It is risky but you can certain small amount kept on exchanges.
Why is that good? You can react fast if dump occurs or wait for alts to wake up like Dogecoin recently

Yeah you have a point as it is easy to trade when you have some amount in your wallet and theres a sudden pump or dump so you can easily catch the train. Maybe just a little amount of coins will do here and don't store huge amount in exchange as it may get hack.

Since I'm not holding any larger amounts of bitcoin, thereopre i store them on blockchain.info wallet and I'm keeping it pretty safe so I'm not scared of it being hacked or stolen. This also goes for the 200$ I've inested into bitcoin, storing them aswell on blockchain.info wallet but not on the default address. So yeah, not that paranoid about security at the moment.
If you're not that scared, I agree with you on it on using a blockchain.info wallet. I haven't tried that, is it really safe? I don't know if I want my bitcoins in a site but I hear it's safe.

Hello everyone as the title says ^
Do you store your bitcoins online or on a wallet on your computer, perhaps cold storage?

As a bitcoin user, I prefer to store my bitcoin than spending it all out. How do I store my bitcoin? I store my bitcoin on a wallet on my smart phone. I save it there and then daily or hourly I notify myself on how much did bitcoin cost. And also, see if my money goes up or down.

I store my bitcoin in my wallet especially the coins.ph wallet because as a filipino it is the best wallet for us where we can convert our bitcoin into fiat.

Personally, I don't store huge amount in my online wallet as I'm not holding a private key. I just store here some for my daily transactions. And I use electrum for storing huge amount of coins, I treat this like my savings account. So far I didn't encounter issues using my wallets.

Yeah, it would be wise to do that. Wallets which you hold the private keys are more reliable to use than just an online wallet. There was a time when online wallets had issue about its security and I learned that electrum is much safer to use for storing bitcoin. I only used online wallets for transactions because of rebates and also for converting into local currency.

Well as for me, I store my bitcoins with an online bitcoin wallet.

I store differently. I store them in a wallet based on the Bitcon QT. It is reliable.

I store bitcoin online since I do not have a huge amount of bitcoin yet and still in decimals. The time I store my bitcoin in my hardware wallet is when I have already earn 10 bitcoins up in order to prevent hackers to steal my bitcoins.

Storing your bitcoin on an online wallet that doesn't give you the private keys is not safe because you can't fully control your money there and they can do whatever they want to your account so if you are planning to store your bitcoin then use other wallet like electrum which is one of the most trusted and safest bitcoin wallet available.

This article is going to discuss the many ways of storing your bitcoin. There are many ways of bitcoin storage and many different types of wallet software. Storing bitcoins does not involve storage of actual bitcoins per se, but involves the safe storage of the private key to the wallet addresses.
