I voted for Dash because I made more money with this.

I don't care about the fight XMR vs Dash.

I guess a lot of money is still possible with both coins. Flip these coins. Don't hold them longterm  Wink

Dash can adopt the infrastructure similar to bitcoin. Monero is completely different anonymous coin. They are both good.

If you don't like something about the Dash/Monero then don't invest in it. In actuality, both coins are doing a good service to the cryptocurrency space, as both are in the process of implementing innovative features.

I agree that trying to test things/ideas is good. But that only works well when you have a project willing to accept CRITICISM and PEER-REVIEW. Both of which appear DASH does not have much tolerance for.

If you don't like the premine then don't invest, but Dash has its space in the "trying innovative stuff" category, so it is beneficial to the ecosystem with their ideas, implementations, and code. That has to be worth something..

Thank you for calling it that. A premine. As it is that. We agree on something.

Once again I think trying different things is good, but it has to go hand in hand with being able to handle criticism and allow reputable community members (or even experts on the topic) to weigh in on the technology being developed.

It also makes sense to have MATH/PROOFs that back up the system being developed.

All of which DASH does not have. At least not that I've seen since its inception.

Anyways, I prefer that the developer of a coin is highly invested in it. It aligns their best interest with stakeholders, and gives them good incentive to work full time. It is kind of like Bitshares... I am speculating here, but I assume Bytemaster has a lot of incentive... and look what Bitshares has been able to do in so little time. Bitshares has put out more code than a lot of development teams combined. Hopefully, Dash's developer is of a similar work ethic as Bytemaster. Bitshares is awesome now.. the GUI has been upgraded a lot since the 2.0 release and is starting to look really nice... especially the decentralized market. Here's an online wallet to check it out (with all features of an installed wallet): https://bitshares.openledger.info/#/

Monero is a better nerd toy, will likely retain its value. Dash is scrambling to pivot away from its anonymous roots which will almost certainly end in failure regardless of how good the development is. You can't wash off the stink of the "darkcoin" name. No legit business entity is gonna get involved in that.

Monero and Dash are only competitors in the anonymity space.

Dash has now become much more than that, we are striving to become Pepsi to Bitcoin's Coke. The only people who value these sorts of polls are crypto geeks, no offense. In the vast, vast world outside of BCT, Dash is working on making crypto easy to adopt for the general population.

In my talks with people everyday on Twitter, no one asks me "Should I consider Monero instead?" It doesn't even come up in the conversation. People are comparing Dash to Bitcoin, and it will continue to be that way, regardless of the results of this little sandbox popularity contest.

Both are horrible scams, look into this on your own. I'd advise you people to stay away from them though.

Both coins are in active development. Monero has built-in anonymity from Day 1. I think Monero is better. But people have different opinions.
