Price will go up again and that is almost guaranteed because we can see from the past history prices that the bitcoin market is going down but after a few months, it is going up again for new all time highs and the only difference from the price right now is only a few and we just need to have a lot of patience.

Because you'll definitely regret it when you sell it right before it pumps so hard. I remember I also have Verge; I bought it at a reasonable price, then I was so impatient. I think Holder has more thoughts about forgetting the assets he owns,while investing is more inclined to profits and losses when market values are volatile.The verge that you're talking about is the same altcoin in the market dude and at the same time your altcoin receiver places another place to push and that is normal 
. 
Users who made an investment in the recent days when the price of each and every cryptocurrency fell low could now sell and buy back once again when the price increases. While at the same time it is good to keep hold of the assets if it is bought when the price was at the peak value.

I think that every project needs to be approached individually. Each project is unique. There are coins that I will keep for several years. But there are also coins that I will sell immediately without thinking.
Not every coin worth holding, while some are very good for longterm. I have also learnt my lessons. I first study any coin before investing into it. Do jot also sell hastily, because you might blame yourself if it moons.

Remember the last and biggest bull run, all the tokens jumped up to $0.5 or $1 kind of prices. This will repeat once again for sure. This is not something unrealistic. Only make sure you hold the correct tokens and coins, that's it.

I also experienced the same thing as you and I lost quite a lot. Because I was too panicked and desperately needed money

I am sorry to hear that - I think there are many of us who are in the same situation right now. But holding more and even buying more at these prices is the only way to go and profit.
Oh, I had a similar situation. I sold some of my tokens because I really needed the money. But after a time it began to grow rapidly. I'm really disappointed with myself now because of Verge. Way back June 2017, I bought $200 worth of XVG and I sold it last week a day before the pump happened. It could be worth more than $5k now if I just HODL. 
Well, I need to move on and learn from this mistakes. This will be a lesson for me to have patience and wait for the right time to sell my coins. The reason why I sold it was because I need more funds to buy another coin. I'm happy with the coin I bought because I can now see that it is now starting to pump. Maybe, I'm just half disappointed every time I'm seeing the current value of Verge. I bought some XVG again and will surely hold it this time. 
I hope that this experience of mine can be a good example for everyone especially the newbies in this community.

And since the market is going down, might as well go for a bargain buy of any altcoin of your choice. I think this is the best time to invest in cryptocurrency.

Today is the best time to buy and then hold - the prices are too bargain and I think this is really the perfect time to invest to cryptocurrencies as much as you can and then position a sell order at big profits.

In my opinion, the market now holds better, if you choose a good penny then your holdings will never be a loss, in my opinion there is nothing to fear when the market falls.
My advice, before holding any coin, always make sure you have a basic knowledge of their applications. Also check their roadmap to know when strategically any new thing will be happening and how active the development team are. Marketcap of the coin and total supply with circulating supply is necessary too. Those are some clues we can research before we make any decisions. Good luck my Friends.

Good point and I could not agree more with you mate. Holding coins is not the end of it - there must monitoring part along just holding. It is really painful to discover that the coin you are holding is no longer tradeable in the currency exchanger - mostly it is announced ahead of time by the exchanger and if you don't pay noticed to these kinds of an announcement, you can potentially lose all of your investment.
