You have more chance if you trading! Then you can increase number of coins over time..
And when time comes you will have good starting point for retirement.

Trading does not mean increasing its capital, but put it at risk, for example i 90% lose when i trade my bitcoin, i'm too emotional

If you bought at $1200 and sold at $200, you will lose a lot of money. The exchanges will also take most of the profits.

The price would have to go up very high before you can even think about retiring. So you would need a lot of Bitcoin.
yeah it definitely, you have to get bitcoin, as much as possible, you dont want in your old age your pension day feeling disappointed because just getting some bitcoin ONLY

That's a tough question but I would have to say 10 BTC personally
the question is, whether you can get 10 BTC within 20 years, in what way will you use to get 10 BTC, it is very important

you need to get those btc now if you want to reitre later, it was already said, if you wait too much then the price skyrocket and you will need much more money to have the same amount of coins, that instead you can have right now wiht less money

If we obtained 10,000 bitcoin 5 years ago, we can retire now. The same thing can be said for the now and future. For now, we need 10 bitcoin.

not the same thing because 10k bitcoin can make you retire at a mere 100 per coin, which is very fats to achieve, and in fact we reached it, but with 10 coin, you need 100k per coin, you need to wait plenty of time for that if it is even possible...

Lets say I want to buy bitcoins today and store them for 20 years to use a my retirement fund.  Live comfortably, but don't need to buy a yacht or anything.  How many do you think I would need to buy?

3.

No wait 300.

I'm sure it's one or the other. You decide Wink
nah.

More like 30 or 3,000,000.

I would have to assume at least 3000 though.

My attempt is to get 100 bitcoins before I retire but I just want to say that not all of your retirement assets should be in bitcoin because if something happens we can't conceive of now and they become worthless, you want to have something else you can draw from.

Make it a lot. There is no guarantee the price will sky rocket.
Also make sure to diversify. Betting on just bitcoin to succeed is very dangerous.

In the end you may end of living on water and bread for retirement.

That won't cut it for use. I think you need way more then 10 BTC.
If you want to have a good pension/retirement try to get your hands on as many bitcoins as possible.

Eventhough the rate is going high and the technology is well proven, it requires some efforts so to get involved in bitcoin. When it comes to future for sure we are in need of atleast 50 bitcoins according to my calculations. Because human predictions may go wrong in bitcoins value

That would be amazing if it increased so much that your 2 btc would be worth 2 mill in the future but it could also go the other way and become worth 2 cents..  Lol  Roll Eyes
