I was wondering how'd you discover or know about bitcoin? Did someone refer you? Did someone show you what you did? Through the news? Share something here.  Cheesy

I discover bitcoins way back 2014 when i was board and looking for an online job that can help me to earn money, i saw faucet first which is the Moonbit.coi.in i try to collect many satoshi by that time. i took a research about satoshi and how to have it. at first i just thought that it was only a game, a collection, then i saw a post of one of my facebook friends, i ask him about it, and he gladly share to me to process and the procedure of transferring my earnings on a wallet which i can use for encashment.

My story goes thus, having heard about making money online several times and try as few only to discover everything is saturated with scammers, I then gave up that no real means of earning rather than wasting my resources on surfing. But after a while when I got to have access to unlimited internet, then I started surfing again until I read an article and follow through, did more findings, joined the forum and the rest they say is history...

I heard about it on the news sometime close to 2013, back when it had hit the ATH and everyone was talking about this crazy new currency to hit everything, and then I kind of forgot about it for a while before eventually finding myself here and doing things to help me out in my life. It's been a good run so far and I'm happy with it all.

I just discovered bitcoins when my friend told me about it and I became curious about it as he told me that it is associated with deep web.
I am just curious with deep web but he said that btc is the currency used there so I need to study first what is btc and I did it discovered through him and things go round and exploration goes by googling.

...

From Zero Hedge (bwa ha).  Back about 2012/3 (right before BTC's big price run up)

http://www.zerohedge.com/

One of their members gave me my first "bit nickel" (0.05 BTC) and helped walk me through various steps, even sold me some BTC by "mail order".

Of interest perhaps is that only ONE person I know has taken up BTC.  NO ONE else among my family or friends cares in the least.

I have known bitcoin when i was browsing ptc sites.  I clicked some link that tells about bitcoin and then i was redirected to this site after several clicks of link.  I was looking for some extra income back then and stumble on altcoin giveaways.  I participated in several giveaways before I focused on learning about economics of bitcoin.

Bitcoin was introduced to me by my online friend a couple of years ago when he invited me to join an online investment using that digital currency. But instead of joining him i've made a research first about the origin of bitcoin. Until now they still debating on the real identity of Satoshi Nakamoto, the maker of bitcoin.

I had discovered it initially, way back when I it started. People were paying me in it and I was like no I don't need it. I so regret, that I never took it. Now every one has discovered it due to net. It's popularity has increased a lot over time, and today it's surging like anything. Mostly there were forums back then and now net and growing demand for a alternative has developed the need for Bitcoin

Here's my story:

I had a spare Android phone and wanted to do something to it. So I googled about things/projects/fun stuffs I can do with the phone. One of the results I got was about using Android phone to do "calculations" in return for "money"... That's how I learn about bitcoin/mining. Of course the article I read was already 1-2 year-old, and I wasn't able to do meaningful bitcoin mining with a phone then- the difficulty was only about  50-60 million...
