Its always good to know the roadmap of the project you are buying its tokens because it has a huge role to play in either attracting new purchasers or whether people will dump the tokens which leads to drop in price.

I hold 3 coins espers-(3 years),insane-(2 years),html - (5 years)

is not bullshit at all, you might just be holding the wrong coins You have to make sure that a coin has a clear and bright future and active community and devlopment, then you can be almost 100% sure that "your time" will come.
There are lots of inactive coins/projects, obviously they might get picked up sometime but for that your chances are very low.
Look for new projects that have a good investment potential.
Without trying to shill, my current favorite is DeepOnion, active development, active community and a good use case. Stealth addresses are soon going to be released so even Monero will have no technical advantage over it.
Projects like these can "moon" easily as they only need a bit more exposure/attention and that's it.
As said before inactive and abandoned coins will likely be forgotten forever no matter how long you hold them...

there are several factors that cause your coin not to give profit or not to the moon. among them your coins are ugly/bad/bulshit coins. You must be careful and more careful in choosing a coin for your investment. pay attention to technology, every event and its management.

Not every coin or token grows in value. You need to track news about the campaign that issued a token or created a coin. If there is no such data or coins, tokens are not supported by their team, they need to be sold and purchased. You should hold Bitcoin and Etherium, not these BS coins. If you truly believe in the project, you'll hold with believing that someday you'll get rewarded. Like I believe in Nexus (NXS). But even with such coins, I trade from time to time, to increase my coins count. Other altcoins which are not special for you, meant to be traded, fix 2x, then 4x, then 8x for example. Especially now, when bitcoin is not growing, day traders are those who get rewarded, not holders.

Among the 3 coins being mentioned, only HTML do ring a bell in my ears and the other 2 is just new to my ears. Holding is the most stupid strategy I have ever seen in trading. You can't hold on hope. You must have trading plan and a b c... what to do if. But if you don't have trading plan, you are losing.

You have these shit tokens, so I suggest you sell them immediately, because it doesn't make any sense to hold them, so why do you keep holding them? I suggest you hold some well-known tokens, such as BTC,ETH, etc.

The thing with holding though is it is vitally important that the coins you hold are good ones.
