Everything depends on you. If you are happy with 30 percent per coin, there are tons of altcoins that has shown such stats, even on the falling market. But if you are expecting x5, you should wait for the better market conditions, because nowadays a good profit is around 40-50 percent.
in my opinion those who invest their money in altcoins are people who are quite familiar with the altcoin.

certainly beneficial, so many people invest in some Altcoin. how much money you make, not how much but being able to make a living is a good thing and can be a job for you. many people have made money from Altcoin and not only in small amounts and can be rich in Altcoin results. they will continue to follow and make work for everyday life so they will continue to invest and wait for the results.
For me its just a 100 dollars right now. Mostly of my assets were still have no value. But I was trying to exchange it immediately in etherdelta. Because it has a high possibility that it is a scam project. So all in all that is still my profit from altcoins.

I have summed it for a total of 1000 usd for the possible profit I make, but considering the last market down price, it reduces to 50 percent so my growth profit right now is still just 500 usd. It should have been 1000 usd but I still am lucky.
It's not just about how much profit you can make from alts but how much patience you have to make the desired profits. Also it depends on how good the project is to really make it good.
i always do some trading with my altcoins. and it gives me some profit faster than investing on bitcoin. if you're lucky, you will get more than 100% profit in several month or even in several days. that's why i prefer doing some trading on altcoins than investing my money for ICO's altcoins.
