If not treated and just wait for help from God, the person will die. I feel sorry for people who believe in miracles, and draw pleas for help to God. Religion and health are incompatible. It will tell you any doctor.
Except, of course, for the many who died from the treatment of the medical. And except, of course, for the many who have lived but the doctor doesn't know why or how.
Yes, medicine is also unable to cure everything. I think it is necessary to combine faith in God and medicine for a more productive result.
Precisely! And here is why.
Faith in God would be enough to cure. It would be enough to do everything else, as well. It would be enough to even do things like telepathy, telekinesis, teleportation, and literal creation. The great problem is, we just don't have enough faith.
Everything is held in place by the faith of God. God's faith is so strong, that it is actually knowledge, and not simple faith in the sense of our understanding of faith. God's faith is in the things of the world, in nutrition, and in medicine. When we believe God enough to partake of nutrition and medicine properly, the healing faith of God that is built into everything is imparted to us.
Often healing is imparted to us through placebo effect. We may not understand or realize that placebo effect is combining God's strong faith with our weak faith, but that is what often happens. And,
it might really be the only thing that happens.Probably, one of the main reasons that we have our lives on earth is to bring us towards the faith of God, our Parent. Why would we need a body to do things if we had enough faith to simply will something to be done? We wouldn't.
But we don't have that kind of faith. Our bodies and minds are things that were originally designed by God to bring us into greater faith. They were originally tools for building faith by using the faith of God (that He placed in nature) to allow us to do things (using our bodies) that we couldn't do as spirits without bodies. Why couldn't we do them without having a body to perform the acts? Because we don't have enough faith.
So, medicine, nutrition, and faith work together to make healing and health happen.
This is why Jesus instituted the sacraments of Baptism and The Lord's Supper. They are the physical part we need to make our faith in salvation work... or at least work better. And this is why James in the Bible says to apply and anoint with oil to help the sick person get well.
Faith is as effective as blood letting.
Ignorant as usual. Don't you realize that people who give blood actually become healthier because of it?
Wanting to survive is a different story as it helps to flush the system with hormones that help you fight the sickness.
What?! All people want to survive. That's why they don't commit suicide... not because they can't find a way to die. Hormones are continually flushing throughout the system.
Believing in afterlife is lunacy. All after life cults are just bat shit crazy.
There is not even one case when someone was brain dead for few hours and came back to life.
It is scientifically impossible for life to exist, except that it is here. God has been scientifically proven to exist. The Bible is impossible to exist without the supernatural help of God. So, since God made the Bible, what He says is truth. He talks about resurrection being real, though not immediate. Like as life is made possible by God, so He can make resurrection possible.
BADecker try it, shoot yourself with a .308, don't go to hospital, die and see if you come back to life.
Or better yet, nursing homes are full of dying people, volunteer in one, go and talk to dying people and ask them to come back to life
after they die. Not one will.
But they will all come back to life at the last day, in the resurrection, before the judgment. God said it. Believe God.
Cell dying is an irreversible process. You cannot jump start cell operations because the physical damage has been done.
Unless we invent nano technology to reverse cell dying process, when you die, you simply die. End of story.
We can't form life in the first place. We might be able to manipulate life that is here somewhat. A time might come in which we are able to manipulate dead cells with nano technology to bring them back to life. But it is God Who makes life, and will make the resurrection.
Your whole speaking throughout this forum seems to be filled with despair.
