In 2011 in the forums, I became interested in this technology. That's where I heard about bitcoin for the first time. After reading, I realized that it was used as an electronic Currency, which does not require any Centralization. Very interesting, I decided to buy some of this currency to try it. Of course, it was not so easy like now and I remember how a few shaded sites, until I finally got a few coins worth about 1.2$ each (today, 1 Bitcoin is worth 5400$ - 19.10.2017).

I heard about it when someone ordered a pizza with BTC. Never knew what it was.
i always noticed bitcoin name through adds on web but never bothered to look then one day i saw a price tag close to the bitcoin with 200 bucks

I can't remember when I heard about bitcoin, maybe 5 or 6 years ago; but I didn't think it was something I would be interested in, I got into trading thanks to a family member. now I'm kinda sad because I'm feeling like it's a little bit too late :/
I saw it on the internet but i'm not fan on bitcoin at that time because the value is very low and i thought bitcoin it is a scam but is not, i was wrong. Until i found out the value is going up.

i heard about bitcoin in the internet and social media, then i try a different ways to earn and save a bitcoin, first i earned a little so i try not to continue because i thought it was only a waste of time to collect a bitcoin.

I know bitcoin from close friends .. i do not really believe and translated, but the land slowly I understand and understand it after my friend explain patiently .. and finally I am interested and enjoy it very much and I feel happy because it can change my finance and very profitable.. 
Well in the beginning, what i heard about bitcoin is only a token or a prize for any online games and no one appreciate it even me. In the beginning of 2017 people started to talk about it thru social media about this currency and now what happen to the value of this in the market,its like a bubble, generating its value every single.
I stumbled on bitcoin.org in 2009 when the website 1st released. I tired to buy some under $.01 and learned you have to mine. Before mining was a thing. So I tired with my laptop and burnt it up. Left bitcoin all together. Forgot about it and heard It was at $1,200 from someone in 2013. Not a great story. If anyone knows how to recover bitcoins from a burnt out hard drive let me know. lol I still got the laptop.
First time i've heard about bitcoin was on newspaper and internet, i just thought that it is some kind of virtual money and it would be disappears someday but when bitcoin became viral, i research about it and really interested in it. Lucky for me that i have a brother do bitcoin stuff and he tell me what is bitcoin. Now that brother and i are a team, bitcoin help me with amount of money that i were really hard to earn in past.

I first hear about bitcoins last two years ago when I was once became a member of a community of donations in which bitcoin is the money used. I was confused at first about bitcoins but as I learned about it I enjoyed taking transactions and knowing some other investments about bitcoins. I have no regret that I became a member of that community although it was down because , because of them I have known bitcoins. Do you spend a lot of time on bitcoin? I heared about bitcoin from my officemate. He shares his experienced and from there I was convinced that I can also have extra income through bitcoin. I started putting a small amount in trading, however it is not easy to earn bitcoin as you think.
Well at first it's not that easy but over time you will surely know the strategies, we have heard bitcoin on the same way thru my office mate, He introduced me to bitcoin he just share all the thoughts about bitcoin, but on my own part i do a research so i can fully understand how this thing works.
Vegethegreat, the problem you have is you know seeking for knowledge first before you jump into trading of bitcoin but it never too late for you to study the tactics of bitcoin trading,investment etc.
if I hear the bitcoin from my friend who has been building the bitcointalk account for quite some time, I'm curious at first. but over time when you know the bitcoin we are even dizzy and the longer the bitcoin is getting tighter.
so my experience is almost the same as you guys here.
First time I saw it, was actually from some random ads on my phone while playing a game a long time ago. About a month ago, a friend of mine suddenly made so much fuss about earning some free money just from btc. I first heard about it when a big exchange decided to steal the money from its users. I heard it on the news. People are right when they say theres no such thing as bad press.
Something similar happened to me. As far as I can remember, the first time I heard about it was when Mt. Gox scandal was reported in the news. I didn’t pay much attention then. After that, whenever I heard of it was when an ATH was reported but it seemed something too complicated. This year bitcoin and cryptos began being frequently reported in local news because of the rise in price, especially of Bitcoin and Ethereum. Then was when I decided to investigate about them and get into the crypto world.

Well at first it was introduced to my husband through his cousins. While I am evesdropping, the thing going on in my mind was that it was a scam or some sort of networking. But then it had appeared to me that it was a legitimate source of money and a known currency as well.
