of thing happened again, I am sending a personal message to the manager or I do post in the thread with my right information.

I have recognized a pattern in their strategy that is common to everyone who cheats is that they will keep most of the coins under their names not necessarily under the title of founder and employee but rather advisory and future use and I have been almost deceived many times mostly convinced by what the owners of small companies say in their ICO

Some scams are easy to identify. I believe no one will take the initiative to contact you unless they are ulterior motives.

You shouldn't trust easily because people nowadays are into money. They uses different strategies for them to get what they want. Better to make a research about or gather information about that project or activity for you to be literate about that. There are so many people who are taking advantage through their knowledge so that you need to understand better the crypto world.

I can not say if this is scam or not. After registrating for an airdrop, they changed the ETH wallet and when the ICO's were to be released they changed the whole ETH wallet address and paid into the changed ones. That airdrop is a scam.

Probably there are no people at the forum who would not be deceived, especially recently there are a lot of scam projects, after the SEC integrated KYC, how does this process help people to invest in the right projects? I do not understand why we need the SEC?

being scammed is really hurt and makes us disappointed but we can prevent this by reading and learn more about crypto so we can reduce the chance to get scam. and if we don't know about something, we can find out in many sites so we can know the truth and the answer to our questions. maybe we cannot in that time but if we don't stop for searching, I am sure that we can find the answer in the other times.

Almost yes, has been yes. If we are involved in crypto, it is very possible to be scammed. I almost twice being scammed when joining the Bounty and investing in ICO. They were very useless and lost. Now, I can take some lessons from the scams and they make me more careful and patients in deciding which ICO or bounty I will participate.
I have been scammed too in altcoin campaigns and that is the reason why I am clinging now with bitcoin campaign. When I started here, I was first in bitcoin campaigns but when I noticed that trading can give you a lot more profit I changed into altcoin campaigns. It was going so well until airdrops entered here and I think that is when most altcoin campaigns became scams. I also think that it was also the time when spamming in forum posts ignites and serve as the reason for moderators to implement merit system. Now, altcoin campaigns are taking longer than before to give their rewards which makes it harder when you are depending on crypto income.

To notice the scam and legit project seems hard to identify for some project that manage by the manager who are long enough here seems everything they handle the campaigns are legit but there are instances that the obstacles of scam project will happen. It will be too late when you determined the project scam because it did not pay the price.
