After a big loss that gave me a set back an year ago, since then I started counting my losses , my wins and even control my budget. I always set a budget before joining session and also have weekly budget dedicated to gambling. I also make sure not to exceed the budget , sometimes I do to get leverage but that is controlled too.

This is what I think ideally people should be doing it as many people are budget constraint and this is a good thing to note all the wins and losses and this also gives an estimate to people that how much losses if any incurred in gambling itself. Also have a budget for gambling as it can lured anyone, and people can go after it long way and also losing lot of money if people are not in control.

I also journalizing my gambling history, I keep doing that in order for me to monitor self. If you will do journalizing, you can know your win rate and lose rate. You will also going to have an idea if your money is growing or decreasing. There are gamblers who are not journalizing their gambling history and that is why they do not have improvement in terms of skills and diversification of their funds.

maybe they will do at first when they are smarter and not addicted to the game mate,but when they are hooked?for sure they won't give a damn on their bettings because all they want is to play and seek for winnings9things that already given that hard to have)and besides it is not enjoyable when you see that the losses is too much higher than the time that you win lol.

Before I did counted all of my earnings when Im addicted playing by counting your losses or computing it can be trigger for you to play more and that's what happen to me so my losses grew before. But now I did not count my losses because I have plan and goal and Im happy because Im contented to what I do in gambling right now just not like before so better to forget your losses and keep playing with controlling yourself.

Perhaps, some of a serious gambler already count their losses, so they know how much money they lose. They can be wise in the next round, and they will think about how to prevent the other losses, although they cannot prevent it. I guess that if we can count how much we lose in gambling, we can see how big the money that we already use for just playing gambling. Besides that, we can compare how much money that we can win and lose, and if we become wise, we can limit the money that we use to play gambling.

Well, they do, they are serious that's they will count not only their winnings but their loses as well.

They will do an accounting of everything to determine if they are in profit or not because they treated gambling as job or a business where their goal is to be profitable in the long run. I can say that based on experience but have failed my ambitious journey, now I just stop counting and just enjoy based on what I can afford to lose, it's not a big amount anyway, loss but have enjoyed at the same time.

very few people can actually do the accounting of their losses and wins in gambling. its too tedious to do so. if they do that kind of work, most of them are treating gambling as serious business.
so for me, just enjoy the moment because i really dont gamble so much nowadays. so theres no point of accounting the money that i lost and won. you are just wasting your time and effort on this regard!

A "serious" gambler can mean both an addicted money-burner or a diligent gambler who takes care of the bankroll management and plays accordingly. What you describe is the first one.

This depends on your own mindset like how you describe successful gamblers based on your own experiences. The thing is few people are indeed positive type of gamblers who stay calm under both scenarios i.e. whether they lose or win. They don’t lose patience nor become greedy. We cannot consider all winners diligent because yes some are there only for money and they become greedy with every win.

Yeah, I've got it. What I'm trying to point out about 50/50 is the possible result in every bet we made either be winning or losing. But if we are new into gambling, it probably more of losing rather than winning.
But anyway, this is all about our chances, we lose in multiple times but we are still in gambling cause we know that it somehow gives satisfaction when played on it. The most important in here is that, we know our position and we know also our limitation and for that sake, we are able to control our self away from being addicted to it.

But if we are losses much money than the winning that we can get, that will make us think about how we can recover the losses and sometimes, that can attract us to play longer. We can get another loss, but we can not always win in gambling, so I think even if we count how much we lose and win, that can demotivate us and can make us play more and more.

The casino wins in the long run because the gambler does not stop playing and keep chasing losses. During this period the house edge gradually keeps taking a portion of the bankroll with every loss making the total loss bigger with every wrong bet.
