I think don't trust all what you see or read on the internet not all people can be trusted or can be trusted easily. Probably, the youtuber just wants to have likes or attention but for sure we don't know if its true or not. This is why you don't want to believe what you always see on the internet.Don't spread links to avoid hack and don't trust in other person unlike your family and love one. Then, when you use your bitcoin in computer shop, it is the one to hack your account. Make sure that all history of your bitcoin sites was deleted to avoid hack of others. For you to be protected from hackers make sure to check the reviews of the wallet that you are using.i know Exodus is a good wallet Maybe he was scammed due to phishing sites or he logged in his account on a computer with key logger,For you to avoid it, do not click links that are suspicious and enable your 2fact or two factor authentication. If you want a safer wallet, you can buy hard wallet like ledger nano or trezos wallet. Hard wallet are the safest.Hope it will help us. thank you. Angry

No doubt you should secure your wallet, store your private keys in safe and don't tell it to anybody, have several wallets. Keep your system safe, install anti-virus.

Just yesterday I come across one youtuber where he says
he just wake up and saw his 50 btc was vanish from his exodus wallet  and also before that another 20 btc was vanish
he says he dont even know how this happen.

pls how can I escape this.

Well firs of all, don't tell everyone you have bitcoin (regardless of the amount). It's like wearing a t shirt in public that says "ROB ME". Second, who is that dumb youtuber? Sorry but I am bit skeptical that it really happened to him. May be because for me they're just seeking for attention and/or views. Lastly, you should always be careful to sites you visits because some are phishing sites and update your antivirus to your computer/phones.

Computer virus infected last week, this virus was a bit different than other viruses, Bitcoin automatically changed the address when I copied the address. It took me a while to not notice this virus, but I've been struggling too long to erase it.

Cold storage and hardware wallet is supposed to be the standard for most wallets nowadays. We shouldn't fully be deoendent on line wallets due to the risk of being robbed online. You might want to consider how much of a good investment offline wallets are.

I feel confuse between hardware wallet and cold storage, what is the different mate? Its confusing me at all.
I am here for enough longer for i use only online wallet like myetherwallet. I dont ever phising because i am so everytime i enter private key. Sometime i also need to know what is them.

You should first and foremost be sure to only deal with a reputable Bitcoin company and learn how to identify Bitcoin scams but that is only half the equation. It is crucial have your own security measures in place to secure yourself from potential losses. There are some basic personal checks we’ll go over in this article to greatly reduce the chances of your account from being compromised. They are:
Securing your email account
Securing your social media accounts
Using unique, strong passwords for all online accounts
Enabling two-factor authentication.

To avoid BTC hacking, I do the following things

1. Do not use unknown and untested third-party software.
2. When receiving private messages or messages in chat with links to some third party websites, do not use them.
3. Create strong and unique passwords for BTC accounts and completely different passwords with email accounts, email accounts must also be created strong and unique passwords.
4. Enabling two-factor authentication for both email and BTC accounts

Someone is sitting in the shade today...
Cold storage is the safest way to keep them or an offline HD that you never connect it to your computer while you are connected to a internet. But cold storage is the easiest and the safest method.

I think the best way to protect your bitcoin from being hack is just to keep it in a cold storage or some hard ware wallets.
And never trust anybody and remember to always check the websites there are tons of phishing sites nowadays so be careful in logging in your account.

Save your bitcoin on your safest wallet and not using third party wallet like store bitcoin on exchange it's very dangerous. Just set up two factor authentication for more secure. Also do not give your personal wallet data to people around.

OP do you have a link to this YouTube video. Why wouldn't you post the video?

That sounds like not very computer savvy people will have, getting a virus or something.

I would suggest don't put your cryptos in a family computer where the kids download everything they come across.

I think i can protect myself from being hack just to dont sen my private key just keep it secret and private from anyone
Things are never that easy if that was the case then no one will ever get hacked, but we get threads all the time of people that got hacked somehow and most of the time it has to do with a link they clicked or a software they downloaded and has nothing to do with sharing their private key, most of the time when a user shares his private key he does not know what he is doing or was deceived by social engineering.

Try to avoid different phishing links with equivocal content inside it will come with experience. Also try to dowload only official soft and use dual authentication.

Specifically in the case of hack of exchange i think  no one can secure his bitcoin under the situation but one can protect his asset by just having more than one wallet. All I know is that almost all Bitcoin wallets depend on core in one way or the other and all of them can be back doored or hacked. The holder must not enter his information anywhere and he must keep his own operating system secure.
