I've not had the intention to stop gambling because it helps my brain power to grow. It helps my thinking and as I keep playing my gambling experience increases. But, I always intend to moderate how I play games not to get addicted. Gambling is always fun and I don't intend to make a living through gambling, so it's not something I'm doing too often to an extent of advising myself to stop playing again. Hence, your point has to do with self control, and people with such attitudes gets frustrated from the same game that makes others get happy. I think it's a personal experience and people differs, similarly, we see gambling differently. A player can decide to play black jack and slot games randomly and studying how it works at same time. In the process, they won't get fed up from playing, even while losing funds, because they want to know how the machine works.

Some people can't stop and some can just forget about it and go on to doing something else. If a person had already gone addicted to gambling before and then overcome it when he was still a teen, I think it's easier for him to stop. For someone who had just become addicted to gambling and then wanted to stop, it may require willingness.

I do gamble with dice and blackjack from time to time but when I lose the amount I allocated for that time, I also quit and let go of the loss.

I only think I have stopped once in my life after getting to know to gamble. yes, it's because I'm completely out of money. but after I realized it, it was really hard. so I every week set aside a small portion of my money to bet.
I feel it's not an addiction that I do. but I don't know what other people think. what is clear is that I am now depositing money with a fixed allocation every week for me to play.
I just hope to be consistent with what I do. and not get my finances involved in the gambling that I do.

It depends on how he wants to stop because it will not be easy to really stop gambling and leave it.
Especially if he were someone who had gambled for a long time and gambled almost daily, he would feel that hardship.
Maybe he can tell his family or friends and ask for their help to really leave gambling for good.
The temptation to gamble is indeed great, but we as users who often play gambling, should be able to resist the temptation so that it doesn't become big.
I always try to limit myself instead of stopping gambling because I really feel that it is not the time to stop gambling yet.

It will always depend on the determination of each person to be able to stop gambling even if only for a while because that means if he is able to stop he is able to control himself when to play and when to stop, and so far I am still able to do it, and if you find it difficult to stop gambling it could be that he doesn't have any activities that can be used to spend his time, so for those of you who find it difficult to stop try doing other activities so that your mind can be distracted and not just focused on gambling.

Gamble responsibly
When I wanted to stop to gamble, I stopped, because I lost so much and I have to stop around that time and I stopped gambling for one good year. Before I thought of stopping, I have never thought of stopping gambling before. Some gamblers might tell some people that they have stopped, but not from their mind, maybe that is what happened to your friend, not being truthful with you when it comes to gambling. You may see him losing and advising him to stop, and him telling you he has stopped, but not.

Gambling has become an everyday thing for some people and this act has lead to serious addiction which is not good. When gambling we should understand that we are just playing for fun. Most people i know around always take gambling as a very serious issue and i have this particular friend that always complains to me how he has stopped gambling but from no where you still see him gambling again. Me myself am a sesonal gambler and i only gamble on the sport i know which is soccer, i think exploration of new gambling games you are familiar with also causes this repeated feeling of always quitting gambling. I just want to know if this phrase is common among everyone or its just he catch phrase whenever you experiences a big loss.

Many people see gambling as a very serious business because it is their full-time job maybe because of unemployment or greed. They put more than what they can afford to lose. The truth is losing in gambling is very painful but you don't need to invest more than you can bear.
Like every other form of perceived unethical behavior gambling is addictive. But it is not all gambling addicts that are bad losers. Some people play gambling often, when they lose or gain you might never notice. Betting only on the sports you know doesn't free you from gambling addiction. You can bet only on one sport and still be a strong gambling addict, just ensuree you identify when you are going off-limits. I have never tried stopping gambling because I might have been addicted to other things, but I have never been a gambling addict.

It's pretty common for those gamblers who lose a lot. I am sure that most of us hear this coming from a gambler who has intense emotions due to losses and is complaining to the casino that it is not fair, but after the emotions calm down, you see him again depositing money, and after winning some games, he wouldn't be saying anything. Though mostly the reason for this is that they are just addicted or they just can't quit due to their need to earn money.

I don't request loans~
I believe it was only once or twice, back when I started out (which was in highschool). As a kid back then I was into gambling due to the influence of my friends, nothing big, I only played with my friends anw but with money involved but I did realize back then it may lead to something worse if I kept on going on. My girlfriend then also pushed me to stop since she didn't really like me gambling with money, so I stopped that is until at least my 2nd/3rd year of college. Slowly got back to it and here we are now, still gambling but in a balanced way (imo anyway).

I haven't tried to stop but because it's not a problem for me. I play little, with low amounts, being aware that the odds are against me, and always with money I can afford to lose. I take it as an entertainment expense, with the difference that from time to time I come out with more money than I put in.

So, I don't have to set out to stop, and in fact, there are seasons when I don't gamble, simply because I don't feel like it or because I'm busy and don't even think about it.
