Yes I would say it is possible technically but I can only speak for myself.
If I ever won £50k or the day when my cumulative earnings reach £50k. (Mind you not dollars)
I've not quite reached even 10% of this milestone. I am sure I'll get there in the next 10 years. And then bye bye gambling!
Realistically, i don't think there will be any amount of money to make a man stop from gambling. But it cant be definite either.
For example, in lottery, some of those who won the prize were able to manage their money wisely (invested it) while others tend to carelessly spend their money to win again.
It also depends on the reasons why someone continues to gamble. In casino, they do it for fun, for entertainment purposes or to release stress. Whereas in lottery, they take their chances, hoping the odds will be on their favor.
To wrap it up, i think no amount of money would suffice someone's thirst in gambling if they don't have control and didn't put limitations. Afterall, it all boils down to one thing and that is being disciplined and responsible for every action and decision you make especially when it involves risking to the uncertainty.
