No doubt, there is always any risk when you invest. You never know when the price of bitcoins will rise or falls down, that's why you should always choose different alternatives.

It still depends on the decision of the investor if he will hold his remaining bitcoin. It is said that bitcoin price will hit $100,000 in the end of 2018.

As indicated by predictions bitcoin should have achieved 15k$ by end of 2017 and fall in first week of jan 2018

In any case, shockingly its effectively reached 17k$ in 2017.

Should I purchase or hold my btc?I don't plan to sell at any point in the near future.

I believe that all kinds of investments are risky. Even investing at bitcoin is also risky. In the current value of bitcoin, I think that the best way to do is just to hold and wait for the desired value that you want. Just sell it in a good and high value. Better wait to get your desired amount rather than selling it right away though the value is low.

Holding btc is not risky. It is your decision on how you react in that situation. Timing and patience plays a big role also. Drooping price is just normal it happens every year just don't let your emotions bother evrything that can result you into panic selling. Just hold.Btc will regain its price.

If you want to hold on to 100% of your coins, then obviously it can be risky. Why can't you sell some of your coins when the price rises and keep the remainder for long-term holding? Regular profit booking is necessary not just with the BTC, but will all the investment assets.

Holding a risk but it is shallow. Holding to reduce risk and achieve the highest return possible but it depends on the time. Holding is very time-consuming because it requires an extended period. But the holding helps you get a lot of specialties with the altcoin top CMC.

I think it's not risky to hold because btc is safe. Holding can help you to cut losses when the value of btc goes down so better hold than panic selling of your btc when price goes down.

I suggest you have to hold the Bitcoin you have. Do not have a mind to sell Bitcoin you have. And if you have big enough capital, this is a good opportunity for you to buy Bitcoin again. Because I am very confident Bitcoin prices will certainly soar higher than last year.

Long term hold and buying more bitcoin is the best option right now and sell it someday if he reached a very good price mark. hope this is the best year for bitcoin and hoping also that it will reached the 20k mark or more.

Better to hold for long term current price of bitcoin is unpredictable and unstable ups and down are very high. For me i just keep my bitcoin  for long term no matter how hard it fall i know there is always time for recovery. and most prediction for 2018 btc will out performance last year.

I feel the best policy with Bitcoins is to hold them. I advocate a simple golden rule for everyone to follow: Buy at Every Dips, Sell (only if you're in urgent need of funds) at high prices.

Always invest with a long term goal and hodl your coins so you can get maximum out of your investments.

Prices fluctuations keep on happening, but don't let it distract you.

every investment is risky, do not put all eggs in one basket
Yes it is, all investments and holding is too risky, you dont know what will happen for tomorrow. Just be ready and accepts all that will happen if it is income loss then find another one to invest again then if it is net income then celebrate. That is the good attitude of holding and investing, never giving up even if we fall once.

We don't really know if it would be a risky thing to do specially if you would look back at the graph of bitcoin since it started.
We don't know if it would fall down in the next couple of months or it would rise up so I think there is still a risk in holding bitcoin.

The holding also has its own risk, as it depends on the Dev development as well as the Altcoin community. If anyone buys Bitcoin at $ 20,000 holding up to now, it's a bad thing. It's also a risk of the holders buying it at too high a price. Trying to wait for it down and buying it will be the best time for the holders.

Holding bitcoin or other coins will always be a risk. Always remember that there is always a risk whenever you invest on something. For me, this month was a great opportunity for those who want to invest on bitcoin the price low. Btc has the history of price increase at the last quarter of the year so I would suggest to HODL it until that time. For alternate coins, its up to you on when you want to sell it because no one can really predict the price of it. Trust on your instincts.

It is not a risk, but I think you have to have a more partial point of view and avoid being very impulsive when it comes to investing in cryptocurrencies

Well, Holding could be risky, but 90% time it's profitable. You have to target a set price, when you want to sell, once you hit your target sell your coin, and buy back if it's dip down. That's what most people do, that's why you see the price is up n down almost everyday.
