I think that for almost all users of crypto currencies today there is only one strategy and it is to store the entire portfolio of coins to the full stabilization of the market. There is no point in selling, because it will definitely be a loss.

The best solution for you is to keep the purchased coins for 1-2 years. Then you will become rich with great confidence. The main thing is to choose good coins from the top 10-20.

I want to hold my crypto for a long time, I think I will hold my crypto 2-3 years, I will only sell it when the price of crypto makes me get a big profit, if you want to hold Litecoin, I will hold my Ethereum for a long time.
Same, if i have that kind of alts, i would prefer to hold for a long time rather than selling it in very low price. Its okay to hold coins and save it for the future because it might gives us high value if we continue to hold and wait for the value increases.

I was just wondering how long you guys plan to hold on to your top cryptos. Right now my plan is to hold on for at least 3-5 years. But that could all change depending on where the market goes. If there is serious mass adoption, I wouldn't mind holding for longer. I will probably hold on to LTC for the longest.

I would have to say long enough to make reasonable profit. That is why I am here in the first place, to make profit and make sure that I am not selling my coins at a loss. Now that we are going into another bear market I would have to say that I am willing to wait for the next couple of years because it looks like that is how long it is going to take for the coins to moon again.
Until the increase occur in the market. I am not having any plans of selling at this moment because profit will be surely less of what is about to be earned once the market is in green marks. We should focus on being patient at times like this and prioritize holding no matter how bad the market be.

Not all the coins are worth of long term holding. I am holding only top coins like BTC, ETH and ADA long term until
they reach my profit targets. How long will it take we will see.

I plan to keep my tokens at least until they get up to the price of January 2018, and if I'm luckier, it's even longer!)
I divide them into 3 pieces, First big peace is my long term investment which i mean years it about %60 of my total investment and %20 for some months, and at lease I have %20 for short term investments for daily trade.
Tokens received from the bounty of the companies I sell almost everything at once. With this market, they only fall in price. Then I bite my elbows when they grow in price 10 times. Although there are coins with bounty companies in the wallet, which I have been holding for quite a long time. And altcoins, which I bought myself I keep for a very long time. It just doesn't make sense to sell them with a minimum income.
What is the purpose of hodling for that long 3-5 years!! at the end you need to gather some profits, if your hold reach to the ATH then start gathering profits unless you get passive income
I think it depends on the market situation, if there is a chance to gain profit then I will sell my coins but not at all. I will sell all of my coins if it looks like they have reached their peak. So I'm holding as long as I can. I believe holding LTC is very potential because this crypto will have a bright future.

I don't think holding for an exactly time is a good decision. The market rises and falls, rises and falls,... So I think we should sell our coins when the price is high and buy again when it is low. So we will have more profit than holding for a long time.
I hold long term...there are a lot of coins with small market cap ,mining pow, no premine, limited supply, active dev...a coin similar to litecoin,vertcoin or viacoin...as I just wrote in another thread I regret I did not get bought coins like litecoin,vertcoin or viacoin when they were very very low in 2015...today before it's too late I'm continuing to buy ELICOIN...only trade it on Crex24 for now....i think it's a good "lottery ticket" to buy for 50$ or 100$ before it's too late....do your research....
I will hold my cryptos until the time comes that it is profitable to sell. Even it will reach more years, then still I didn't see a good profit from it, I will still hold.
