There is a saying " don't judge a book by its cover". Therefore, do not judge a team by their number, rather dig within and know what they are capable of doing.
Actually, the number doesn't really matter, what matters is their skills, experience and achievements; this is what will tell if the team will develop a good project or not, as one can only offer what he has.
Therefore to your question, do not look at their number or facial expressions, go for what lies within (knowledge and experience).

Thank you for your detailed response it is really appreciated.

I do agree with you that quality goes over quantitiy and the team should be able to deliver on its promisses.

For me no such thing as perfect ICO team, The most important of any ICO,IEO.ITO is the transparency and the competitive team. It doesnt matter if its not perfect or whatsoever as long as they are capable to deliver the whole concept written in their whitepaper and be sure that the Whitepaper is authentic and not copycats or else its a shady one.

I do support your position 100%. It is much better to have people that stand 100% behind the project and can deliver what they promissed in the whitepaper.

I think that the success of the project does not depend on the number of people in the team. need to consider what kind of scale of the project. If the project is global, then of course only 4 people will not enough for creating a huge project

I do agree, and of course you can still add new members to the team once you expand. At the end of the day you neet a core team but you want to reach profit and success before you add to many members that cost to much.

Hello Bitcointalk Community,

I would like to know from your point of view as an investor how a Team needs to look to get convinced.

Apart from the idear of the project I would be glad to get to know your opinion how a perfect Team looks like.

The reason behind this question is, that some teams have 3-4 members and others show off with 20.

I am looking forward to a good discussion.

Cheers

Your Stag3 Team

They should know each other not only coming from different countries and being hired on Fiverr or on linked I have seen some project where the team members do not know each other, every one of them is just hired by an anonymous developer, I encounter one guy who is part of a project that does not know who is the real owner because they only communicate through email.

hey mate, thank you very much for your response. It sounds like a "joke" what you just said, nevertheless i can imagine a few projects work like that and thats pretty shocking.  Huh
Anyways that will and wont be the way at the ICO i work on. We prefer transparency and have a core team that knows each other for a very long time; )

in my opinion the perfect ICO Team looks like :

1. always respond to questions from investor
2. all transactions during ICO or after ICO (anything related to ICO project) must be transparent
3. team must work according to roadmap and whitepaper that has been made
4. the project and the identity of the team must be clear, so investors can trust to invest in the project
5. the team always notifies the latest information or developments that have occurred on the project from ICO

A development team for an ICO doesn't have to "look" anything base on the point of view of each investor. They just have to be true with what they are working, no bias, no hidden agenda but true intention of making a project into reality.

So you would rather have a project where the Team works honest and transparent compared to a Team that tries to fake expertise right ?
Definitely, what can you hope with those fake expertise? it's better to have an honest team with real and realistic goals than with those too much expectation but will never reach anything with what they say in the future.

I certainly agree. I did observe that many projects try quantity over quality. I always wondered how 10 Advisors can actually help you.

I do think honesty and transparency and good communication is needed more than ever to reach a Soft & Hard cap.

Right, if someone who has found to be guilty of some shady behavior and actions before, that's already a red flag for that project.

If your team doesn't have a slew of lawyers and auditors that know not only US but also laws of every nation that your selling your currency in, then you are a scammer in my eyes and will fail.

Its a real difficult questions but at least they are some clues to identify if Team are truly genuine . Their linkedin Profile must be carefully examined and other social media details.. It is ideal to learn about this date they registered their Social media account and its ideal to contact at least 3 of them and have a conversation with them .Another means of assessment is checking the project rating with ICO Bench or other project rating platform . If their Team are not verified , its not ideal to participate in such project.

in my opinion the appearance of a good ico team must always display the position in accordance with their expertise and must be accompanied by proof, besides that the ico team must also actively provide news for investors and participants to be able to make trust. that in my opinion

Well the proof would be a solid Linkedin profile i think. Do you agree?.

Yes the team members should engage. Their should ring a bell if they dont.

Thanks for your feedback by the way.

If the team is talking about a big project. Of course it would be better if there were a lot of team members. And preferably with experience in the blochkchayn industry. It is difficult to search for information on the team but everything is possible.

I assume what you mean is that the key to success is transparency right ?

I am looking for a few criteria when assessing the team.
First, I want to know they are real people with experience and connection. LinkedIn is mandatory for me.
Second, the team balance is important. I want to see a team comprised of both tech and business people.

and if they provide their LinkedIn profiles, try to contact at least one of them and confirm their involvement with the project. sometimes you need to check if what they are saying is true & not using someone else's profile.
I agree with that, the team should have balance. people might know how to handle business but they don't know how to realise their technology. so it's a win win situation to both parties.

Thats true even Linkedin profiles can be fake.

Check out mine.
