When I was new to the cryptocurrency market (in 2017), airdrops helped me greatly to get my hands on to some valuable coins and tokens. In most cases, I exchanged the airdropped coins and tokens to BTC or ETH. But then by 2018, the picture changed completely. Very few of the airdrops were turning out to be genuine, and on top of that the free required to move these tokens to the exchanges (in order to convert them to ETH or BTC) shot up by manytimes. In the end, I gave up participating in the airdrops, because it was turning out to be complete waste of time and effort.

Will be airdroping some of our tokens later on in the week after our presale is over. More or less of a bit of a bounty situation. Follow this thread to find out more.  https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.57120374

I personally really gave up on water drop because from what I was following nothing resulted in anything but a waste of time,
but it all came back to myself, for me personally I was giving up.

Airdrops have be a total waste of time for the pass three years but the sad part is it was really profitable just some few years ago but has been totally crap this past few years and I think the highesr have gotten was worth $2…. But CoinMarketCap has been doing some competition in form of airdrops… just answer some questions and get rewards which i think is more profitable now

There isn’t anything on the space, nothing, except scam, have you given up or do you still cope and looking for airdrop?

Airdrop participated: 20
Airdrop received to this day: 0
Yes, you heard me, nothing at all, not even one airdrop, that’s how red pilled the space.
I practically don't do them at all. The ratio of made and received is even greater than yours. In my opinion, this is a pointless waste of time. Better to take your time to learn something more important in life. Than helping someone to promote stupid projects.

If you find the right airdrop then you are lucky. It all depends on the project I generally donot participate in airdrops, but if I find an interesting one then I do not hesitate.

There have been few that I participated in the past that are very successful projects now and luckily I am still holding those tokens.

giving up on airdrops of course never happens because if I participate in the airdrop it will only work quietly and when they don't give the promised token distribution then I'm used to it, lots of airdrops are scam but not all airdrops are scam, some are still good and can give very high yields.
of course what you say is already well known to many people, but it is only natural that many airdrops become scams because work activities are not too big. while the bounty which is real and it takes time, there are still a lot of scams, especially with airdrops.

but not always all will always not pay but familiarize yourself that following the aridrop can certainly not pay off, is very important too, so that there is no excessive disappointment.

once again it is not always what is bad it will definitely not pay off and there are still many who can pay properly and it is a thing of unexpected luck.

So far, I've taken part in a number of airdrop campaigns. I've only got shitcoin payments from a couple of campaigns. However, I've heard that UNI airdrops have paid out well for many people. I'm not sure if it's true because I didn't get it myself.

A lot of depends from the project. Now gaming NFT projects attract a lot of attention and their airdrops are very popular. Just see the results of this airdrop https://twitter.com/spacegrime/status/1396545308809601025 and you can see how popular gaming airdrops and how many users they have.

The popularity of CryptoKitties attracted a lot of gamers to the cryptocurrency. NFT are so popular in gaming industry because they allow not only spend money but also earn money too.

CryptoKitties was very popular, becaused they allowed to earn a lot of money on buying and selling NFT tokens. One of the virtual cats of CryptoKitties  was sold at auction for $140,000 on  May 12, 2018. That is why NFT games now so popular and a lot of people participate in airdrops of NFT games.

If you join telegram airdrop, most of them are scam.
Try to search a good one, usually its when a project want to launch its product ( when the purpose is like app testing, or beta testing, or gathering community).
I get some good airdrop from Trust Wallet, SafePal, Origin, Blockstack, etc.

I thought bad luck had come to you if no one pays you while participating in the airdrop program. because not everyone has bad luck like you. and I am sure many forum users have participated in various airdrops here and I am also sure that 80% of the airdrops they have participated in have paid them.

I can confirm that I have received a very low percentage of airdrops in which I participated voluntarily, but I was stupid of some of them and therefore I advise you not to give up because one is enough to find a small capital for free.
Yes, basically giving up is not a good choice for anyone because while you can still try, why not continue, regarding the scam, it is a challenge for everyone in terms of researching it in order to find the best among the good.

I only participate in legit airdrops or like announce airdrops, but if you will tell me to join airdrops that is clearly a scam or just gathering information from a person for data gathering I'll just pass, what do I mean for legit airdrop, these are coins who run airdrops, for example, uni swap when they first launch all who trades will be given few uni swap coins because if you waste time on clearly scam coins, the time you spend will just go to waste.

There are some airdrops that are still very valuable, but now most of them are worthless, and very hard to make money, So I gave up and had to find a good project to follow so I didn't lose the time I spent.

If you consider most Airdrops to be worthless, it means that you can conclude that all Airdrops are no longer valuable except for Airdrops with certain support, and for the actual project too, because not all projects can be successful now.
Yes I think that applies to airdrops as well as projects,
It's not easy to make a project successful because it takes a lot of effort,
besides that, of course there must be a good team because that also affects the success or failure of a project

You will hardly see any airdrops these days that are worth the effort. Any strong team would be better off keeping the coins and running a successful ICO or IDO instead of dropping the coins for free. It used to be interesting a few years ago, but not anymore.
There are still projects who do really mind on making out some airdrops and doesnt mind if they would really be giving out free coins in the public but considering on the amount that they are giving
then it wouldnt really be much of an issue if they allocate some budget for that since airdrop is one of the ways when it comes to exposure or simply marketing so excluding it out
wont really be that easily to be removed. For airdrop hunters out there then it isnt bad to join up as long it doesnt really cost you something like make out some simple deposits
as these things should be totally free and also those kyc-asking airdrops is such a bullshit.

In my opinion, there are still good airdrops right now but few so it must be hard to find a legitimate ones. I am not taking part of airdrops now because there are lots of airdrop scams spreading which will just waste your time but if you don’t mind it in a bit for wasting a little of your time for small airdrop, you can find a gold airdrop someday for sure believe it just keep moving forward.

I would rephrase this post and ask: "Have you ever received any VALUABLE airdrop?", perhaps some people who got the Bitcoin cash distribution, if that qualifies as an airdrop at all, could answer yes. But may of the Ethereum "flavours and colors" airdrops were not worth a wei an unit.

Airdrops have been massively missused and now people just don´t believe in these.

Airdrop a good way to create communty and attract people to the project. https://twitter.com/SafeSpaceCrypto/status/1391802924326662148 Such kinds of airdrops with Tesla at 20 MC & a Porsche Taycan at 50 MC attracts a lot of attention. See how many twits and retwits. Please check. That is why airdrops are popular. Because it is a chance to win.

SafeSpaceCrypto is a liquidity pool and for liquidity pool is necessary to have a lot of users Tesla at 20 MC & a Porsche Taycan at 50 MC is a good way to attract attention to the project. But it is necessary to pay this prices that people will start to trust this project.

To get  Tesla at 20 MC & a Porsche Taycan at 50 MC it is necessary to buy and hold minimum 20B $SAFESPACE for $250. But I like the idea to attract attention to the project.

I always believed that airdrops are done to promote liquidity of tokens and hopefully get it into more hands, but recently airdrops have not been economically viable, i am even surprised the projects still do airdrops because unless the tokens are airdroped into an exchange account, the participants wouldn't be able to sell them due to the high transaction fees, so there is no point
