Emotional control is with you. Knowing when to cry, know what's going on around. And of course trading as well is the emotions that come out and if you know why this is happening you will definitely know what you will do. In other words If you know what's going on in the market you know how to resolve it.
I just feel you. The first time i loss money even in a small amount give me a big heartache and sleepness night, thinking what i did wrong? I am planning to dump my coins to lessen further damage. But as i read more, i just realize that i have to be calm and think ahead. I Also agree to the answere about its fine to have small losses than big losses. If ever i dump that coins after buying it in a higher price, a loss will be there. Patience is a virtue here. Lets just wait and study it carefully
Now, you should sell out all your atla coins and choose an investment portfolio with more than two coins. One kind of coin in long-term and one in short-term.

Maybe you need to take small pause with trading. Try to solve your problem 
In next time choose few altcoin find out information about them have a look graph of coin and then start your trading.

You have to follow the simple trading principle as there is no different between conventional trading and cryptocurrency or forex trading. For you to make profit you most buy low and sell high and if the opposite is the case then you will lose money. A coin may be good but if you invest in it at the wrong time you will lose money. You can only control your emotions if you know what you are doing and you can only know what you are doing buy spend time to learned why the altcoins market behave the way it behaves. If you buy at the right time you will always sell at the right time and vice versa. I will advise you not to sell now because you will sell at lose as most of the coins are in red but after the bitcoin splitting, fund are going to flows back to altcoins markets and most of them will recover.
Maybe you could try to search for a couple of interesting things and try to make them into your hobbies, this could allow you to spend more time with it and you won't have time to think about your altcoins that have dropped in values, patience is a virtue in trading, so it would be better to hold on your altcoins for now.

Trading can make you emotional when you're new to it it's natural sometimes things doesn't work the way we think. You should start trading with lower amounts so that you won't get emotional or depressed. Altcoins market are pump and dump nowadays so you should only invest if you are going to hold it for long term otherwise you will have to suffer loss as altcoin market are highly volatile.

you should practice self disipline , the moment you but an altcoin profit is what is in your mind right ? if you sell your coins right now would you think you could get profit ? obviously no ! so the best advice I can give you is dont ever sell if you are not gaining profit jusy Hold it it will never be always down surely it's value will rise just wait for it The problem with altcoins is a few thousand dollars can literally change the entire market. If you invest too much, a single dumper could ruin everything for you. Look at what happened with eBTC recently. Someone dumped like mad and the price crashed ~80% within an hour.

You should understand the whole thing first. You must know why all the altcoins are down at the movement and what will cause them to go up. If you know things like that then you will never get emotional or Panick about your investment. Just get to know that all the altcoins are down because people have reinvested the money into bitcoin to get those free bitcoin. Once they are done with it (which they already) they will start putting back all the money into altcoin which are already down for them and a good opportunity to invest their money. This will again pump the coins and will lead to profits for you. So hope that you see it as good opportunity and not the loss really.

Sometimes in trading you will make a loss, it is important to understand and accept this. I try to think of trading like this - you have to always make the best decision at the time given the information you have available to you. This is something which you ca only learn with the passage of time. The more experienced you will, more will be easier for you to control your emotions. In the world of trading, you cannot survive if you don’t have control over your emotions. You actually need to learn this thing so that you may not suffer any kind of loss. Getting panic can only create more troubles for you.
You stop panicking, looking at the price and come back in a few weeks/months or even years. Staring at the market graphs daily will drive you insane, unless you are an experienced or maybe day trader and understand how to control your emotion then there is no point constantly checking the prices. Play long term, it is better for return on investment. This alt downtrend is nothing compared to the last few years, you'll get used to it eventually.

thars called have minimal risk in your investment just relax youself and do not panic focus your mind into how to resolve your problem emotion can;t help to your problem, i suggest with you buddy do not sell your coins wait for the right time to become valuable again the price value of your coins in the market, the reason of altcoin falling down because bitcoin keep increasing the focus of the investor to buy bitcoin as investment.
Yap their is nor instant profit for any investing. Op should just wait for the right time to sell his coins, or even convert it to other altcoins. It is not easy because how i convert is i turn it to eth then i use that eth to buy other altcoin. I do this instantly for the price not to change a bit. Because not all altcoin are really that attractive and sometimes the owners are the ones mining it and selling it in the market.
there are a few ways I guess, you need to go back and examine the trend of your particular coin.
if the trend is for a constant rise in value well then you can hodl for the price to rise again.
this could be tomorrow but it could also be next week or two weeks.
if you do your research and the price is trending to rise at some stage then it is ok.
if you buy at the top of the price and the trend is for a fall then you can wait for the bottom price and buy more.
when that happens you now have averaged you cost price which is lower than you bought at the top price.
just keep calm and do your research!

First of all you must accept the fact that losses happen to everyone and not just you. But the mistake that yo have done needs to be learnt and not done again. The altcoins are all currently down because of people selling them and buying bitcoin. If you get emotional seeing this then I suggest you to not trade for a few days and come back after the fork happens. After the fork people will be back to trading altcoins again and the price will be up soon. Rise and fall are common in any trade and you have to cope with that.
