Hello everyone as the title says ^
Do you store your bitcoins online or on a wallet on your computer, perhaps cold storage?
Indeed. I store my bitcoin in online wallet to keep is safe. Online wallet is easy use and you can transfer money easily. However, there are still people who use the offline wallet or hardware wallet that you need to install to your computer or laptop. Lastly, the best way to store your bitcoin is to keep it in online wallet.

Well, I store my bitcoin in online wallet to keep it safe and secure. In addition to that, online wallet is very easy to use because all you need is internet access. By using online wallet you can transfer money or bitcoin easily and instantly. However, there are still people who use the offline wallet that you need to install to your computer.

i'm store my bitcoin in three wallet . Number One is Blockchain. I thing Blockchain is very nice wallet so i'm use this wallet first. Number two is Coinbase and Number three is CoinPayments. I'm Never Use one wallet i use at a time two wallet . One is Blockchain and coinbase.
Blockchain should not be number one, it should be used as last option.
I store my bitcoins in paper wallet, when I need them i simple use mycelium.
Imo it is safest way.

10-15% in my local currency exchange wallets which I can sell or buy frequently when I need them.
10-15% in coinbase for any online buying or sending to a friend or receiving stuff.
Everything else in my mobile wallet for long term holding, I will be adding a % of my income to this wallet as my savings. Rarely I buy altcoins and do trading as I have less time after my everyday's work.

I think it's a good idea to mix and match and not keep all your eggs in one basket, just in case.

Keep some on your PC in a wallet and store some others on places like blockchain.info.

Personally, I don't really trust storing them on a smartphone, I just think it's less safe than the other options available but I guess keeping a small amount there can be ok too.

You don't trust smartphones yet you trust blockchain.info. Blockchain.info is an online wallet. Although it's one of the most famous, it can still be hacked. And since it's one of the most famous ones, it's probably being targeted by hacker groups. I don't really see any point in storing your coins in an online wallet when you know how to use a desktop or, even better, an offline wallet.

I'm using an offline wallet right now. I created a wallet, wrote down the seed, deleted the wallet, restored the wallet via seed, and then move the wallet file to a flash drive. That's how easy to set it up. I only have very few coins on an exchange just so I can withdraw them when I need fiat money. It's just more practical than to put all my coins to the offline wallet and then later on transfer them back to the exchange because I need some fiat. Transaction fee is just so expensive.

I store bitcoin in multiple paper wallets.  (Private keys stored in 2 separate locations, in two halves that have to be reassembled.)  I sweep it into my electrum wallet to send/spend it, and then send the change to a different paper wallet.

What other hardware wallets do you guys recommend besides trezor. I have used those since the beginning. I am definitely picking up a couple trezor 2s when they become available. Any of you prefer any other hardware wallets over trezors. Looking for the easiest to use, one that I could teach an 11 or 12 year old.

I want to be show my kids how to use bitcoin. I think they are ready

I think bitcoins are stored in multiple wallets for security or maybe in a paper wallet. If you really want tight security and protection to it make sure to put it in a USB Storage or other data storage. Make sure not to forget your pass keys or else you'll lose your bitcoin.

Well I don't really have that much so I just using online wallet ( coins.ph ) and offline wallet ( electrum ) for my back up.
But when I got some really much I'm planning to back up in usb type. I think its much safer than anything.

Indeed small miners like us do not pay much attention to storage bitcoin that is owned.
Because we only have a small amount in possession.
But it seems that we should start thinking about a high-security store, because we too have a good prospect of having a large bitcoin

Is saving a wallet.dat on a usb and deleting it off of your computer as safe as a paper wallet?  Or no because the wallet has been connected to the internet?

I am storing my bitcoin in an online wallet for easy access for payments, cash out and for trading. Also, I am maintaining an offline wallet like in electrum, this is for long term hold of bitcoin. But I am also planning to use trezor in the future, just to diversify my wallet.

If you have any more than 3+ bitcoins (which I think should be spread across multiple hot wallets if you need to move funds frequently), I think it's best practice to have several hardware wallets. With prices where they are at now (and where they could be in the future), if you have 10+, 50+, or 100+, you ABSOLUTELY NEED them spread across hardware wallets.

You definitely do no want them all in Coinbase, BitPay, Corcle, etc.

Trezor are definitely good
Trezors are worth every single penny but I think it is cheaper to just use paper wallets, using something like a trezor is only worth it if you have above 10BTC, to me a hardware wallet like that is only cost effective to those that have a number of coins to protect and that need to move frequently.

Still very risky, all are online but that is very accessible on your part.
I plan to store in offline also but I am not good with the method to store it, I just heard from people to store
offline also so it is not prone to hacking.
