It creates a chain reaction in the mind, if you win you want to win more and if you loose you want to recover your money. So hardly an escape from the gambling after winning or losing. So the winning amount is not any extreme bound where people want to reach.

you are right that it is very hard to exit from gambling because people always seek for money and i have seen most of the gamblers have no employment so even if they win big amount of money then again after the finishing of that money he will come to the casino to gamble for more money, so in this way it become difficult to get rid of it.
Most gamblers who engaged too much from this activities commonly do this, since they are not working the only thing inside their minds is to continue chasing their luck inside this activities. There's no actual amount as if they will win huge it will be easy for them to waste everything and comeback and play again.

Stopping playing gamblig is really possible for players, but if your routine is to play gambling everyday and spend the money what you have that is hard to stop. If a player win more money in gambling I think they did not stop gambling because their mindset is they need to win or getting more money in playing.  I believe even you did not win in gambling a huge money you can stop if you want just make sure you have commitment and did not broke your plan.

also a player force stop playing gambling even they don't have any money anymore even their savings is zero that's the solution for this and they will realize what they lost.
It is very hard to stop because we gamble for years, and it become our habit, just having a target winning price or having that certain amount of money is not enough or it could not stop us from gambling, all we can do is to play in moderation without stop, there is no equivalent of money that can stop us from playing, we can only stop when we lost our interest and not having fun at all.
We should invest an amount that is minimum to lose as no one knows either we are going to win or lose and better keep less amount of money on risk. we should keep in mind that when to gamble and when to stop gambling. Right now in gambling, people are having fun but not making it a special way of income that's why to spend a small amount of money in gambling.

Yes I would say it is possible technically but I can only speak for myself.
If I ever won £50k or the day when my cumulative earnings reach £50k. (Mind you not dollars)
I've not quite reached even 10% of this milestone. I am sure I'll get there in the next 10 years. And then bye bye gambling!

Realistically, i don't think there will be any amount of money to make a man stop from gambling. But it cant be definite either.

For example, in lottery, some of those who won the prize were able to manage their money wisely (invested it) while others tend to carelessly spend their money to win again.

It also depends on the reasons why someone continues to gamble. In casino, they do it for fun, for entertainment purposes or to release stress. Whereas in lottery, they take their chances, hoping the odds will be on their favor.

To wrap it up, i think no amount of money would suffice someone's thirst in gambling if they don't have control and didn't put limitations. Afterall, it all boils down to one thing and that is being disciplined and responsible for every action and decision you make especially when it involves risking to the uncertainty.

I will stop gambling if I won a lottery worth few millions on in casinos where I get the overall profits in few hundred bitcoins. Grin

Sounds too much right but this will be the mindset of every gambler that is why people who won huge money also keep continuing.Greediness will never get satisfied...
Lol, nobody would say that they will stop gambling if they won in a lottery. Dude, that's a big win. It's millions with a $ sign on it. I'm sure that greediness will take over you since you already prove that you can win millions. Why not trying again? Double the cash double the happiness

I agree, about the greediness of us when it comes to money, on the bitter part of it, millions of profits will turns into dust if we let ourselves try it again because of our greed tells us to. Winning gains confidence but sometimes it gains air that makes your head big and lift you above the ground, and you will start to think that you're some kind of gambling master that could beat all the gambling houses.

There is nothing wrong in trying, but we have to be practical and smart about it, trying once or twice is enough to know the trap in your way in going deeper and deeper inside the gambling world.

Some of you guys are forgetting how life becomes so much more expensive the years go by and how you have to keep paying taxes as well as increasing your standard of living a bit.

Nobody who lives in a 1 bedroom apartment loft that is feeding on ramen for a week straight will suddenly keep doing that if they won 20 million dollars somewhere, sure they might be more inclined to life frugally because they know what they could go back to if they end up losing money but at the same time they will increase their standard of living to a whole new level as well. That is said I feel like life is so expensive every single year that eventually in 50 years you will need probably x4-x5 times the money you have now to continue living the same exact life, so calculate that as well.

Taking into consideration the above statement, I think the answer to OP question "How Much Money You Need To Win To Stop gambling, Is This Possible?"...

Will be: "at least jackpot in the national lottery", I suppose  Wink Huh.

Well, even though I'm not addicted and I don't want to stop gambling because it gives me the relaxation I need, I would stop if I won jackpot in the National Lottery. I mean if that was the condition of me winning, if I was told that I'd win $100 million but only on the condition that I'd stop gambling forever, I'd cope with that. Smiley With $100 million I wouldn't have to work for money anymore, and since gambling to me, is, fist of all, a relaxation from the hard work, without that work I think I could live without gambling.

well! my point is next. It doesn't depend on the amount, it depends on your will to stop gambling.though the question should be "will you stop gambling, if smb gives you N sum and you have to return it if you gamble again?"

That is what we need to realize. It is not about the amount of money, but it's how we can stop gambling after we played for some minutes or hours or with some money. But many of us not realize this, and we still gamble and spend more money, although we know that we don't have a big chance to win. We don't need to have goals in gambling if we know that the possibilities are not big to win because gambling is part of enjoying the game with money involved.

true, actually not how much money we get when we will decide to stop gambling, it all depends on our attitude to decide to stop or continue the game with the available money, because most gamblers he will not stop if the money he has runs out all, even some time later he will return to gambling when he gets capital back because he hopes to get a sensation of satisfaction while playing, especially capital that has been spent can be redeemed

sorry mate but i think there is nobody that tend to become addicted?all the people i talked that once addicted and those still now says they don't know that they are addicted instead there is no plan and just happened.

and many of them until now are not accepting they are addict.

We all have our own standards and indicators on whether the person becomes addicted or not. Frequent gambling may be an indicator of addiction or it may not, depends on the circumstances such as the value of money that a person would be willing to risks and the number of hour that a person would be willing to waste every single time he gambles.
As for me, I can label a person as an addicted gambler when he usually lost every single bit of penny in his pocket without any hesitation, or place huge bet in a single round of game. To make it short, addicted gamblers has a very high risk tolerance that his willing to lost his own house and car just to win everything.

First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold
... the biggest wins are gained for the price of mentioned above lottery ticket, which costs usually 1USD.
It's around $3, actually, for the most part of known lotteries, such as EuroMillions and Powerball, but your statement is still correct, the price is relatively small...

Indeed you are right, I gave a 1$ ticket in Euromillions as an example and I was thinking about the national lotto lottery, which actually is at stable 2euro for a long time, which is indeed around 3$.

https://lotto.nederlandseloterij.nl/

Anyways, I am happy you get my point.

addicted gamblers don't buy only one ticket. In some cases, they spend everything they have plus some borrowed money..."to increase their chances of winning"...

This is sadly true and I hear always from such people that if he will win then this will be enough to live as always dreamed and to never gamble again.

How Much Money You Need To Win To Stop gambling, Is This Possible.
...I think the question should be: "How much do you have to lose to stop gambling?" because this is a different story when you are broke and can't afford to play further...
I think the question is formulated correctly...gamblers, especially ... addicted, use the lack of money as an excuse for their constant gambling... to have a chance to win a lot one should risk a lot, and that maybe it's not worth even trying.

I tend to agree, that such question is indeed a great way to start a productive conversation, especially with addicted gamblers, but I can't agree on the second part, that you have to bet high to be able to win big because there are dozens of lotteries and other opportunities were for literally 1$ one can win millions of $$$. Let's take Euromillions or any other national lottery as an example.

Of course, these can be used as an excuse by gamblers, when they are on the losing strike and already lost a lot of money, but still, this is only an excuse. This is true that it is very possible that one will win big if bet high enough, when betting on sport or horses, but in real life, the biggest wins are gained for the price of mentioned above lottery ticket, which costs usually 1USD.

It's around $3, actually, for the most part of known lotteries, such as EuroMillions and Powerball, but your statement is still correct, the price is relatively small. However, addicted gamblers don't buy only one ticket. In some cases they spend everything they have plus some borrowed money on those tickets, in order "to increase their chances of winning", not realizing that even with tens of thousands dollars spent, their chance remains extremely small.

gambling addiction is the same as my need to drink, even though it does not fully affect but thirst will always arise.

maybe my reason is more specific on how to plan to be busy in another business so there is a target of money that I have to pursue from gambling, but the stronger I get it, the more thirsty I am. so there is no intention to stop at all.

I think there is no such gambler who gamblers in a daily basis, it's not anymore gambling occasionally, its a kind of addiction which is already serious.
I mean even those gamblers who are already professional, they don't gamble everyday, they also have a break and ensure that they'll have time to relax and refocus to improve their strategy.

Basically we've tackled this in our circle of friends. Mostly, they are gamblers, but their answer is quite simple. as long as you haven't lose amount of your total amount of fund you've bet, you could try to play again and again. Once it exceed your investment or total bet, it is pretty fair to stop it right there, and go back when you have another set of funds to risk and play again. But in my opinion, I need to have almost 5 times of profit first from playing because IMO, it is not worthy to stop if you haven't earned allot.
A gambler will not stop his game by just having a target money to obtain, if he will gonna do this one, it will only makes him frustrated and will keep him anxious and the tendency of it is it will make him addict, let the gambler to enjoy his game, but in moderation and proper management of time and especially money. I will not stop gambling since it is my hobby and it makes me feel happy.
That's right, there is no limitation of the desires of a gambler. We cannot say that if they achieve their goal then they will stop playing gambling anymore. Of course if they reached the money that they expect then their desires will even grow more. Discipline is what they need for them to have fully control to their emotions and feeling. We should learn to use our emotions to think and not to think with our emotions.
