If you want some prediction, then bitcoin could last forever in my opinion as long as internet still exist due to most transaction of bitcoin going through online network. As the number one, king of cryptocurrency, bitcoin will be always the leader of all altcoins as we know bitcoin prices do affect other coins price, when it move up or decline, altcoins prices are following. So, I don't expect for another coin just show up and surpass bitcoin.
The most important thing is bitcoin usability, it has been used for years as medium of exchange such as real money - fiat money which used for daily transactions. And we hope more acceptance from govs that legalizes bitcoin payment in order to support bitcoin environment such as in Japan and South Korean.

I think Bitcoin will be around for more than 30 to 40 years for sure and it will become extremely popular in coming 2 to 3 years. One can expect tremendous growth from Bitcoin and its price is expected to show a massive growth in 10 years.

yes i believe that bitcoin will last very long. as long that there are still people who are using bitcoin for an extra income, bitcoin is still here or still will exist. i would never accept if bitcoin was gone, i would be madly depressed if that really happens because bitcoin has been part of my life since i first use bitcoin and earn money with bitcoin. and i am still hoping that bitcoin will be a legal currency one day.
