How long you should have to wait is depends on when did you buy the coin.
If you bought the coin when the price is low, i guess you don't need long time to sell it later.
Therefore, i suggest we better to buy the coin when it is on the bottom, like the current situation.

Yeah bitcoin has been decreasing in value for quite some time now but i don't think selling any cryptocurrency at this time is not good because of how down the market has gone down.
