if I can calculate in detail, how many losses I've experienced in gambling to date might be quite large compared to the profits gained from the games that I have won, therefore I cannot calculate to estimate the losses that I have experienced, of course the losses that I have experienced so far are big enough if they can be calculated from the beginning I gambled.
If you can do that, I think you will be sad if you can know that your losses will bigger than your winning. We will have a passion for recovering our losses so we can play longer than usual, and of course, we will spend more money to try to recover the lost. But if you don't calculate all your losses, then you don't think or never think about how much you lose, and you will still playing without calculating the loses.
That's much better, if you could continue enjoying and not to calculate those loses then proceeding will be easy and smooth, while in the other hands, if you calculate and learned that you have more losing than the amount of your winnings stress will start to remind you about those loses and you'll be finding yourself trying to recover back and instead of being contented you'll start being greedy and keep trying to win more.

Have you counted or estimate all your losses and thought what all your losses could you buy, do you sometimes stop and think on all of this.
I'm not a big gambler but I estimate I could already buy a good class mountain bike with all my losses, how about you?
I am the person who don't likely spend a lot in gambling so I think perhaps if I calculated it I could buy a single phone. I've only gamble once or twice half a month with a small amount so I don't think I have lost a huge amount of money. Besides, I am not using gambling to earn but rather use it only for entertainment.

2019 is about to end in a few days and its a good practice to go back to your accounts and see how much loses have you made and how much profits did you made as well. Its not going to take an hour to finish that even if you have a lot of transactions made in 2019. Whats important is for you to know if you are making money or you are losing it and yet you don't know it. How are you going to manage your finances if you don't even know how much are you making in a year.

I don't count my wins and loses in gambling. I'm not some big gambler, couple
dollars here and there, some fast game like crash or dices, or sports betting. I never
spend all money, sometimes I win some little amounts, and I don't have a reason to count it. I don't except much from gambling, it's just entertainment, I don't risk much so I can't win or lose a lot, there's no need for counting, there's a need for fun.

Yes. I also estimated my losses after i got home from a casino, especially if i lose a lot of money, so that i could if i gamble too much. It is also the reason why i only bring the only money that i need in gambling, so that it would not be a problem if i lose a lot of money and i already know how much money will i only lose.
Yes it is okay to calcuate the amount amount of money you are using when gambling, especially if you are begineer gambler, for you to know how to manage your money  and allocate it in different ways. In online casino it is okay to put even 1btc if you have but only bet little by little amount, do not put large amount at first bet because you might lose it.

It is easy to control in physical casino adopting your strategy to bring only limited money to casino but in online casino it is much harder to control ourselves as we have also our wallets online and if we continue without control then we can lose all our money till the end of our money or a big victory I think you have either not estimated your losses in online casino or you do not play in online casino.

Although I am not big gambler as well, but clear answer is never. I never calculate or estimate ever about loses for gambling. It's just not for gambling, even some on other platform like trading I have lost some but didn't calculate what was amount.

Also I believe most of gamblers not doing such as calculations. Because usually gamblers forgot about past when they win a quite big amount. And of course sometimes even loser could win big. So I think they also not wonder to calculate their loss.

In my opinion I don't think that a serious gambler will be able to count all the loses made,

Well, they do, they are serious that's they will count not only their winnings but their loses as well.

They will do an accounting of everything to determine if they are in profit or not because they treated gambling as  job or a business where their goal is to be profitable in the long run. I can say that based on experience but have failed my ambitious journey, now I just stop counting and just enjoy based on what I can afford to lose, it's not a big amount anyway, loss but have enjoyed at the same time.

very few people can actually do the accounting of their losses and wins in gambling. its too tedious to do so. if they do that kind of work, most of them are treating gambling as serious business.
so for me, just enjoy the moment because i really dont gamble so much nowadays. so theres no point of accounting the money that i lost and won. you are just wasting your time and effort on this regard!

Gambling is treated differently by different people and this is why some like to keep track of their losses and profits while for others who are playing it for fun, it is extremely wastage of time as you said. If gambling is a source of income and that too not only for you but for your family as well, then you do have to keep all records of profits and losses along with becoming vigilant about the strategies used.
I'd find it difficult when we consider gambling as a main source of income and for the family needs cause I can't imagine how it could sustain. If he/she always on track with their losses, it probably they'll notice that they spend a lot of money just for luck and even lose a lot more than the amount they won. I may have to respect those people but I'm just worry if they could manage to provide their necessities and to give a better life of their kids..
In this world, there are so many people who treat gambling as the main source of income and they get good income from it but as you said we are not sure about what going to happen. We are living in this world where new techniques are more applicable and useful so better keep your losses in mind and never spend too much to recover you're lost.

In my opinion I don't think that a serious gambler will be able to count all the loses made,  speculations might just be the case about how much that has been spent,  as for me I can't count my loses,  although I know it's huge,  likewise I can't count my winnings because I've got a couple of wins,  only the Winning  with huge amount that I can easily recall
A "serious" gambler can mean both an addicted money-burner or a diligent gambler who takes care of the bankroll management and plays accordingly. What you describe is the first one.

Although its debatable the second group of gamblers also exist. They would be calm and composed to not waste more than 10% of their bankroll and stop when they lose it without trying to chase the loss. This might seem difficult and it essentially is because one has to master their emotions to be able to do this. Moreover one who can do so would not be a gambler anymore. Wink

This depends on your own mindset like how you describe successful gamblers based on your own experiences. The thing is few people are indeed positive type of gamblers who stay calm under both scenarios i.e. whether they lose or win. They don’t lose patience nor become greedy. We cannot consider all winners diligent because yes some are there only for money and they become greedy with every win.
For sure if you are gaming so we will face win and lose but we should not make it ego problem or something else. We gamble because it is a way to have enjoyable earning. If you lose just try to learn from it make sure not to repeat your mistake and count the amount you lose and you win so it will help us to know is gambling good for us or not.

I don't play a lot in gambling sometimes I only play once a week sometimes not even once but surely if I start losing around 20dollars I know that I need to stop already.
And then I could try again some other time I think the money that I lost is just going to increase if I keep on playing so I stop playing as soon as I lose around that money.

20 might be really huge for you and you can only afford to risk this amount  .  that is good because you know your limitations  , whats more gooder is that you are only playing atleast once a week which means that you are free from becoming a gambling addict  but id like to know if you already remember if how many 20 usd you spend on your lifetime as gambler ? and what item you would like to buy with that total amount of  money   ?  i dont estimate or count my losses as a gambler but if i like to buy a thing i would have buy it first than prioritizing gambling and regret at the end  .

No, I never count my lost money by playing gambling. Because I know this money will never come back. Because in gambling, it is a very difficult task to bring back this money. So I never thought about it. But yes I try to prevent financial loss. I try to play with little money on gambling. However, I do not count my losses. Because if I count, anxiety will increase.

Thank you.

I consider the loss that I experienced as a price to pay, I do not do calculations to avoid anxiety, just like any other business that every calculation can only be managed when we can measure profitability that makes sense stably, there is nothing to regret as long as the mind is still calm in gambling, and most importantly, always play comfortably.

After a big loss that gave me a set back an year ago, since then I started counting my losses , my wins and even control my budget. I always set a budget before joining session and also have weekly budget dedicated to gambling. I also make sure not to exceed the budget , sometimes I do to get leverage but that is controlled too.

This is what I think ideally people should be doing it as many people are budget constraint and this is a good thing to note all the wins and losses and this also gives an estimate to people that how much losses if any incurred in gambling itself. Also have a budget for gambling as it can lured anyone, and people can go after it long way and also losing lot of money if people are not in control.

I also journalizing my gambling history, I keep doing that in order for me to monitor self. If you will do journalizing, you can know your win rate and lose rate. You will also going to have an idea if your money is growing or decreasing. There are gamblers who are not journalizing their gambling history and that is why they do not have improvement in terms of skills and diversification of their funds.
How do you mean by journalizing your gambling history. You mean documenting each time you wager in a spreadsheet?
I think if I would have written down each time I made a deposit on a gambling site it would make me go insane seeing all the money I have wasted all these years.
I probably could have afforded to buy a house with the funds withdrawn from my bank to transfer into crypto. Lips sealed
