So what do I do if I want to upgrade my order to DHL Express. I have an account on the old homepage.
Do I just place a new order with only the DHL Express upgrade in it?

How high do you estimate the tax for the import to be Germany?
I expect a 19% import tax and customs charges around 4-18%.
Does anyone possibly like the ASIC miners are classified by Customs?
19% import tax and no custom charges (there is no custom fee on processors or integrated circuits).

Linux since 1997 RedHat 4
I'll jump on the DHL bandwagon and try get the customs thing sorted quickly,
my fpga sat at customs for 4 days while we screwed around :/
Odd, everything I've got from overseas BTC wise so far has come straight to me.

Though, in all 4 cases it has been sent with EMS.
Two from mainland-China, one from Hong Kong and one from New York.

(however, as I've mentioned elsewhere, many courier companies that deliver to Sydney/Aus take the item to the post office and leave a card in your letterbox that tells you to go get it from the post office)

I'll have to find the labels to see what was written on each one ...

I wonder if anyone has tried to pay BTC to the government for their taxes on a purchase made with and invoiced as BTC

I think that price on invoice will be listed also in USD or other "regular" currency, otherwise it did not pass through customs.

I think they have no idea what is ASIC or Bitcoin, they will handle with it as with regular computer hardware.

EDIT:

For example this one would be suitable:

Processors and controllers, whether or not combined with memories, converters, logic circuits, amplifiers, clock and timing circuits, or other circuits

You've got to check for yourself if it applys.

I'm so close to the shipping origin AFAIK (NY right?) that I'm going to stick with the normal shipping option.  Should only take 1-2 days I think to the Northeast.

DHL is indeed the best but they will for sure check your package so you can pay import taxes Tongue Wink (assuming they ship from US to EU)

Buy this account on March-2019. New Owner here!!
I have other online businesses and have shipped many things to nearly every continent.

DHL Express International is your very best option. There is no option that will be better.

One of the things that makes DHL express international a good option is for many countries they actually have customs agents on the planes that work on clearing items while they are still in the air.

Certain countries like Germany are very suspicious of packages coming from the USA, other countries like those in south America and asia its just a very long process when going through USPS because they hand it over to the local postal service which does not give two shits about USPS priority / express or anything else, it gets thrown in a pile with everything else and they will get to it , when they get to it.

DHL has their own customs departments in many countries and they do not hand them off to anyone else, it stays with them from pickup to delivery.

If you live in the USA it probably does not make sense to do the upgrade, maybe even Canada, if you see any quicker service at all it will be minimal but for those outside US/Canada you will see a HUGE difference in delivery time by using DHL Express International

Due to requests by numerous customers I added DHL Express Shipping to btcfpga.com

It costs $60.00 make sure you login to the same account you used to purchase our miners with

It has been added to make things fair for international customers - some countries in the EU for example it can take weeks to months to get a USPS package through customs.

If are domestic you are welcome to puchase this as well if you want but it will only get it there 1-2 days quicker than Priority mail which you already paid for.

Also if you buy the DHL you will not be refunded the $30 you originally paid. I made the price only $60 because I already took into account the $30 you have already paid.

Ill BBL but am reachable by phone

What should I do about an order placed using guest checkout?

Would it be safe to assume that for $90 with DHL I can expect next day delivery to the UK?
Based on experience with my main business, no. Particularly if it gets held up by Customs.

I know UPS offer a service on their express packages whereby you can pay in advance for any customs fees (they take a copy of the invoice from the merchant when picking up the package and use that) and the package clears customs in minutes.
